Chapter 1160 Gave Birth

Cecilia packed her clothes and personal items, while Freya stood by, looking at Cecilia with a sad expression.

Cecilia lifted the suitcase off the bed and, sensing Freya's reluctant gaze, felt a pang of sadness herself.

Freya was adorable and kind, and took great care of her. Honestly, Cecilia was a bit reluctant to leave her, but parting was inevitable. She could only keep this reluctance and nostalgia in her heart.

"Freya, don't be sad. We can still be friends in the future," Cecilia said with a smile.

Hearing this, Freya replied, "Really? Ms. Thorne, can we be friends?"

"Of course," Cecilia said, patting Freya's sturdy shoulder.

Leaving Daryl's house and saying goodbye to Freya, Cecilia looked up at the blue sky and suddenly felt a sense of relief.

From now on, she finally had no ties with Daryl.

Cecilia started looking for a place to live, not wanting to trouble Susan anymore, so she didn't plan to move back into her house. From now on, she would rely on herself to live in Maple Valley.

After searching for most of the day, Cecilia finally found a 500-square-foot one-bedroom apartment in a slightly remote area. The neighborhood was a bit chaotic, but the apartment was decent and affordable.

From that day on, Cecilia began living independently, buying daily necessities, thoroughly cleaning the apartment, and preparing to go to work the next day.

On the day Cecilia left, it was drizzling outside. Daryl sat in his car, watching Cecilia walk away with her suitcase from a distance.

Seeing her without an umbrella, her hair partially wet, Daryl frowned.

"Mr. Fields, should I bring Ms. Thorne an umbrella?" Douglas, sitting in the driver's seat, asked, turning back.

Hearing this, Daryl hesitated for a moment but then said firmly, "No need."

Despite saying this, Daryl's eyes were filled with pain as he watched Cecilia's figure disappear into the distance. But for a better future together, he had to harden his heart now.

Time flew by, and four months passed in a blink.

It was a weekend, and Cecilia had arranged to have dinner with Susan and Isabella.

In a bright and clean restaurant, Cecilia, Susan, and Isabella sat around a table of Mexican food, eating and laughing.

"This is probably the last time I'll have Mexican food before giving birth. It's so delicious; I need to eat more!" Isabella said, smiling as she put food into her mouth.

"Your due date is a week before mine; I might get to eat one more meal," Susan said with a smile.

Hearing this, Cecilia said, "You two are really lucky, even having babies at the same time!"

"Over the years, we've shared the good and the bad together. It's been over a decade; thinking about it, it's not easy," Susan said, looking at Isabella with emotion.

"Yes, thinking about these years feels like a dream," Isabella said, also with emotion.

"Alright, you both have such happy lives now. Even if it was tough before, it was worth it. Unlike me, still struggling to make ends meet!" Cecilia said with a bitter smile.

Hearing this, Susan and Isabella exchanged a glance.

Susan then asked, "Cecilia, are you really breaking up with Daryl?"

Hearing this, Cecilia pursed her lips and said, "Isn't this good? I feel relieved these past few months, and my life is peaceful. I like my life now."

Every day, Cecilia worked hard and achieved some success at work. She had been transferred to the financial profiles team by Seraphine and was now the team leader, with a salary increase. In just a few months, she could handle things independently.

"But as far as I know, Daryl and Skylar haven't reconciled, and recently, Tate Corporation has been causing trouble for Fields Corporation. Both families have been clashing constantly," Susan said.

"In that case, there's hope for Daryl and Cecilia to get back together," Isabella interjected.

Hearing this, Cecilia smiled lightly and said, "Even if he and Skylar can't reconcile, it has nothing to do with me. Don't mention him anymore; it's all in the past. I've forgotten about him."

Hearing this, Susan and Isabella exchanged another glance.

Isabella then said, "Honestly, a man like Daryl isn't worth your lifelong commitment. How about I introduce you to someone better?"

Hearing this, Cecilia smiled lightly. "I feel like I'm still young and don't want to get into a relationship. I'd rather focus on my career for now and think about relationships later."

"I agree. Sometimes, you can't rush relationships, which is something you encounter, not something you seek," Susan said with a smile.

At that moment, Isabella's knife and fork suddenly slipped onto the table.

"Isabella, what's wrong?" Susan and Cecilia's eyes were fixed on Isabella.

At this moment, Isabella's brows were furrowed, her hand on her swollen belly, looking very uncomfortable.

Then, Isabella urgently said, "Susan, Cecilia, I'm going into labor. Take me to the hospital quickly!"

Hearing this, Susan and Cecilia panicked.

Cecilia stood up and helped Isabella. "Isabella, don't panic. I'll take you to the hospital right away!"

"Well, this baby couldn't wait until I finished my meal? Unbelievable," Isabella complained as she walked.

At this moment, Susan, following behind Isabella and Cecilia, suddenly exclaimed.

"Wait!" Susan frowned, holding onto the wall.

Hearing Susan's exclamation, Cecilia and Isabella turned around to find Susan also clutching her belly, her face contorted in pain.

"Susan, what's wrong?" Seeing Susan in pain, Cecilia asked with a frown.

"I think I'm going into labor too!" Susan said, holding her belly with difficulty.

Hearing this, Isabella shouted, "No way! Are you joining the fun too?"

"Who can predict childbirth? Just because it's your due date doesn't mean I can't go into labor!" Susan said, still in the mood to banter with Isabella while holding onto the wall.

Hearing this, Isabella frowned and said, "Looks like we will really give birth together. We must have been fated in a past life."

"Isabella, Susan, what should I do?" Cecilia, seeing both Susan and Isabella about to give birth, suddenly didn't know what to do.

Then, Cecilia called the waiter to help call an ambulance and took turns calling Seb and Leon.

Outside the delivery room, two tall men were waiting. One sat on a bench, rubbing his face, while the other paced the hallway, running his hands through his hair.

"How did it happen so quickly? It's not even the due date yet!" Seb said, waving his hand in the air, his expression full of tension.
