Chapter 1214 I Want to Go Through the Procedures with You

Cecilia got goosebumps all over her body.

His car sped through the city streets like an arrow in the dead of night.

"Why are you driving so fast?" Cecilia couldn't help but grab the handle above her.

Daryl glanced at her and grinned, "I can't wait."

Did he have to be so blunt? Her face turned red.

Soon, the car stopped in front of her apartment building.

Before the car even came to a complete stop, Cecilia quickly unbuckled her seatbelt, opened the door, and said, "Bye!" as she tried to make a quick exit.

His eyes flashed, and he got out of the driver's seat, taking a big step to block her path.

Seeing his expression, her eyes flashed, knowing that she couldn't take a forceful approach now and could only adopt a more gentle strategy.

Cecilia stepped forward, patted his shoulder, and said softly, "It's already past one in the morning. You're tired today, so you should go home and rest. I need to rest too..."

Before Cecilia could finish her sentence, Daryl grabbed her hand and wrapped his arm around her shoulder. "Both of us are tired, so we can rest together."

With that, he led Cecilia toward the hallway.

Cecilia turned pale with fright and quickly refused, "You should go rest at your place, and I'll rest at mine."

"Your place is my place," Daryl bantered with Cecilia as they walked.

After opening the door, Daryl stepped inside first, while Cecilia hesitated at the entrance.

He glanced at her standing outside the door, reached out, and pulled her inside, closing the door behind them.

Then, he pinned her against the wall and gave her a passionate kiss.

Her mind went blank, filled only with his breath, his warmth, and his passion.

The temperature in the room rose, gradually getting out of control.

His breathing became erratic, and she went limp in his arms.

Just as they were about to take the next step, he suddenly stopped, reached out, and turned on the light switch.

The room lit up brightly!

With the light shining on them, both Daryl and Cecilia's faces were flushed, and they were breathing heavily.

When her eyes adjusted to the bright light, she gazed at him, who had her pinned against the wall with his body and arms.

Seeing the doubt in her eyes, Daryl smiled, reached out, and pinched her chin, teasing, "You seem a bit unsatisfied?"

Cecilia swatted his hand away. "Annoying, you're the one who's unsatisfied, aren't you?"

But she didn't understand why he had stopped everything.

Earlier, she had felt that he was on the verge of losing control.

But just at the edge of losing control, he had stopped everything.

His eyes locked onto Cecilia's as he said, "Cecilia, I don't want our reunion to start with this. I want us to have a deep and unforgettable love, and then I'll marry you most grandly. We'll build a family, have a few adorable kids, and grow old together, living a long and happy life."

Cecilia felt deeply moved, as if she could already see scenes from years into the future.

She hadn't expected him to have such long-term plans for them. She didn't dare to think that far ahead, as it seemed unlikely that they could have such a long future together.

"You have it all planned out, but have you asked if I'm willing to marry you and grow old with you?" Cecilia playfully asked, staring at him.

Daryl confidently replied, "Do I need to ask? You'd be happy to."

"You're so arrogant and conceited, wanting me to have a few kids for you," Cecilia pouted.

Cecilia suddenly felt a lump in her throat, and her eyes welled up with tears.

Seeing her sorrowful expression, he immediately understood her thoughts.

Daryl frowned and said, "I'm sorry, I didn't take good care of you both. Trust me, I won't let you suffer any more grievances in the future."

His hand gripped her shoulder firmly, his eyes filled with determination and deep guilt.

"If that child were still here, he would be 100 days old now," Cecilia said sorrowfully, tears streaming down her face.

Daryl gently wiped away her tears with his thumb and then held her gently in his arms, looking up and saying, "Don't think about it. That child is surely happy in heaven right now. We'll always bless that child in our hearts."

"Mm," Cecilia nodded tearfully in his embrace.

Then, Daryl rested his chin on her forehead, caressing her as he said, "From now on, I want to give you a sweet romance and make up for everything I owe you."

Cecilia buried her face in his neck, tears of gratitude streaming down her face.

After a long while, Daryl pushed her shoulders gently and said, "It's late. You should rest early. I'll come see you tomorrow."

Cecilia wrapped her arms around his waist and said coquettishly, "No, I want you to stay with me."

Looking down at the coquettish Cecilia, Daryl smiled, gently stroking her long hair. "In a few hours, it'll be morning. Be good and sleep. I'll come over at ten tomorrow, okay?"

Cecilia looked into his eyes and saw his serious expression.

Cecilia couldn't help but feel puzzled. Given that they had just reconciled and his feelings for her were so intense, he shouldn't be willing to leave her, right? Besides, they had lived together before, so why didn't he want to stay the night now?

Seeing her confusion, Daryl smiled, reached out, and touched her cheek. "What? Can't bear to let me go?"

Cecilia glanced away, fiddling with his tie. "You're the one who can bear to leave me."

Seeing her pout, Daryl pinched her chin and said, "How could I bear to leave you? I dream of being with you day and night. But I don't want to hurt you again. This time, I want to do things properly."

"Properly?" Cecilia frowned and asked.

Daryl then explained, "Yes, I want to go through the stages of dating, discussing marriage, getting married, and having children with you. I don't want you to be unmarried and pregnant again. I want you to be the happiest bride. So I won't stay the night. No matter how late it is, I'll leave. From now on, I want to respect you and make sure my family and everyone at Fields Group respects you too!"
