Chapter 1300 Gentle and Considerate

Azalea quickly nodded, "Yeah, we can't fire them. But what's up with the photos? Are they trying to blackmail the Fields family?"

"We're not sure yet," replied Finn, the butler, as she put the photos back in the envelope.

Suddenly, Finn noticed a note inside the envelope. "Mrs. Fields, there's a note in here," he said, surprised.

"Read it," Azalea urged.

Finn nodded, opened the note, and read aloud, "I sent you these photos with no other intention than to stand up for justice. I can't bear to see this shameless woman ruin your family!"

Azalea and Finn were stunned, their mouths hanging open, unable to react immediately.

The next moment, Azalea slammed her hand on the table, "See? Even the servants can't stand it, and yet we're the ones being fooled."

"Mrs. Fields, what do you plan to do?" Finn asked, frowning.

"We can't let Cecilia get away with this. Keep a close eye on her and Elijah. They can't be alone together anymore!" Azalea ordered.

"Get it," Finn nodded quickly.

"But watching them all the time isn't a long-term solution," Finn pointed out.

Azalea added, "Cecilia won't back down easily. We can't let her continue to destroy our family."

"But what about Mr. Daryl Fields?" Finn asked, frowning.

Azalea thought for a moment, "Daryl won't believe us just based on our words. He won't believe his precious Cecilia could do such a thing."

She threw the envelope onto the desk in frustration.

"So, what do you suggest?" Finn asked, her brow furrowed.

"Better to rip the band-aid off quickly. Dragging this out won't end well," Azalea said after a moment of contemplation.

"You mean to tell Mr. Daryl Fields?" Finn asked, shocked.

"What else can we do? Daryl might abandon the Fields family, but he won't abandon Cecilia. Let him see what kind of woman she really is. Once he knows she's playing both brothers, he'll give up on her," Azalea decided firmly.

"But this could affect Mr. Daryl Fields and Mr. Elijah's relationship. If they fall out, it won't be good," Finn worried.

"We can't worry about that now. Getting Cecilia out of the Fields family is the priority. As long as she's here, we won't have peace. Daryl and Elijah are good kids, and they've always been close. I believe Elijah was just caught up in the moment. They might have some conflict, but they're brothers. They'll get over it. But if we keep Cecilia around, who knows what disaster she'll cause," Azalea said, frowning.

Finn nodded, "This seems like the only way."

Azalea then whispered instructions into Finn's ear for a long time.

Meanwhile, Skylar sat on her couch, swirling a glass of red wine with a smug smile on her face.

Charlotte walked over, noticing her daughter's expression, and sat beside her, "Why are you in such a good mood today?"

Skylar grinned at her mother, "Mom, Cecilia is about to be kicked out of the Fields family!"

Charlotte raised an eyebrow, "What happened?"

Skylar replied proudly, "I had someone in the Fields family take photos of Cecilia and Elijah hugging."

Charlotte's eyes widened, "What? Cecilia and Elijah hugging? How is that possible?"

"I didn't expect it either, but it's true. Mom, I almost admire Cecilia. She managed to get Daryl, and now she's going after Elijah. As a woman, I wonder what she has that we don't. Both brothers are wrapped around her finger. Godmother will probably be furious when she sees these photos," Skylar sneered.

"You sent the photos to Daryl's mother?" Charlotte asked.

"Of course, I wasn't stupid enough to deliver them myself. I had them sent through the post office, so it can't be traced back to me. Such juicy photos shouldn't go to waste. Let the Fields family see what kind of woman they brought into their home," Skylar said, laughing coldly.

"Let's see how the Fields family handles this," Charlotte said.

"Mom, let's just sit back and enjoy the show," Skylar said, taking a big sip of her wine.

Two nights later, Cecilia and Daryl were sitting by the floor-to-ceiling windows of a revolving restaurant, enjoying a meal and conversation.

The restaurant was famous for being on the top floor of the tallest building in Maple Valley, offering a panoramic view of the city's nightscape.

"The steak here is pretty good, right?" Daryl asked, chewing his steak and looking at Cecilia.

Cecilia smiled slightly, gazing at the sparkling lights outside, "I heard you have to book a table here at least half a month in advance. Did you book it a long time ago?"

Daryl smiled, "I noticed you seemed down lately, so I wanted to take you out to cheer you up."

Cecilia was touched by his deep gaze. He had been trying to make her happy because he noticed she wasn't herself lately.

Honestly, he wasn't a very romantic person, but everything he did for her today made Cecilia feel bittersweet. She couldn't repay him, not even with a child, something any ordinary woman could do.

In the past, looking at the night view of Maple Valley, she would have felt incredibly happy. But now, her heart felt heavy, as if a stone was pressing down on it.

Seeing Cecilia's troubled expression, Daryl reached out and held her hand on the table, "What's wrong?"

"Nothing, I'm just amazed by the view. I've never been here before," Cecilia forced a smile, not wanting Daryl to notice her distress.

"If you like it, I can bring you here often," Daryl said, smiling.
