Chapter 686 Conditions

Rylee's crying made Andrew hesitate for a moment before he softened his tone and said, "Rylee, you must be happy in the future. If you find the right person, you should remarry."

"What are you talking about? I will never marry anyone else in this lifetime!" Rylee cried.

Hearing this, Andrew frowned and said, "No, you can't be alone."

"Andrew, stop it, okay? I believe you, isn't that enough?" Rylee couldn't take it anymore and reached out to hug Andrew's waist.

"Really?" Andrew grabbed the railing with one hand and held Rylee with the other, a look of joy in his eyes.

"Come down first!" Rylee pulled his arm, looking very anxious.

"I'm afraid if I come down, you'll ignore me again." Andrew looked at Rylee worriedly.

Rylee furrowed and, in a moment of urgency, said, "Since I said I believe you, I will believe you. Come down quickly."

With that, Rylee began to sob uncontrollably.

"Rylee, I'm coming down right now, don't cry!" Andrew said, then easily climbed over the railing and reached out to hold the crying Rylee.

"Andrew, don't scare me like that, okay? Dad is gone, Mom is dead, you can't have anything happen to you too." Rylee cried as she hugged Andrew tightly.

"I won't let anything happen to me. I'll always be by your side." Andrew held Rylee tightly.

Rylee's emotions gradually calmed down, and Andrew carefully wiped the tears from her cheeks with a handkerchief.

Rylee leaned on Andrew, her body nestled in his arms.

Seeing that the time was right, Andrew suggested, "You need to wash your face. Why don't you come home with me? You haven't been home for two months. Don't you miss our home?"

Hearing this, Rylee was noncommittal.

Andrew continued to persuade her, "Everything at home is still the same. The bed sheets are your favorite ones; I didn't dare to change them because they carry your scent, although they're a bit dirty now. During the days you were gone, only those sheets and your clothes kept me company."

Andrew sounded particularly pitiful, and Rylee's heart softened immediately.

"Did you water my flowers?" Rylee's tone suddenly changed.

"I did. The flowers have grown a lot. If you don't believe me, come back and see." Andrew quickly replied.

At this moment, Rylee looked down at her high heels and pouted, saying, "I wore high heels while shopping today. I'm so tired."

Seeing Rylee's high heels, Andrew smiled and said, "I'll carry you."

With that, Andrew bent down and lifted Rylee horizontally.

Rylee's face also showed a smile, and she naturally wrapped her arms around Andrew.

Back in Averlake, when she got tired, he would carry her like this. But after returning to the country, people here weren't as open-minded, so Andrew never carried Rylee in public again, which had once made Rylee angry with him.

But today, as soon as she mentioned her tired feet, Andrew picked her up without a second thought, even though they were in a crowded mall.

Looking at Andrew in front of her, Rylee knew she couldn't leave him.

After they returned home, as expected, Rylee felt like crying when she saw that the master bedroom was exactly the same as when she had left.

Andrew was very patient and gentle in comforting Rylee, and eventually, Rylee naturally fell into his arms again.

In the evening, the room returned to calm.

Wrapped in a sheet, Rylee lay in Andrew's arms. In this late autumn season, both of their foreheads had a slight sheen of sweat. Clothes, belts, and underwear were scattered on the floor, filling the room with an air of intimacy.

Andrew's fingers gently caressed the skin on Rylee's back, a smile playing at the corners of his mouth.

"Are you pleased with yourself for getting your way again?" Rylee pinched Andrew's cheek as she saw the smile on his face.

"Didn't you enjoy it too?" Andrew's eyes held a hint of mischief.

"Shut up!" Rylee blushed and playfully hit Andrew.

Andrew took the opportunity to grab Rylee's hand and said tenderly, "Rylee, please, don't ever shut me out again. I can't go through that again."

"You were the one who deceived me first, weren't you?" Rylee frowned and complained.

Andrew quickly explained, "I only hid the truth with good intentions. I never meant to deceive you."

Rylee looked down at his hand holding hers. After a moment, she slowly said, "Andrew, since we're starting over, let's not bring up the past anymore."

"Okay, I won't bring it up." Hearing this, Andrew nodded eagerly.

"But I have two conditions." Rylee suddenly looked up at Andrew.

Hearing this, Andrew frowned. He didn't expect the usually simple Rylee to set conditions for him.

"If you don't agree to my conditions, I'll still divorce you!" Rylee said firmly.

"What are the conditions? Tell me, I'll definitely do as you say." Andrew quickly stated his position.

"First, I want you to resign from your position at Prosperity Group and move to Averlake with me." Rylee stated her first condition.

Hearing this condition, Andrew was stunned.

"What? You don't agree? You can't let go of your vice president position at Prosperity Group?" Seeing Andrew stunned, Rylee stared at him and asked.

"No, nothing is more important than you. It's just that my parents are getting old. I'm afraid if we move to Averlake, which is so far away, I won't be able to take care of them if something happens." Andrew desperately tried to find an excuse.

"I've already thought about that. We can bring them to Averlake or hire a live-in caregiver for them. Visiting them twice a year won't be a problem." Rylee said.

"Alright, I agree." Andrew finally nodded.

"Second, I'm transferring all my shares to Seb. No strings attached. We'll live off your shares and my properties. We'll be comfortable. And of course, I won't say no if Seb wants to give us a few hundred thousand a year as an allowance." Rylee said.

"All of them? You're giving them away? But what if we need the money later...?" Rylee's words scared Andrew.

"We have enough to last several lifetimes. We don't have children. Even if we adopt a couple, it'll be fine." Rylee said.
