Chapter 1235 Cherish What You Have Now
Hearing Cecilia's voice, Daryl was overjoyed and then directed the speedboat over.
Daryl and the sailor pulled Cecilia onto the speedboat.
Daryl's hands gripped her shoulders, his deep and serious eyes examining her, with tears in his eyes.
"Daryl!" Seeing him standing in front of her, Cecilia rushed forward and hugged his neck, bursting into tears.
Her crying was already weak; her strength was severely exhausted.
Then, suddenly stimulated, Cecilia started hitting his shoulder while crying and complaining, "Daryl, you bastard, why did you take so long?"
Hearing her cursing, Daryl was not angry but happy, holding her tightly and comforting her, "Hit me, it's all my fault. I should never have let you travel alone!"
Daryl's brows furrowed tightly, his eyes full of pain and guilt.
"I will never go abroad again." Cecilia, who had narrowly escaped death, cried and hugged him tightly, refusing to let go.
After hugging tightly for a few minutes, Daryl pushed her shoulders away, his warm hand caressing her pale cheek, his eyes were locked on her, as if he wanted to etch her into his soul.
"We will never be apart again!" Daryl declared, staring at her.
Cecilia nodded heavily.
Her legs went weak, and she fainted.
"Cecilia? Cecilia?" Daryl held her, the veins on his forehead bulging, then turned to the helmsman and shouted, "Head back immediately!"
The speedboat then quickly headed towards the shore.
Cecilia felt like she had slept for a very long time, extremely tired, and kept having nightmares, dreaming of being submerged in water repeatedly.
"Ah, help!" Cecilia sat up abruptly after being submerged again in her dream.
"Don't be afraid, you just had a nightmare!" a gentle male voice came to her ear.
Cecilia felt her hand being held by a warm hand, giving her great comfort.
Turning her head, Cecilia saw Daryl sitting by the hospital bed, holding a tissue to wipe the sweat from her forehead.
"Where am I?" Cecilia looked around in confusion, realizing everything was white; she must be in the hospital again.
"This is the hospital," Daryl said with a smile.
Cecilia touched the back of her head and said, "I'm not sick, why am I in the hospital?"
Daryl smiled and held her hand, saying, "When you were rescued last night, you were almost dehydrated. You need to stay for observation and have a full body check-up."
"So troublesome," Cecilia frowned.
"I'm not afraid of the trouble, we need to make sure you're okay," Daryl said patiently.
"Alright, being in that space between life and death feels awful. I'll do the check-up. I haven't lived enough yet!" Cecilia joked.
Daryl held her hands seriously and said, "We both need to live long lives, and you have to grow old with me."
Cecilia looked up at his serious eyes, feeling warmth in her heart.
"If I get so old that I lose my teeth, you can't dislike me!" Cecilia said playfully.
Daryl smiled and said, "I'm several years older than you. If anyone loses their teeth first, it will be me, so you can't dislike me."
Cecilia smiled and raised her chin, saying, "So you're feeling insecure?"
"Being with you, I've always felt insecure because there's always someone competing with me. Sometimes I wish you weren't so beautiful, so gentle, so unique," Daryl said, holding her in his arms, cherishing her.
Lying in his arms, Cecilia complained, "What kind of thinking is that? Always hoping I'm not beautiful or gentle. You should work on improving yourself to outshine all competitors."
"I feel I'm better than those competitors, but sometimes you don't see it," Daryl teased.
"Annoying, so it's my fault?" Cecilia lightly slapped his chest.
She only slapped lightly; she couldn't bear to use force.
After a near-death experience, Cecilia cherished her relationship with Daryl even more, appreciating his care.
Daryl didn't mind her complaints, just held her tighter and gently kissed her lips.
For the regained Cecilia, Daryl felt even more cherished.
Daryl said emotionally, "Cecilia, I won't let you leave me again."
Cecilia's heart stirred, and she buried her face in his chest, murmuring, "I never want to leave you again."
"Luckily, you came back safely. Last night, I couldn't imagine what I would do if something happened to you," Daryl's eyes were filled with fear.
Cecilia tightly hugged his waist and said, "I also thought this time was hopeless. I thought I would never see you again."
As she spoke, her eyes welled up with tears.
She didn't expect Daryl to rush to Sylvanor immediately and personally rescue her from the sea. He must have hurried over from Maple Valley as soon as he got the news. Although she didn't know the specifics, she could imagine he must have rushed to save her.
Looking down at the tearful Cecilia, Daryl lowered his head and kissed her.
This kiss contained too many emotions, passion, wildness, tenderness, cherishing, and love.
They kissed on the hospital bed for a long time until they were both breathless, the room's temperature rising, almost leading to making love.
The door was suddenly pushed open from the outside.
They instinctively let go of each other.
A female nurse from Sylvanor entered, saw them kissing, and started speaking rapidly in her language.
"What did she say?" Cecilia frowned and asked.
"I don't know, it's Sylvanor's language," Daryl replied.
Daryl walked up to the nurse and spoke a few words, but the nurse didn't understand, which frustrated Daryl.
