Chapter 436 Doing Something Else
Isabella, Maria, and Leon were hanging outside the office when they heard a scream from Susan's office, then dead silence.
They were waiting for a while, feeling kinda awkward. It was pretty clear what was going down in there.
Leon, being a man, was just a bit embarrassed, but Isabella and Maria, both young women, turned red and didn't know what to do.
Isabella quickly said, "Mr. Johnson, I'll grab you a coffee!"
And with that, she bolted.
"I've got a document to finish, excuse me." Maria also made a quick exit.
Leon was left solo. He chuckled and plopped down in a chair.
He was almost always with Seb, and stuff like this happened a lot, so he was used to it and didn't care much.
A few minutes later, Isabella came back with a steaming cup of coffee.
"Mr. Johnson, here's your coffee." Isabella handed it over.
Leon jumped up to grab it, but somehow, the cup slipped and crashed to the floor!
The porcelain cup shattered, and coffee splashed everywhere, even on Leon's pants.
Seeing the mess on Leon's pants, Isabella said, "I'm so sorry, Mr. Johnson."
Isabella was super frustrated. How could she screw up such a simple task?
Leon looked down at the coffee on his pants, feeling a bit grossed out but still politely said, "It's all good."
"I'll get a wet towel to clean it up." Isabella quickly ran to the break room.
Inside the office, Susan, who was being kissed by Seb, heard the crash outside and took the chance to push Seb away.
"What was that noise? Sounded like something broke." Susan said as she got up to leave.
Seb grabbed her wrist.
Susan got a bit anxious. "Stop it, let me go check what's going on outside, okay? We can continue this at home; it's not cool here."
Susan lowered her head. She had to play it soft, or he might get wild.
Earlier, he had some restraint, just kissing her a few times without going further. But if they kept going, they'd definitely end up doing it right there.
Hearing this, Seb grinned and said, "Look at you now. If you go out like this, everyone will know what we were up to."
Susan got his point. She quickly fixed her clothes and was about to step out.
Seb grabbed her arm again, and she frowned and looked back.
Seb's eyes were intense. "Don't forget what you promised me."
"What?" Susan asked, frowning.
She didn't remember promising him anything.
He gently touched her fingernails and slowly replied, "Didn't you say I could continue when we get home?"
Hearing this, Susan shoved him away, making Seb stumble.
Susan smirked and said, "That depends on my mood."
With that, she slipped out of the office.
As soon as she stepped out, Susan saw Leon standing there, while Isabella was squatting in front of him, trying to clean the stain on his pants with a wet towel. Maria was sweeping up the broken pieces of the coffee cup.
"What happened?" Susan asked, confused.
"I accidentally dropped the coffee cup, and it spilled on Mr. Johnson's pants," Isabella said, looking guilty.
Leon chimed in, "It's not Miss Brown's fault; I didn't catch the cup."
Seeing them both taking the blame, Susan said, "It's just a cup, no biggie. But those pants need a trip to the dry cleaners."
"I'm really sorry," Isabella said, feeling awful.
Leon’s pants were clearly pricey.
Leon said, "It's fine, Miss Brown. No need to worry. I'll just go home and change."
"How can you go out like this? Let me clean it a bit more," Isabella insisted, holding the towel and trying to clean Leon's pants again.
Leon stepped back and politely declined, "No need, thank you, Miss Brown."
Seeing Leon step back and refuse her help, Isabella stood up awkwardly.
At that moment, Seb walked out of Susan's office.
Leon quickly stepped forward, ready for orders.
Seb glanced at Leon's pants but said nothing, just, "Let's go."
"Yes, sir." Leon quickly grabbed the briefcase he had left on the table.
"I'll see you out," Susan said, following Seb.
When Seb reached the door, he suddenly stopped, turned around, and pulled out a phone from his suit pocket, handing it to Susan. "I was busy with something else and forgot to give you this. You left your phone in the car, so I brought it up."
Hearing this, Susan's face turned red!
What did he mean by "busy with something else"? Wasn't it obvious to everyone what they were doing in the office?
Susan quickly glanced at Leon, Maria, and Isabella, who were all looking down, pretending not to have heard anything.
At that moment, Susan glared at Seb, then reached out and took her phone.
So, he had come up to give her the phone and had run into James, who was causing trouble.
As she took the phone, Seb took the chance to touch her hand.
Susan got a bit anxious, but Seb smiled at her and said, "I'm leaving. I'll pick you up after work!"
Before Susan could say anything, Seb turned and left, with Leon following behind.
After they left, Susan looked down at the phone in her hand and pursed her lips.
Then, Susan turned around and saw Isabella holding the wet towel, lost in thought.
She walked up and nudged Isabella. "What are you thinking about?"
"Nothing," Isabella said, then took the towel to the break room.
Seeing this, Susan felt something was off and followed her.
