Chapter 894 Pregnant

When Susan's words hit Ellie's ears, she lost it and snapped, "Susan, get over yourself. What makes you think Seb is yours?"

Susan, knowing there was no point in arguing with Ellie, shot back, "Well, all your scheming was for nothing. You lost what you stole and what was yours to begin with! Plus, you betrayed Seb by teaming up with Evergreen Ventures Group to screw him over. You're the disloyal one here. What right do you have to point fingers?"

Ellie was left speechless, her anger deflating. "I'm here to see Seb. I don't have time for you!" she spat, storming past Susan and pushing open the CEO's office door.

Susan frowned but knew Seb and Ellie needed to hash things out.

Seb had mentioned Ellie was still living in that villa and hadn't been kicked out. She seemed pretty comfortable there.

Seb looked up, saw Ellie barging in, and then glanced at Susan standing at the door, frowning slightly.

"Seb, I need to talk to you." Ellie's arrogance faded as she approached his desk, her voice tinged with desperation.

Seb's face was grim. "I have nothing to say to you."

"Seb." Ellie's eyes welled up with tears at his coldness.

Seb ignored her tears and said icily, "You teamed up with Evergreen Ventures Group, betrayed Prosperity Group, and deceived me. Ellie, because you've worked here for years and took care of me when I was hurt, I won't press charges. But I never want to see you again. Disappear from my life, or face the consequences."

His words were like a slap in the face, freezing her to the core.

Ellie stepped back, tears streaming down her face. After a long pause, she asked, "Seb, do you really feel nothing for me? Didn't you care for me at all? We were happy for those three months."

Seb suddenly stood up, his voice full of accusation. "Everything about you was a lie, built on deceit. From the start, it was all fake. What real feelings are you talking about? It's all self-deception. Even when I forgot about Susan, I didn't fall for you because the one who could attract me was always Susan, even if I didn't know it at the time."

His words hit Ellie like a ton of bricks. She sobbed, "Seb, I've loved you since the first time I saw you at Prosperity Group. I've spent eight years of my life on you, never had a boyfriend, just hoping you'd like me one day! Yes, I teamed up with Evergreen Ventures Group, but it was only to be with you. I didn't want your money and tried not to harm Prosperity Group. I just wanted to be with you forever. I took care of you when you were hurt. I would've sacrificed everything for you. But in the end, you have no pity for me at all. Aren't you being too heartless?"

Seb, fed up with Ellie's drama, sneered, "Ellie, your so-called love is suffocating. I can't deal with it. Get out, I don't want to see you again!"

He turned away, refusing to look at her anymore.

Susan, watching the whole scene, felt a mix of relief and pity. Sure, she was glad Seb was shutting Ellie down, but she couldn't help but feel a bit sorry for her. Still, Ellie had brought this on herself.

Realizing Seb wasn't budging, Ellie let out a cold laugh and dropped a bombshell, "I'm pregnant!"

Seb froze.

Susan was equally stunned.

Ellie lifted her chin, declaring, "It's your kid."

Seb's eyes snapped back to Ellie, his brows knitting together.

Susan couldn't stay silent any longer. She stepped forward, her voice urgent, "Ellie, give it up. Clinging with Seb will only humiliate you!"

Susan didn't buy Ellie's story for a second, thinking it was just another ploy to trap Seb.

But Ellie just smirked at Susan. "I know you won't believe me. But I can prove it!"

She pulled a diagnosis certificate from her bag and tossed it onto the desk.

"This is from the biggest hospital in Maple Valley. I'm six weeks pregnant. If you don't believe me, we can go there right now and get it checked again!" Ellie said, full of confidence.

Susan's heart sank.

She grabbed the certificate and scanned it quickly. Sure enough, it confirmed Ellie's pregnancy.

The paper felt like a lead weight in her hand.

Susan had been uncomfortable with Seb and Ellie's relationship, but she knew Seb had been in a tough spot and didn't blame him. She thought everything was finally over and Ellie would be out of their lives. But this pregnancy news was a shocker.

She looked up and met Seb's intense gaze.

His eyes were deep, his brows furrowed, and Susan could see the turmoil in them.

Seb had once told her that despite being with Ellie for months, they never slept together. It seemed that was just to reassure her. If they hadn't been intimate, how could Ellie be pregnant?

Seeing Susan's distressed look, Ellie felt a surge of triumph. She wanted to see Susan hurt, knowing Seb could never love her.

After a long silence, Seb finally spoke, "I never slept with you. Claiming this kid is mine is absurd."

Ellie, clearly prepared for this, shot back confidently, "Did you forget? Over a month ago, you got drunk and woke up in my bed."
