Chapter 1333 Give My Child Back to Me
Just then, a commotion erupted outside!
"Mr. Elijah Fields, you can't go in there!" Two bodyguards stepped in front of Elijah, blocking his path.
"Move!" Elijah's eyes blazed with anger as he glared at the bodyguards.
"Mr. Elijah Fields, Mr. Daryl Fields instructed us not to let you in," the bodyguards said, clearly uncomfortable.
Elijah shoved them aside and stormed into the hospital room.
"Mr. Elijah Fields," the bodyguards muttered, exchanging worried glances but staying outside.
Cecilia's face lit up with joy when she saw Elijah. "Elijah?"
"Cecilia, are you okay? Why are you in the hospital?" Elijah asked, his eyes filled with concern as he looked her over.
"I'm fine. But Daryl found out about Thaddeus. Has he found him yet?" Cecilia asked quickly, trying to avoid discussing her own condition.
Elijah's expression turned serious. "Thaddeus is already at the Fields Mansion."
"What? Thaddeus is at the Fields Mansion?" Cecilia's face went pale with worry.
If Thaddeus was at the Fields Mansion, neither Daryl nor Azalea would let her have him back.
"Daryl handed Freya and Thaddeus over to Mom. I can tell she really likes Thaddeus, but she doesn't know who he really is yet," Elijah explained.
Cecilia thought for a moment, then grabbed Elijah's arm, pleading, "Elijah, you have to help me get Thaddeus back. I can't lose him!"
Tears welled up in Cecilia's eyes at the thought of Daryl taking Thaddeus away.
Seeing her cry, Elijah felt helpless. "Don't cry. I'll figure something out."
Cecilia sat down on the edge of the bed, despair in her voice. "What can you do? Daryl must have planned everything. He won't let you take Thaddeus."
Elijah frowned, knowing she was right. Daryl was meticulous. If he had brought Thaddeus to the Fields Mansion, he would have made sure Elijah couldn't take him away.
Elijah looked at Cecilia and said, "We might have to tell Daryl the truth about Thaddeus."
Cecilia's tear-filled eyes met Elijah's, and she shook her head. "If we tell him, he'll fight me for custody."
"But Daryl is determined to keep Thaddeus. If we explain everything, he might understand what you've been through and realize you never betrayed him. Daryl is a man of honor, even if he's been misled," Elijah reasoned.
"Understand? I don't need his understanding. Do you think I want to get back together with him? That's impossible. Besides, he already has someone else," Cecilia said firmly.
"But if you don't, you might never see Thaddeus again," Elijah warned.
Cecilia thought for a moment, then stood up resolutely. "Thaddeus is my son. Even if I divorce Daryl, the court will grant me custody because he's so young. Elijah, take me to the Fields Mansion. I need to talk to Mom and take Thaddeus back."
"Alright," Elijah agreed.
Cecilia changed out of her hospital gown, and they left together. The bodyguards tried to stop them, but with Elijah there, they didn't dare do much.
When Cecilia entered the Fields Mansion with Elijah, the servants immediately took notice. She hadn't been there for a year and a half, and they were curious about where she had been.
"Mrs. Cecilia Fields?" Finn was shocked to see her.
Azalea, who was playing with Thaddeus on the couch, looked up at Finn's words. She was momentarily stunned but quickly put on a haughty expression. "The Fields family has no place for her anymore."
Finn quickly fell silent.
Cecilia's eyes were fixed on Thaddeus. When he saw her, he started waving his little hands and babbling, "Mommy! Mommy!"
Azalea didn't catch what Thaddeus said, but she saw his reaction. She smiled down at him. "Thaddeus, it's okay. Don't be scared. It's just an uninvited guest."
Azalea's attitude towards Cecilia was cold and mocking, but she was warm and loving towards Thaddeus, a stark contrast.
Cecilia couldn't hold back any longer. She stepped forward to take Thaddeus. "Thaddeus!"
Azalea quickly scooped Thaddeus up and handed him to Finn. "What do you think you're doing?" she demanded, pointing at Cecilia.
Cecilia maintained her composure. "I'm here to take Thaddeus."
"You're almost divorced from Daryl. You're not part of the Fields family anymore. What are you doing here?" Azalea sneered, then suddenly realized what Cecilia had said. "Take Thaddeus? That's ridiculous. What does he have to do with you?"
Elijah stepped forward. "Mom, Thaddeus is Cecilia's son."
Azalea's eyes shifted from Elijah to Cecilia, then she laughed coldly. "She can have children? And a child as adorable as Thaddeus? Are you kidding me? I don't believe it."
Cecilia was unfazed by Azalea's sarcasm. She no longer cared about pleasing her. "I'm sorry to disappoint you, but Thaddeus is my son. I'm here to take him back. Please give him to me," she said firmly.
"Mommy! Mommy!" Thaddeus reached out for Cecilia from Finn's arms, calling for her.
Azalea glanced at Thaddeus, her heart skipping a beat as she realized what he was saying. She frowned.
"You say Thaddeus is your son, but where's the proof? The doctors said you could never have children," Azalea retorted, trying to argue.
