Chapter 1237 Vacation
Feeling the pain in his lower back, Daryl's face twisted in agony.
Cecilia saw this and couldn't help but stifle a laugh.
Soon, the nurse adjusted the IV drip, and then she and the translator smiled at them before leaving the room.
After the door closed, Cecilia looked up and met his eyes. His large hand was holding her other hand that wasn't hooked up to the IV. Their eyes locked, filled with tenderness.
Cecilia reached out to touch his face and said with concern, "Look at you, you look so exhausted. Listen to me, go back to the hotel and get some sleep. I'm fine now."
Daryl insisted, "I don't want to leave you. I want to stay here with you."
Seeing his firm attitude, Cecilia had no choice but to say, "Then lie down here and sleep for a while. I just woke up, I'm not tired."
She made room on the bed for him.
Seeing the space she made, he smiled and then lay down on the bed, closing his eyes.
Soon, his breathing became steady.
Cecilia looked at the sleeping Daryl and a happy smile appeared on her lips.
She knew he must be very tired, rushing from Maple Valley to Sylvanor, and then spending half the night searching for her at sea. While she slept soundly, he stayed by her side, undoubtedly exhausted.
Cecilia quietly watched the sleeping Daryl, grateful for the heavens' favor that they were both alive and happily together.
The next morning, Daryl walked into the hospital room wearing a silver suit.
Seeing him walk in, her eyes lit up.
She walked up to him, pinched the collar of his suit with her fingers, and said with a smile, "You look so handsome today!"
"Really?" Daryl raised an eyebrow.
He was wearing a silver suit, paired with a blue shirt and a silver tie. His hair was neatly combed, and his stubble was clean-shaven. He looked energetic and full of spirit.
"Especially handsome, you could charm all the nurses in the hospital," Cecilia said, deliberately elongating her words.
Daryl smiled and asked, "Did I charm you?"
Cecilia lowered her head with a smile, her face a bit red. Then she took two steps back and asked with a smile, "What do you think?"
"Then I need to test it." With that, Daryl took a step forward to kiss her cheek.
Cecilia looked at the papers in his hand and quickly changed the subject. "What are you holding?"
Daryl handed the documents to her and said, "Your medical report."
Her medical report was all normal.
Looking down at the report in her hand, Cecilia looked up joyfully and asked him, "Can I be discharged now?"
"I've already asked Douglas to handle your discharge paperwork."
Her face lit up with joy. She tossed the report onto the bed and walked to the window, stretching. "Great, I can finally leave the hospital. This place feels suffocating."
Daryl walked up, holding her shoulders with both hands, and said, "The atmosphere here isn't great. I booked a private villa by the sea. Let's stay there for a few days."
Cecilia was stunned for a second, then asked, "We're not going back to Maple Valley?"
Seeing her surprised expression, Daryl smiled and said, "Since we're already here, why not take a short vacation? I don't want to come back to Sylvanor with you again because this place makes me uneasy."
"A vacation together? That's great!" Hearing that he would stay with her for a few days, Cecilia excitedly threw her arms around his neck, hanging onto him.
He then spun around, and the two of them twirled in the air, filling the quiet hospital room with laughter.
By noon, he had taken Hera to a seaside villa.
The house on the island was surrounded by the sea on three sides, with floor-to-ceiling glass windows on all three sides. The blue sea, golden beach, and green coconut trees were all in view, creating a beautiful landscape.
"So beautiful!" Cecilia stood by the floor-to-ceiling window, gazing at the distant blue sea.
He took off his suit jacket and loosened his tie, then walked up behind her and wrapped his arms around her waist.
He kissed her neck and said, "This villa belongs to a friend of mine, and even this part of the sea is his. I borrowed it for a few days. It's very quiet here, and apart from security and staff, no one will disturb us."
Cecilia pouted and said, "Rich people have it good, even their social circles are so high-end!"
"Are you a bit envious?" Daryl teased her.
She smiled, and he lowered his head to kiss her lips.
But the kiss was brief. Daryl said, "No need to be envious, what's mine is yours."
With that, he lowered his head to kiss her again.
But Cecilia quickly covered his mouth. "Isn't that enough?"
Daryl pulled her hand away from his mouth and said, "Not enough!"
He turned and pressed her onto the soft bed.
His shirt collar was slightly open, and his deep, intense eyes were fixed on her. Her heart tightened!
She felt the atmosphere in the room becoming more intimate, the temperature gradually rising. Beside her head were his suit jacket and tie.
"What are you doing?" Seeing his wolf-like gaze, Cecilia quickly looked away.
But when she looked at the bedside table, she noticed a beautiful colorful box on it.
"What do you think I'm doing?" his voice was already hoarse.
"What's that?" Cecilia knew what he was thinking, feeling both shy and nervous. It had been a long time since they made love, and honestly, she felt both resistant and expectant.
Seeing Cecilia change the subject, Daryl followed her gaze to the bedside table, his eyes darkening even more.
He reached out and took the beautiful colorful box from the bedside table.
