Chapter 1033 Showing Affection

As soon as Seb walked in, Susan greeted him with a beaming smile.

"Why are you back so late?" Susan's joyful eyes carried a hint of playful complaint.

Seeing Susan, Seb reached out and held her shoulders, his eyes showing clear signs of fatigue.

"Missed me?" Seb's eyes were now only focused on Susan.

"Who missed you? You didn't even call for so many days. Do you know how worried I was?" Susan's eyes turned red as she spoke.

Seeing Susan's worried look, Seb quickly comforted her, "I'm back now, aren't I? And this time, everything went very smoothly. I'll make more time to be with you later."

"You better keep your word," Susan reminded him to promise.

"When have I ever broken a promise?" Seb smiled, his eyes full of affection.

At this moment, Isabella, standing by the couch, felt a pang of jealousy seeing Susan and Seb being so affectionate.

She glanced towards the entrance but didn't see anyone else coming in.

She couldn't help but think, 'Where is he? Didn't he come back with Seb?'

At this moment, Isabella felt a deep sense of disappointment, and she actually looked forward to seeing Leon.

However, she forced herself not to think of Leon, because she was still angry and wouldn't forgive him.

Just then, two kids came rushing down the stairs, shouting, "Is Daddy back? Daddy!"

The next moment, Hayden and Spring ran towards Seb.

Seeing them, Seb squatted down and extended his arms, embracing them both.

"It's me, I'm back!" Seb hugged them, kissing each of their foreheads, his eyes full of love.

"Daddy, where have you been all these days?" Hayden asked, looking up.

"I've been busy at work," Seb replied.

At this moment, Spring suddenly said, "Daddy, do you have a young and pretty secretary, is that why you didn't come home?"

Hearing this, Seb was stunned, while Susan covered her mouth and laughed.

Seb glanced at Susan and then frowned, asking, "Did you teach Spring to say that?"

Susan mischievously smiled and said, "No, don't blame the wrong person!"

At this moment, Spring raised her little face and seriously said, "That's what they show on TV. Mom was watching that show yesterday."

Hearing this, Seb couldn't help but laugh, but he still kept a straight face and sternly said to Spring, "You are not allowed to watch such shows that mislead kids anymore, understand?"

Hearing Seb's criticism, Spring pouted and lowered her head.

At this moment, Hayden said, "Daddy, you should tell the TV station not to air such shows that mislead kids!"

Hearing this, everyone couldn't help but laugh.

Seb then stood up and said, "Alright, go play now!"

Hearing this, Hayden and Spring ran off.

Seeing Susan and Seb's happy family, Isabella walked over to Kathy and took Milo in her arms.

Susan then noticed the lonely Isabella and couldn't help but ask Seb, "Why did you come back alone? Where's Leon?"

Hearing this, Seb curiously looked around and indeed didn't see Leon.

"He came back with me, he must be too shy to come in," Seb said as he turned and walked to the entrance.

"Hey, you're a grown man, what are you shy about? Come in, Milo is waiting for you!" Seb's voice came from the entrance, making Isabella's heart skip a beat.

So Leon was just outside, but didn't come in.

The next moment, Seb appeared in the living room, followed by Leon.

When Isabella saw Leon for the first time, her heart was filled with mixed emotions.

When his eyes met hers, Isabella immediately lowered her head, avoiding his gaze.

Isabella stood there, her legs feeling like they were filled with lead, unable to move. Milo's chubby little hands kept touching her face, but she didn't react at all.

Seeing Leon still standing there, Susan couldn't help but tug at his sleeve.

Leon understood and was about to walk towards Isabella.

But Isabella, holding Milo, walked towards the bedroom, saying, "Milo is sleepy, I'll put him to bed."

Hearing this, Leon stopped in his tracks.

Seeing this, Susan was anxious.

The next moment, Susan stepped forward to block Isabella's way and whispered, "Can't you give him some face? You haven't seen each other for so many days, you should talk."

"I have nothing to say to him," Isabella said coldly.

"You might have nothing to say, but he has." The next moment, Susan took Milo from Isabella's arms without giving her a chance to refuse.

"Milo is really sleepy." Isabella tried to take Milo back.

But it was too late, Susan was already holding Milo. "I'll put Milo to bed."

With that, Susan took Milo upstairs, not forgetting to give Leon a look as she went.

Isabella watched helplessly as Susan took Milo upstairs. She had no choice but to walk into her bedroom.

At this moment, Leon quickly followed Isabella.

Of course, Seb, Kathy, and the others tactfully left, pretending not to see anything.

Seb eagerly went upstairs to Susan, and Kathy, seeing this, also followed upstairs.

Isabella entered the bedroom and turned to close the door, only to see Leon pushing the door open.

Seeing him, Isabella frowned and tried to close the door to keep him out.

But Leon, in a hurry, pushed the door open with his arm, causing Isabella to stumble.

Seeing this, Leon walked in and grabbed Isabella's arm, asking nervously, "Are you okay?"

When his warm hand touched hers, Isabella shivered and quickly shook off his hand, saying coldly, "I don't need your concern!"

Sensing Isabella still angry, Leon pursed his lips, closed the door, and locked it.

Hearing the door lock, Isabella took a step back in panic and asked, "Why are you locking the door?"

Sensing her nervousness, Leon quickly explained, "I just want to talk to you properly. I'm afraid you'll run away."

Hearing this, Isabella said expressionlessly, "I have nothing to talk about with you."

"But I feel like we have a lot to talk about," Leon said seriously, his eyes fixed on Isabella.
