Chapter 487 Absence Makes the Heart Grow Fonder
"It's too late to realize that. We got the marriage certificate, didn't we?" Seb chuckled.
"Well, I can still call off the whole thing," Susan shot back, still grinning, remembering they were in the middle of a photo shoot.
Seb wagged a finger in front of her face, then gently placed it on her lips, smiling. "Don't even think about it."
"You've been running your mouth a lot lately. You act all serious, but deep down, you're a total flirt," Susan teased.
"Say whatever you want, I don't care. Now, answer my question," Seb pressed on.
Susan's cheeks turned a shade of pink!
Seeing her blush, Seb leaned in and whispered in her ear, "You can't just pop birth control pills like candy. If we want kids later, it might be tough."
Susan immediately pushed him away, her voice rising, "I don't want to get pregnant right now!"
Her outburst was loud enough to catch the attention of the photographer and the assistant nearby, who looked a bit shocked.
Susan was momentarily stunned, and Seb pulled her back, whispering, "I'll handle this, don't worry."
Susan could only roll her eyes at him. Was this really the time to talk about this?
Just then, they heard children's voices calling out from a distance.
"Daddy, Mommy!" It was a little boy's voice.
"Daddy, Mommy!" A younger girl's voice echoed.
Susan turned to see Hayden holding Spring's hand, running towards them, with Mary and Leon following behind.
Seeing the kids, Susan exclaimed, "Why are they here?"
Seb grinned at the approaching children and replied, "How could we take wedding photos without them?"
"Yeah, our wedding photos will be the most special in Maple Valley," Susan said, covering her mouth with a smile as she thought about taking wedding photos with their kids.
Seb smiled, took Susan's hand, and walked towards the running children.
Seb bent down to pick up Spring, who was dressed in a lace princess dress, looking like a little princess.
Susan reached out to Hayden, who was wearing a black tuxedo, looking like a little prince with a striking red bow tie around his neck.
"Mommy, you look so beautiful today!" Hayden looked up at Susan and exclaimed.
Susan caressed Hayden's cheek and smiled. "Thank you, Hayden."
"Mommy, I want to marry a bride like you when I grow up," Hayden suddenly said.
Everyone present couldn't help but laugh at his words!
Susan whispered, "Just as unserious as you."
Seb naturally heard this and immediately responded, "Like father, like son."
"Shameless," Susan shot him a look.
As they bantered, the assistant approached with a smile. "Mr. Anderson, Mrs. Anderson, I didn't know you already had two children. Are you here to retake your wedding photos?"
At this point, Susan didn't know how to respond.
Seb quickly answered, "Yeah, we've been too busy and never got around to it."
Hearing this, Susan glanced at him, astonished at how calmly he could lie without even blushing or skipping a beat.
"I wanna take pictures too!" Spring clapped her hands, all excited in Seb's arms.
Seb looked down at her with a big ol' smile. "Alright, sweetie, we'll take pictures together."
So, Seb and Susan, along with Hayden and Spring, started snapping photos together. What was supposed to be wedding pics turned into a full-on family portrait session.
With the two little ones, the photo shoot dragged on until 8 PM. By then, everyone was starving, so they hit up KFC. By the time they got home, Spring was out cold in Susan's arms, and Hayden was barely keeping his eyes open.
After tucking Spring into bed, Susan felt a little tug on her hand. "Mommy, I want you to give me a bath!" Hayden pleaded.
Kathy walked over, smiling. "Hayden, your mommy's tired. How about I bath you?"
"No, I want Mommy to do it," Hayden insisted, shaking his little head.
Susan smiled and patted his head. "Alright."
She took Hayden's hand and headed to the bathroom. Seb leaned in and whispered, "I'll go take a shower upstairs. Don't take too long!"
Susan met his suggestive gaze and smiled slightly.
After bathing Hayden, getting him into clean pajamas, and tucking him in, Susan said goodnight and closed his bedroom door.
When she opened the door to the master bedroom, there was Seb, already in a bathrobe, waiting by the bed.
"Come here," Seb said, extending his hand.
Susan smiled and closed the door, but didn't move towards the bed. "Um... I'll take a shower first," she said, touching her hair, feeling the room's suggestive vibe.
Seb retracted his hand and winked. "Hurry up, I'll be waiting."
Susan glanced at him and quickly slipped into the bathroom. Seb's demeanor was so alluring. Why was she feeling so nervous after just a few days apart?
She scolded herself for being so hopeless. She was already a mom of two, why was she still so shy?
Over half an hour later, Susan dried her hair and walked out of the bathroom in a camisole nightgown.
Seeing her come out, Seb tossed the book he was holding onto the nightstand. "Come here, let me see if you've rubbed your skin raw."
"Huh?" Susan looked at him, confused.
Seeing her puzzled expression, he laughed. "You've been in there so long, I'm worried you might have rubbed your skin raw."
"You can't even wait that long?" Susan complained as she walked to the bedside.
Before she knew it, her wrist was grabbed, and she was pulled into his arms.
Caught off guard, she fell onto his chest and playfully hit him. "Can't you be gentler? It hurts."
"Let me see, where did you get hurt?" Seb's hand reached for the neckline of her camisole nightgown.
Susan immediately grabbed his wandering hand. "What are you doing?"
Seb's hand turned to hold hers, his gaze intense. "They say absence makes the heart grow fonder. Wanna test that theory tonight?"
