Chapter 664 Come to My Office
When Isabella took out those clothes with barely any fabric from the package, her eyes nearly popped out!
"What did you buy sexy lingerie for?" Isabella asked after a moment of shock.
By this time, Susan had already locked the office door. If anyone else came in, she would be too embarrassed to face them.
"I saw them online and thought they looked nice, so I bought a few sets," Susan replied nonchalantly.
But Isabella felt something was off. "No way, you definitely didn't buy these just for fun."
"I thought you might need them, so why don't I give them to you?" Susan quickly deflected.
"Give them to me?" Isabella, as if burned, quickly stuffed the lingerie back into the box and said, "I don't need these, you keep them for yourself!"
"Fine, but don't say I never offer you nice things." Susan said, quickly taking the lingerie out of the box, rolling them up, and stuffing them into her bag. Fortunately, the lingerie didn't take up much space.
At this moment, Isabella suddenly had an epiphany and grabbed Susan's hand. "You didn't buy these for yourself, did you?"
"What do you mean?" Susan frowned, a bit puzzled.
Isabella glanced at the locked door and whispered in Susan's ear, "Are you so unsatisfied without a man that you bought these for self-pleasure?"
Hearing Isabella's words, Susan's face blushed!
The next moment, Susan pushed Isabella. "You're overthinking it!"
"But it would explain the lingerie..." Isabella mused, a sly grin spreading across her face.
In the end, Susan had no choice but to vaguely say, "Things with Seb... they're looking up. I thought I might need these, you know, just in case."
"Really?" Isabella asked, overjoyed.
"Really," Susan rolled her eyes at Isabella.
"If you and Seb can reconcile, that would be great. You won't have to worry about the kids every day. These are a good buy. I think you should get a few more. If you don't have time, I can help you buy them online!" Isabella said with a smile.
"These are enough. If you want to buy more, keep them for yourself," Susan said, quickly moving to her desk to work, not wanting to discuss this embarrassing topic any further.
"Leon doesn't like these," Isabella laughed and then left Susan's office.
Only then did Susan lift her head, thinking, 'Wait, what did she mean? Could it be that Seb likes these?'
Despite all the preparation, when it came time to take action, Susan hesitated.
She procrastinated until the end of the workday before finally dialing Seb's number.
The phone rang seven or eight times before Seb answered.
"Are you ready?" As soon as the call connected, Seb's deep, pleasant voice came through, but it was clearly tinged with disdain.
Susan took a deep breath, feeling her heart race, but still pretended to be calm. "When do you have time?"
Seb hesitated for a moment before saying, "Come to my office at 9 AM tomorrow."
Hearing this, Susan immediately frowned.
What a joke? Go to his office? At 9 AM? Susan couldn't help but wonder if Seb wanted to talk or sleep with her.
"Um, you..." Susan started to speak.
Seb interrupted her, "I've been very busy lately. If you have a problem, I don't mind seeing you in ten days."
"No, I don't have a problem," Susan quickly said.
She wanted to see the kids tomorrow and didn't want to wait another ten days.
"See you tomorrow then," Seb said and hung up.
The moment the call ended, Susan thought she heard a cold laugh, and her heart ached.
Susan had thought Seb would arrange to meet tonight, but he scheduled it for 9 AM tomorrow, and the location was his office.
Susan didn't know if he was really busy or had other plans, but she knew the decision wasn't in her hands. Everything depended on Seb's decision, and she had no choice but to comply.
That night, Susan tossed and turned, unable to sleep.
The next morning, when Susan looked in the mirror, she saw dark circles under her eyes.
'A woman over thirty means aging, especially an unhappy woman ages faster.' Susan thought. She had read this in a book before and didn't believe it, but now she truly understood.
That day, Susan dressed very sexily: tight black pants, black high heels, a sky-blue camisole, and a beige trench coat to cover her outfit in public.
Of course, Susan didn't forget to put on heavy, seductive makeup, styled her hair in big curls, and wore large hoop earrings. She looked sexy and enchanting, completely different from her usual self.
Susan stood in front of the mirror, staring at herself for a full thirty seconds. She almost didn't recognize herself and wondered if Seb would be satisfied with this look.
After everything was ready, Susan left home with a large shoulder bag.
Rushing all the way, Susan finally arrived at Seb's office at one minute to nine.
From a distance, Susan saw a crowd of people in front of Seb's office.
Most of them were men, with a few women, and almost everyone was holding documents. Susan recognized some of them as executives from Prosperity Group.
The executives were taken aback when they suddenly saw Susan!
Because Susan's current appearance was drastically different from usual, and those in the know whispered, "Didn't Mr. Anderson and Mrs. Anderson get divorced? Why is his ex-wife here? And dressed like this?"
Susan glanced at them and calmly walked to Ellie's desk.
Ellie saw Susan, was momentarily stunned, then smiled and said, "Ms. Wilson, your appointment with Mr. Anderson is at nine. You can go in now."
"Okay," Susan nodded, then glanced at the crowd behind her.
