Chapter 679 Brand-Name Items

Seeing Susan's defeated demeanor, Seb tugged at the corner of his mouth and said, "You were the one dressed provocatively, and I'm simply reacting accordingly."

"You..." This time, Susan was at a loss for words. After all, it was her own fault for forgetting to wear a bra.

The next moment, Seb lowered his gaze and said, "Don't forget our agreement. You only have two hours to visit Spring and Hayden each time."

At this point, Seb glanced at his wristwatch. It was clear he was telling Susan that she had already been there for over an hour and that her two hours were almost up.

Understanding Seb's implication, Susan frowned and said, "Can't you see how scared Spring is that I'll leave? Are you even a father? Spring is sick right now, and you want to make her cry?"

Susan's protest made Seb frown. After hesitating for a moment, he said, "Then wait until you've put her to sleep before you leave."

"But..." Susan naturally didn't want to leave Spring. Spring was sick, and thinking about the way Spring clung to her earlier made her heart ache.

However, Seb didn't give Susan any chance to argue. He then said, "I have an important meeting at the company. I'm leaving now!"

With that, Seb turned and left.

Watching Seb's departing figure, Susan couldn't help but mutter under her breath, "Seb, you bastard!"

Back in the ward, Spring reached out her little hands and called, "Mommy, Mommy!"

Seeing Spring's attachment to her, Susan felt heartbroken. She quickly went over, took Spring's little hand, and smiled. "Spring, how about I tell you a story?"

"Okay!" Spring clapped her little hands.

"Once upon a time..." Susan sat by the bedside, patiently telling Spring a story, cherishing every minute with her.

Soon, Spring, who was receiving an IV drip, fell asleep.

Looking at Spring's little face, Susan felt very sad.

Seb was a man of his word, he would definitely send someone to urge her to leave.

But Spring was sick; how could she bear to leave?

Just as Susan was torn, the door to the ward was gently pushed open.

Susan looked up and saw Leon walking in with two shopping bags.

"Leon?" Seeing Leon, Susan stood up, knowing that Seb must have sent him.

Leon glanced at the sleeping Spring on the bed, then walked over and smiled, saying, "Ms. Wilson, Mr. Anderson asked me to bring you these."

Susan suspiciously took the shopping bags from Leon and peeked inside. They were filled with clothes and shoes.

"What is this..." Susan was puzzled. Seb bought her clothes and shoes?

At this moment, Leon smiled and said, "Mr. Anderson personally bought these for you, saying you'd be more comfortable in the hospital with them."

Hearing this, Susan immediately asked, "What does he mean?"

"Isn't it obvious? Mr. Anderson wants you to stay in the hospital with Spring until she recovers and is discharged," Leon explained with a smile.

Upon hearing this, Susan was so surprised her eyes almost popped out.

What did this mean? Seb agreed to let her stay with Spring?

After the initial surprise, Susan smiled and said, "Did you persuade him?"

Seb was particularly stubborn, but maybe he would listen to Leon.

Leon, however, smiled and put his hands in his pockets, saying embarrassedly, "Mr. Anderson loves Spring too much. He couldn't bear to see her cry. Otherwise, nothing I said would have worked."

Hearing this, Susan understood and smiled, "Thank you, Leon."

"Don't mention it. It was all Mr. Anderson. By the way, Mr. Anderson will be very busy these next few days with a tight schedule, so he asked me to leave everything here to you and Mary," Leon conveyed Seb's message.

"Mary and I will definitely take good care of Spring," Susan promised immediately.

"Alright, I'll be going then." With that, Leon took his leave.

After Leon left, Mary looked at the shopping bags in Susan's hands and smiled, "Ms. Wilson, Mr. Anderson is very thoughtful, knowing that your clothes and shoes are inconvenient in the hospital."

Hearing Mary's words, Susan smiled and said, "I'll go to the restroom to change. You watch over Spring."

"Okay," Mary nodded.

Then, Susan took the shopping bags and went into the restroom.

Locking the restroom door, Susan took out a violet sweater, a pair of black leggings, a wool skirt, and a pair of flat boots from the shopping bags.

The clothes were beautiful, elegant yet not lacking in sophistication. The tags showed they were brand-name items. Just the pure cashmere sweater alone cost several hundred dollars, and with the skirt and boots, the whole outfit was nearly three thousand dollars.

Looking at the clothes in her hands, Susan sighed.

Leon said Seb personally picked these out for her. Did he still care about her in his heart? Otherwise, he wouldn't have personally bought her clothes.

At this moment, Susan noticed another small shopping bag inside one of the larger ones.

Frowning, Susan reached for the small bag and saw a glimpse of something black inside.

The next moment, Susan suspiciously pulled out the black item.

It turned out to be a bra!

Seeing the bra, Susan's face blushed.

He actually went and bought her underwear.

But he got it right because she really needed a bra right now.

However, the bra's design was quite unique. It was strapless, and the clasp was in the front.

Looking closely at the bra's tag, Susan saw that this small piece of fabric cost seven hundred dollars!

Susan had never worn such expensive underwear before. This time, she could experience the quality of a world-renowned brand.

A minute later, Susan put on the black bra.

In the mirror above the sink, Susan saw herself with a great figure. The black bra was worth every penny of the seven hundred dollars. The design and fit were excellent, and the size was perfect, as if it were custom-made for her.

As Susan admired her figure in the mirror, her phone on the sink suddenly rang!

Without looking at the caller ID, Susan answered the phone.

"Hello?"

The person on the other end cleared their throat.

Just from that sound, Susan immediately knew it was Seb on the other end, and her heart tightened.
