Chapter 747 Too Energetic

At this moment, the receptionist was already confused, staring blankly at the two men and two women in front of her.

Seeing this, Leon took a step back and whispered to Isabella, "What are you doing?"

Isabella, however, raised her chin and said, "I'm not married to you yet, so of course, I can't share a room with you."

This reason left Leon speechless.

Seb's gaze fell on Susan. Susan thought to herself, 'We're already divorced, so naturally, I can't share a room with you either.'

Of course, this was just what Susan thought in her mind and didn't actually say out loud because Seb's expression didn't look very good at the moment.

At this point, the receptionist smiled and said, "Sir, I'm sorry, the hotel is fully booked during the New Year period. You only reserved two suites in advance, and we don't have any other rooms available now."

Hearing this, Seb and Leon's expressions subtly changed.

Susan frowned, while Isabella looked very resentful.

"Then let's just take these two suites," Leon said at this moment.

"Alright." The receptionist quickly completed the check-in procedures and placed two room cards on the counter.

"Sir, here are your room cards."

"Thank you," Leon said, reaching out to take the room cards and handing one to Seb.

At this moment, Isabella stepped forward, snatched the other room card from Leon's hand, and smiled, saying, "A suite is great. I'll sleep on the bed, and you can sleep on the couch!"

"You..." Before Leon could say anything, Isabella turned and walked away.

Seeing these two bickering, Susan smirked. She thought, 'This is actually a good idea.'

Soon, Seb opened the door to the suite.

Susan stepped into the room with its dark green carpet. She had to admit, the Hilton Hotel's quality was excellent. The living room's couch was wide and large, the room was spacious, and the huge floor-to-ceiling windows offered a panoramic view of Ivory City. The white curtains fluttered in the breeze.

While Seb was taking off his suit, Susan carried the clothes she had just bought into the bedroom.

As soon as Susan changed into slippers, Seb, wearing a white shirt, walked in.

Susan looked up and saw him unbuttoning his shirt.

"Maybe we should do what Leon and Isabella are doing," Susan blurted out, her cheeks blushing.

She spoke so tactfully that Seb didn't understand what she meant, his deep eyes questioning as he stared at Susan.

Not knowing if he was pretending or genuinely clueless, Susan had to be blunt, "I'll sleep on the bed, and you sleep on the couch."

Hearing this, Seb frowned and then walked straight to the bed.

Seeing this, Susan immediately crossed her arms and stammered, "Did you forget? You swore to me a few days ago that you wouldn't force me if I wasn't willing..."

Before Susan could finish, she saw Seb bend down and grab a quilt and pillow from the bed.

Susan stared at him in a daze, then immediately fell silent, thinking, 'He wasn't planning to sleep here with me; he was just getting the quilt and pillow.'

For a moment, Susan felt really awkward.

At this point, Seb, with the quilt and pillow under his arm, looked down at Susan sitting on the bed and said, "No need to remind me. I will always remember the vows I made. We've been up all night; let's catch up on sleep. We can skip lunch and wake up for dinner."

With that, Seb walked out of the bedroom with the quilt and pillow.

After the bedroom door closed, Susan frustratedly ran her hands through her hair.

Although she felt a bit annoyed, she hadn't slept all night. Once she lay on the comfortable bed, she quickly fell into a deep sleep.

She slept for a long, long time, feeling completely refreshed.

Much later, Susan vaguely heard someone talking and opened her sleepy eyes.

Looking outside, she saw that the light was already dim, and the sun was about to set.

She had actually slept until it was almost dark.

Stretching lazily, Susan got out of bed.

At this moment, she heard Seb's deep, pleasant voice outside the bedroom door.

Barefoot, Susan stepped on the soft carpet, feeling particularly comfortable.

She gently pushed open the door and saw Seb, dressed in a white shirt, sitting at the desk, talking on the phone while working.

Running her fingers through her hair, Susan couldn't help but admire, 'He really is a hard worker. It looks like he's been working for a long time. I wonder if he's had enough sleep?'

"As I mentioned, the project proposal needs work. There are too many gaps in the details. Revise it and send it to me after the New Year break. And make sure the annual meeting goes off without a hitch. The year-end bonuses need to be distributed on time..."

Hearing Seb meticulously arranging work, Susan felt a wave of emotion.

The end of the year was indeed Seb's busiest time. In previous years, he would have a packed schedule during these days. This year, because of one word from her, he had dropped everything to accompany her to Ivory City for the New Year. It wasn't easy for him.

Seb spoke for a long time before hanging up the phone. When he looked up and saw Susan standing in the bedroom doorway in her pajamas, he was momentarily stunned.

"Sorry, did I wake you?" Seb immediately stood up, walked around the desk, and approached Susan.

"No, I slept long enough. I woke up naturally," Susan quickly said.

As he got closer, Susan looked up at him, feeling a sense of pressure and nervousness, and instinctively brought her feet together.

At this moment, Seb looked down and saw her bare feet, his eyes showing a special glint.

Her feet were chubby, with her big toenails painted pink, making them look even cuter.

Seeing him staring at her feet, Susan's face instantly blushed.

"Did you start working early?" Susan quickly tried to make conversation, feeling the atmosphere was a bit stifling.

Susan's words successfully diverted Seb's gaze to his watch. "I've been working for three hours."

"Ah? No wonder you can manage Prosperity Group so well. You really have a lot of energy!" Susan said with a smile.

Hearing this, Seb frowned slightly. "I am indeed too energetic, but right now I can only put it all into work."

"Ah?" Susan couldn't help but open her mouth in surprise.
