Chapter 1220 Kneeling on the Ground to Put Shoes on Someone

Cecilia couldn't help but smile, but she was still a bit unsure. After all, a single dress cost several thousand dollars, and buying two at once would be over ten thousand dollars. Although this amount was nothing to Daryl, she didn't want to waste his money.

The sales assistant quickly stepped forward and said, "Miss, look how much your boyfriend cares about you! He didn't even blink an eye buying two dresses!"

Cecilia smiled and had no choice but to follow his suggestion and take both dresses.

She went to the fitting room to change.

By the time she came out of the fitting room, Daryl had already settled the bill.

"Thank you for your patronage, sir and miss. We look forward to your next visit!" The sales assistant handed two shopping bags to Daryl with both hands.

"Thank you," Cecilia said with a smile.

Cecilia then took his arm and walked out of the boutique.

"We need to get you a pair of shoes to match," Daryl said, glancing down at her feet.

Cecilia replied, "No need, I have a pair of silver shoes that will match perfectly."

"No way, this is your first time taking on such an important role. You need a whole new outfit," Daryl insisted.

Seeing his determination, Cecilia didn't refuse.

Daryl then took her to a high-end shoe store in the mall.

Seeing the shoes priced at tens of thousands of dollars, Cecilia couldn't help but frown.

The sales assistant was overly enthusiastic, making Cecilia feel very uncomfortable.

"These shoes are too expensive. Let's look somewhere else," Cecilia whispered in his ear when the sales assistant wasn't paying attention.

Daryl smiled and whispered back, "You're already learning to save money for me? You're getting into this role, and you said you still needed to think about marrying me."

Cecilia playfully hit his arm. "Stop it, I'm being serious!"

Daryl suddenly became serious and said, "Alright, let's be serious. You can be casual with clothes, but shoes must be good. If your feet aren't comfortable, your whole body won't be comfortable. When your feet are comfortable, you can walk with confidence and presence!"

Cecilia couldn't help but say, "I really can't argue with you!"

Daryl always had a reason for everything, and it was hard to refute him.

Daryl then helped her pick out a few styles.

The sales assistant quickly brought several pairs of shoes and knelt on the ground to help Cecilia try them on.

Cecilia usually bought affordable shoes and had never experienced such service, making her feel very uncomfortable. Moreover, the sales assistant seemed older than her, making her feel particularly awkward.

Seeing Cecilia frowning, Daryl immediately sensed her discomfort.

Daryl then said to the sales assistant, "You can go ahead with your work. We'll try them ourselves."

The sales assistant was stunned, not understanding what the customer meant, but she had no choice but to stand up and say, "Take your time. Call me if you need anything."

"Okay," Daryl nodded.

The sales assistant then stepped aside.

Sitting on the bench, she looked up at him, not understanding what he meant. He suddenly knelt on one knee in front of her!

Seeing Daryl kneel in front of her, she immediately panicked!

What was he doing? Proposing? Even if he was proposing, there was no need to do it in a shoe store, right?

She quickly looked around. Fortunately, there were no other customers in the shoe store, only a few female sales assistants.

He took a golden high heel and gently put it on her.

Seeing his actions, she was stunned!

It turned out he just wanted to help her change shoes. She thought he was proposing. Her face turned red.

He was attentive. He had completely noticed her discomfort earlier.

He helped her put on the other shoe and said, "Try walking and see how it feels."

"Oh," a stunned Cecilia responded and immediately stood up to walk around the shoe store.

Cecilia noticed the sales assistants looking at her with envious eyes, whispering to each other.

Cecilia couldn't help but touch her hair, her face slightly red.

Daryl then asked, "How does it feel?"

"I think it's a bit tight," Cecilia said, looking down at the shoes.

Daryl said, "Let's try the next pair."

He then had her sit back on the bench and knelt on one knee to take off her shoes.

Two women happened to pass by the shoe store entrance.

One was in her fifties or sixties, dressed in luxurious clothing, clearly a wealthy lady; the other was young and beautiful, dressed fashionably and elegantly, clearly a rich girl.

Skylar held Azalea's arm, chatting and laughing along the way.

"Skylar, I'm so happy you could come shopping with me today. There are so few girls as patient as you nowadays!" Azalea said, looking at Skylar with a smile.

Skylar shyly replied, "Azalea, you're too kind. I just feel a connection with you and enjoy spending time with you."

"I also enjoy chatting and laughing with you," Azalea said, patting her hand with a smile.

Skylar glanced up unintentionally and suddenly stopped.

"What's wrong?" Seeing Skylar stop, Azalea looked in the direction of Skylar's gaze towards the shoe store.

"Daryl?" When Azalea saw the person in the shoe store, she couldn't help but exclaim in surprise.

Azalea saw Daryl kneeling on one knee, helping a young girl sitting on the bench put on shoes.

Seeing this scene, Azalea couldn't help but frown.

Seeing her face darken, Skylar exclaimed, "Azalea, it's Daryl. What is he doing? Why is he kneeling to put shoes on someone?"

Azalea's face became even more somber. "Who is that woman? She looks so familiar."

Skylar took a closer look and said, "She does look familiar. I remember now, her name is Cecilia. She's a reporter for Vogue Vista and has interviewed me before!"
