Chapter 756 Chemistry

In the evening, Susan and Seb were dining at the revolving restaurant on the top floor of a five-star hotel in Ivory City.

Looking out from the floor-to-ceiling windows, the lights in the night were exceptionally brilliant, showcasing the city's bustling splendor right before their eyes.

Soft music floated through the restaurant, and there was a dance floor in the middle where diners could dance to add to the ambiance.

This was a place where many couples and spouses spent pleasant times together. It was said that reservations had to be made a month in advance, and Seb had naturally paid a premium for their spot.

Susan enjoyed the food while overlooking the night view outside.

After a long day, she was both hungry and tired.

"Hello?" Seb's voice was playfully laced with hurt. "Earth to Susan?"

Hearing this, Susan looked at Seb.

She saw him stretching his neck and looking at her with a face full of grievance.

Susan couldn't help but find it amusing, but she reached out and patted the back of his hand. "Can you be quiet? I'm enjoying the food and the night view."

"And what about the incredibly handsome man sitting across from you?" He sat up straighter, striking a pose he clearly thought was devastatingly charming.

"I can appreciate you anytime," she countered, her voice softening, "but this," she gestured to the panorama of lights, "this is special."

"Fine," he conceded, though a hint of disappointment lingered in his eyes. "But when we get back to the hotel, I get your undivided attention."

Seeing his disappointed look, Susan lowered her voice and patted his hand, saying, "Okay, when we get back to the hotel, clean yourself up well, and I'll appreciate every inch of you."

Hearing this, Seb grasped Susan's hand in his palm, his eyes full of teasing as he said, "I won't let you down."

Seeing his lecherous look, Susan glanced at the other diners and dancers and tried to pull her hand back.

But he held her hand tightly and wouldn't let go.

In the end, Susan had to plead, "Can you let go? I'm still eating."

"Remember what you just said, you can't go back on your word," Seb emphasized.

"I know." Susan smiled and took the opportunity to withdraw her hand.

At this moment, Seb's phone rang.

Seeing that he didn't answer, Susan reminded him, "Your phone is ringing."

"I just want to focus on being with you right now, I don't want to talk business," Seb smiled.

"It might be something urgent," Susan frowned, not wanting to delay his important matters because of her.

After a while, the phone kept ringing.

Seb frowned and finally answered it.

After a few words from the other end, Seb simply said, "Got it," then hung up the phone, his expression turning a bit serious.

After the call ended, Susan asked, "What's the matter?"

Seb looked at Susan and said, "The government offices will be closed for the holidays starting tomorrow, and Andrew will be detained until after the New Year for trial."

Hearing this, Susan said, "Government employees need to celebrate the New Year too."

"I just want to bring Andrew to justice as soon as possible and give an explanation for Rylee's death." Mentioning Rylee, Seb's brows furrowed.

Seeing his sadness, Susan comforted him, "The overall situation is already set, it's just a matter of a day or two, don't take it too hard."

"I understand," Seb said, but his face still didn't look good.

Seeing Seb still feeling down, Susan turned to look at the dance floor and then turned back to smile at Seb. "Do you feel like dancing with me?"

Hearing this, Seb's expression softened a bit. "Of course."

"But I'm not very good at dancing," Susan said nervously.

She wasn't good at dancing at all, only knowing the simplest steps. She watched the people dancing in the dance floor, and they were all dancing very well.

The next moment, Seb had already stood up, walked to Susan, and extended his hand to her politely.

Seeing his extremely gentlemanly manner, Susan smiled slightly, then placed her hand in his palm and followed his steps into the dance floor.

With her hand on his shoulder, Seb smiled and said, "Don't be nervous, just follow my steps."

"I'm afraid I'll step on your foot." Susan kept looking down at her steps, not daring to look up, afraid of really stepping on his foot.

"It's okay, you can step on it as you like," Seb said nonchalantly.

"I don't mind stepping on your foot, I'm just afraid others will laugh at me," Susan whispered in Seb's ear.

Hearing this, Seb lowered his head and whispered fiercely in her ear, "Whoever dares to laugh at you, I'll beat them up!"

Hearing this, Susan lowered her head and laughed.

Soon, Susan got familiar with the dance steps, as there were no fancy moves, just following the steps.

After a while, the lights on the dance floor dimmed, becoming soft and gentle.

Susan's arms wrapped around Seb's neck, and Seb's hands were on Susan's slender waist.

"Ivory City not only has good sunshine, but the night view is also so beautiful," Susan's voice was incredibly soft.

"I especially like it here because I have your company," Seb whispered in Susan's ear.

Hearing this, Susan hugged Seb, their bodies pressed together, but their dance steps continued.

"I wish we could stay in Ivory City forever," Susan sighed.

"If you like it, we can come here every year for the New Year," Seb smiled.

"We have to bring the kids," Susan reminded.

"Of course," Seb nodded.

"I miss Hayden and Spring so much," Susan suddenly thought of the kids.

Seb smiled and pinched her nose. "I've already asked Leon to get the visas. After the New Year, we'll go to Northstar City to visit them." Northstar City was a city in Aelistania.

"Really?" Hearing that she could see the kids soon, Susan was overjoyed.

"Of course it's true," Seb smiled, seeing her so happy.

"That's great, I want to fly to them right now," Susan said, already jumping up and down with excitement.

"In a few days, our family of four will be reunited. Now, shouldn't we enjoy our time together?" In the dim light, Seb's eyes were fixed on Susan.

"Sure," Susan nodded, then wrapped her arms tightly around Seb's neck.

He lowered his head, planting light kisses on her exposed neck.

Susan felt a tingling sensation but didn't push him away; instead, she tightened her arms even more.

Soon, the chemistry between him and her ignited, and it was so intense that it couldn't be suppressed.

"Shall we go back to the room?" After a while, Seb's hoarse voice sounded in her ear.
