Chapter 1205 Collided

"You..." Cecilia, who was suddenly embraced, just started to speak.

Daryl lowered his head and kissed her softly.

When their lips touched, it was as if a spark had ignited gasoline, and a blazing fire erupted between the two who had been suppressing their feelings for so long.

She had been holding back for too long. Feeling his passion, she responded eagerly, matching his intensity.

He became even more fervent as if he wanted to swallow her whole, to keep her with him forever!

In the dim light, their entwined shadows were cast on the wall.

Cecilia felt like she was about to suffocate, but she continued to kiss him, wishing this moment could last forever, so they would never be apart.

Perhaps both of them had the same thought; stopping the kiss would mean they had to part, so they kissed for a long time.

The temperature in the room kept rising, and they both felt particularly hot.

He finally forcefully pushed her down onto the narrow sofa. Cecilia felt a chill on her shoulder and opened her eyes in alarm.

She saw a pair of intense eyes, filled with possessiveness, as if they wanted to fix her into his gaze.

Seeing those eyes, she immediately sobered up.

She then pushed him away, reaching to adjust the strap of her nightgown back into place, covering her skin.

He also came to his senses. He sat on the sofa, rubbing his face hard with his hands, and then apologized in a hoarse voice, "I'm sorry, I lost control."

Her face was already flushed. She lowered her head and said, "It's not your fault, I share the responsibility."

Daryl frowned and said, "Cecilia, we love each other and can't live without each other. Why do we have to torture ourselves like this?"

His words struck a chord with Cecilia. She remained silent for a long time before saying, "Daryl, if we were to be together, I would feel too guilty towards Barry. I can't repay kindness with betrayal. I hope you understand."

Daryl stared at her with a pained expression and said, "I understand, but does it have to be this way?"

Cecilia then furrowed her brows and said resolutely, "I hope today is the last time we meet. From now on, you should live well, take care of yourself, find someone who loves you, and forget about me."

As she said this, her eyes were already moist.

"Cecilia." Daryl was stunned for a moment, then called her name.

At this moment, the doorbell suddenly rang.

Daryl and Cecilia exchanged a glance.

Cecilia got up and walked to the door. She looked through the peephole and frowned.

Daryl walked over in confusion. Cecilia thought for a moment, then whispered, "It's Barry. You need to hide!"

Cecilia grabbed Daryl's hand and ran into the bedroom.

Cecilia looked around the small bedroom, finding no place to hide him.

In a moment of desperation, Cecilia saw the curtains and pushed Daryl behind them, instructing, "Hide here and don't come out!"

Daryl frowned deeply.

He felt like her secret lover, having to hide because her boyfriend had returned. It was a terrible feeling.

Seeing his displeased expression, Cecilia quickly reassured him, "I don't want any complications. Please bear with it!"

Daryl didn't want to upset Cecilia, so he obediently hid behind the curtains.

Then, Cecilia tidied her loose hair and nightgown before opening the door.

"Cecilia, you haven't gone to bed yet?" Barry stood at the door, holding a large shopping bag.

"Barry, why are you here?" Cecilia felt her lips trembling.

Why did she feel like she was caught by her boyfriend? It seemed that you really shouldn't do anything guilty; you must be upright and honest.

"We're going on a picnic this weekend, remember? I had some free time after my meeting today, so I bought everything we need and thought I'd drop by to see you." Barry smiled.

"Give it to me." Cecilia stepped forward to take one of the shopping bags from Barry.

After changing his shoes, Barry placed the items on the coffee table. Suddenly, he sniffed the air and frowned, "Has someone been here?"

Cecilia broke out in a cold sweat but still pretended to be calm, "No, why?"

"I smell tobacco," Barry said, looking around the room.

"Oh, right. When I got off work, someone from the gas company came to check the gas safety. One of them was smoking; maybe that's the smell." Cecilia quickly opened the window, letting the cold air in.

As the cold wind blew in, she, wearing a thin nightgown, shivered.

He frowned, took a coat from the rack, and draped it over Cecilia's shoulders. "It's cold outside. Be careful not to catch a cold."

"I know, thank you." Cecilia smiled slightly and then sneezed.

He quickly closed the window.

Hiding behind the curtains, Daryl saw this through a gap and clenched his fists.

"It's late. You should go to bed. You have work tomorrow." Cecilia, feeling very anxious, hoped Barry would leave soon.

However, Barry turned and sat on the sofa where Cecilia and Daryl had just been, crossing his legs. "I want a cup of coffee before I go. I miss talking to you."

Barry took Cecilia's hand.

She was in a dilemma, glancing towards the bedroom. "I'll make you some coffee."

"Sure." Barry looked up and smiled at Cecilia.

Cecilia turned and went to the kitchen. After putting the kettle on the stove, she took a cup and glanced outside the kitchen, feeling very anxious. She needed to get Barry to leave quickly. If Barry saw Daryl, things could get dangerous!

She had just opened a packet of instant coffee when Barry walked in and wrapped his arms around her waist from behind.

Cecilia shivered!
