Chapter 648 Fury
Rylee walked straight to Seb's office with a serious expression.
At the door, Ellie saw Rylee coming and noticed her bad mood, so she stood up and smiled. "Ms. Anderson, Mr. Anderson is..."
Rylee ignored Ellie completely and pushed open the office door!
"Rylee? What are you doing here?" Seb, who was working at his desk, was taken aback when he saw Rylee.
Rylee sat down directly opposite Seb's desk, silently took the diary out of her bag, and placed it in front of Seb. "Seb, take a look at this!"
Seb glanced at the notebook in front of him, frowned, and then smiled. "What made you so upset?"
"Read it first," Rylee said, feeling exhausted, rubbing her face with her hands.
Seeing Rylee's complex expression, Seb opened the notebook in front of him.
The more he read, the worse Seb's expression became. He was shocked, stunned, and then turned angry and sad.
About twenty minutes later, Seb couldn't help but light a cigarette, taking a few deep puffs to control the overwhelming emotions inside him.
Glancing at Seb's expression, Rylee, who was sitting in the chair, looked out at the sunset through the floor-to-ceiling window with a cold smile. "Are you surprised too? I still feel like I'm in a nightmare."
"How did you find this notebook?" Seb stood up and walked to the floor-to-ceiling window, his fingers trembling with the cigarette.
"Andrew's mother fell and got hurt, so I went to visit them. I found it in Andrew's room by accident. He even tried to stop me just now; it seems he's scared. If they didn't have a conspiracy, why would he be afraid? Seb, Andrew and Susan planned this all along. The diary makes it clear that they had a great relationship. Why did one marry me and the other quickly get involved with you? Think about what's happened to our family these past few years. Dad was seduced by Susan's mom, and Mom died mysteriously. It's all their conspiracy. One married you, and the other married me to seize our Anderson Family's assets!" Rylee shouted angrily.
At this moment, Seb smoked furiously, finishing one cigarette and lighting another, remaining silent but with a chillingly cold look in his eyes.
Seeing no reaction from him, Rylee anxiously grabbed the cigarette from Seb's fingers, extinguished it in the ashtray, and shook his arm, saying, "Seb, we can't let their plan succeed. If they get the Anderson Family's assets, they might kill us, and then they can be together forever! Seb, you don't believe me, do you? This diary can't be fake. You can't still be infatuated with Susan, can you? She's cunning and evil, willing to do anything for money. Don't let her fool you anymore!"
The next moment, Seb reached out and held Rylee's shoulder, saying, "Rylee, leave this to me. Don't go home; stay at my villa. I'll have people protect you 24/7."
"What are you going to do about Susan?" Rylee asked, worried.
Seb frowned and said, "I'll handle this myself."
"But..." Rylee wanted to say more.
Seb interrupted her coldly, "Rylee, listen to me. Let Leon take you back. You need to rest!"
Rylee's eyes were swollen and her mental state was not well. Seb's eyes fixed on her, his concern evident in his expression.
Hearing this, Rylee knew Seb was a decisive person and didn't need her reminders for many things.
So, the next moment, Rylee stepped forward and hugged Seb.
Seb couldn't help but frown.
Rylee whispered, "Seb, don't be too sad. She's not worth it!"
"Neither are you," Seb said, looking down at Rylee.
"Okay," Rylee nodded.
At this moment, Seb patted Rylee's shoulder, saying, "You're stronger than I thought. Andrew has been causing trouble all along, getting bolder. I didn't tell you or take action against him because I thought you were too fragile to handle it. I guess I underestimated you."
Hearing this, Rylee frowned. "What else can I do but be strong? It's just me, but I don't want our whole family to be ruined by them."
Seb pressed his lips together and then patted Rylee's shoulder. "Don't worry, as long as I'm here, I won't let anyone bully you."
"Okay," Rylee nodded with tears in her eyes, then left the office under Seb's watchful gaze.
After Rylee left, Seb could no longer control his emotions. He swept everything off his desk—lamp, phone, pen holder—onto the floor!
The mess hit the ground with a dull thud, leaving chaos everywhere.
"Mr. Anderson, what happened?" The next moment, the office door opened, and Ellie, seeing the scene, asked in shock.
"Who let you in?" Seb yelled at Ellie, hands on his hips, full of anger.
"Sorry," Ellie, never having seen Seb like an enraged lion, felt a chill down her spine and was about to leave.
"Come back!" Seb called out.
"Mr. Anderson?" Ellie looked at Seb in fear.
"Get Leon to see me immediately!" Seb shouted.
"Yes," Ellie responded and quickly left.
After the door closed, Seb paced around the office several times, his eyes falling on the notebook on the desk, still unable to accept the reality.
Not long after, two knocks on the door brought Seb out of his painful emotions.
"Come in!" Seb shouted from the floor-to-ceiling window.
Leon pushed the door open and saw the mess on the floor, then looked up to see Seb's cold and stiff face.
"Mr. Anderson, I've arranged for two security guards to protect Ms. Anderson at all times," Leon said.
Seb nodded and then instructed, "Immediately investigate who Susan was dating from six to nine years ago."
"What?" Leon was stunned by such an out-of-the-blue request.
"Didn't you hear me?" Seb snapped.
"Yes, I'll investigate right away," Leon replied hastily before leaving.
