"Mom, trust me, I can definitely handle this properly." Daryl assured Azalea confidently.
Hearing this, Azalea finally nodded but then stared at Daryl and warned, "Daryl, I'm telling you in advance, if you have another woman outside and that's why you won't marry Skylar, I won't let any woman other than Skylar into the Fields Family!"
Upon hearing this, Daryl hesitated for a moment, then immediately said, "Yes, Mom."
Only then did Azalea feel relieved and turned to go to her room.
After Azalea left, Daryl turned and went upstairs.
Sitting wearily at the bedside, he rubbed his face hard with both hands.
At this moment, the door was pushed open.
Daryl looked up to see Elijah walking in.
"Is Dad okay?" Daryl immediately asked.
"Mom is talking with Dad, I think he's fine," Elijah replied.
"That's good." Hearing this, Daryl finally breathed a sigh of relief.
Then, Elijah stared at Daryl and smiled. "Daryl, do you have someone you like?"
Hearing this, Daryl was stunned, then made a shushing gesture in front of his mouth, signaling him not to talk nonsense.
Seeing Daryl's expression, Elijah, as if discovering a new continent, immediately stepped forward and asked in a low voice, "Who is it that you like? To make you do such an earth-shattering thing."
"You'll get to meet her someday, but you must keep it a secret for now. She can't show up, or she'll definitely become a target!" Daryl warned Elijah seriously.
"Get it." Elijah smiled and nodded.
Early the next morning, Daryl personally went to the Tate Family to apologize.
Azalea and Isaac were afraid the Tate Family would make things difficult for Daryl, so they had Elijah accompany him.
As expected, the Tate Family was so furious at Daryl that they even wanted to kill him.
Although the Tates cursed harshly and even wanted to hit Daryl, he endured it all and apologized sincerely. However, continuing the marriage was absolutely impossible, which made the Tates very angry. When Daryl faced Skylar again, his guilt was evident, but he couldn't comfort her.
"Daryl, no matter what, I will wait for you to change your mind," Skylar said to Daryl with unwavering affection.
Hearing this, Daryl said guiltily, "Skylar, I'm not worth it. You're the best girl and deserve someone better to treat you well!"
Upon hearing this, Skylar's eyes filled with tears, but she still firmly said, "No matter what you say, my feelings for you won't change!"
After saying this, Skylar turned and ran upstairs in grief.
As expected, Skylar's parents scolded Daryl harshly and then kicked them out of the Tate Mansion.
After leaving the Tate Mansion, Elijah frowned and said, "Daryl, I told you not to come. I could have apologized for you, but you didn't listen. Now look, your face is swollen from the beating!"
Elijah said this while reaching out to touch Daryl's face with concern.
Daryl pushed Elijah's hand away and said calmly, "If they didn't beat and scold me, their anger would have nowhere to go. This way, I can feel a bit less guilty, and they vented some of their anger. It's a win-win."
"You're quite carefree," Elijah said.
"Alright, you go back and stay with Mom and Dad. I'm going to work." Daryl patted Elijah's shoulder.
After Daryl left, Skylar cried and made a fuss for a while, then sat silently by the bed.
Charlotte walked in, saw Skylar like this, and felt heartbroken. She said, "Skylar, that Daryl isn't that great. You have so many suitors lining up. Let's not think about him anymore. Your dad will definitely cause trouble for the Fields Group to vent your anger."
But Skylar said, "Mom, I won't give up. I must have Daryl!"
"Why are you so stubborn? What's so good about Daryl? Didn't you say he has a woman outside who's pregnant? He's definitely backing out of the marriage because of her. Even if you marry him, you won't have a good life!" Charlotte tried to persuade her.
But Skylar irritably said, "Mom, please stop talking. I just want to marry Daryl in this lifetime. He will eventually see my worth. I treat him so well and can give everything for him. He will change his mind."
Sensing Skylar's stubbornness, Charlotte felt even more heartbroken and said, "If that's the case, then let's go all the way."
Hearing this, Skylar stared at Charlotte and asked, "Mom, you mean..."
"That woman must be threatening Daryl because she's pregnant," Charlotte said.
Upon hearing this, Skylar hesitated for a moment and then said, "I didn't want to harm her before because I was afraid of hurting Daryl's feelings and ruining our wedding. But now that she's already ruined my wedding, I have no reason to be merciful!"
"Don't worry, I'll arrange for someone to handle it," Charlotte said, sensing Skylar's determination.

"Alright then." Hearing this, Charlotte patted Skylar's shoulder in support.
Skylar hugged a soft pillow, her hands squeezing it out of shape.
For several days, Cecilia hadn't seen Daryl.

In the following days, Cecilia went to work and came home on time, exercised appropriately every day, and her belly grew a bit bigger, with more fetal movements.
When Cecilia was nearly five months pregnant, she had developed a deep bond with her baby.
