Chapter 976 Leon Will Get Shy

Thunder rumbled and lightning flashed outside, making the night feel even darker. Isabella definitely didn't want Leon to go out in this weather.

So, with a smile, Isabella said, "I've got some flowers at home. You can borrow one, but you gotta give it back later!"

"Yeah, I'll pay you back tenfold, no, a hundredfold!" he replied eagerly. Leon noticed the worry in Isabella's eyes, and it warmed his heart.

Isabella grabbed Leon's hand, led him to the living room, and pointed to a pot of blooming jasmine on the coffee table.

"Use this jasmine flower instead, but remember. I won't say yes if your proposal isn't sincere." Isabella insisted.

Leon picked a blooming jasmine, then got down on one knee in front of Isabella, holding the flower with both hands. He said earnestly, "Isabella, marry me!"

Isabella looked down at Leon and playfully said, "Your voice is too low, I didn't hear you."

Leon took a deep breath and shouted, "Isabella, I love you! Marry me!"

His voice echoed through the room.

Isabella was so startled she took a step back, holding her belly. "Why are you so loud? You scared the baby!"

Leon quickly moved forward, gently touching her belly. "I'm sorry, baby, don't be scared!"

"Did I tell you to stand up?" Isabella glared at him.

Leon grinned, wrapped one arm around her shoulder, and touched her belly with the other hand. "We already have a kid, so you're destined to be my wife."

"Are you clinging to me?" Isabella laughed, giving him a playful push.

Leon hugged her tightly and said, "Yeah, I'll cling to you for a lifetime!"

"Stop it!" Isabella giggled, giving him a loving glance.

She then stroked her belly and said, "The baby says it's hungry and wants to eat."

Leon chuckled and patted her belly. "Baby, your mom is hungry and using you as an excuse!"

"What did you say?" Isabella glared at him.

"I said I'll go cook right away." Leon quickly headed to the kitchen.

A few minutes later, Isabella was lounging on the couch, watching TV and munching on snacks. She glanced at Leon busy in the kitchen and couldn't help but smile.

Once she opened her heart, happiness was really that simple. She stroked her belly, thinking it was better to live each day well rather than worry about the unpredictable future.

She felt lucky to have found a man who understood, cared for, and loved her, and who was ready to face everything with her. As for the future, she could only pray.

That night, Isabella fell asleep in Leon's arms, feeling safe and sound.

The next morning, she woke up to the smell of breakfast.

Stretching, Isabella knew Leon was in the kitchen making breakfast for her.

Just then, a head peeked in from outside the bedroom with a smile, "Hurry up and get up, breakfast is ready."

"It's still early, why the rush? Can't you let me sleep a bit more?" Isabella grumbled as she got up.

Leon called back, "We need to leave quickly after breakfast, or it'll get crowded later."

Confused, Isabella walked out of the bedroom in her pajamas. "What? Where are you taking me?"

Leon placed breakfast on the dining table and gave her a mysterious smile. "You'll find out soon."

"So mysterious?" Isabella muttered as she headed to the bathroom to freshen up.

After breakfast, Leon led Isabella to the car, and the driver silently drove off.

Watching the morning traffic, Isabella finally couldn't hold back. "Where exactly are you taking me?"

Leon kept his eyes on the road. "We'll be there soon."

Still in suspense, Isabella teased, "Are you planning to sell me and the baby?"

"You and the baby are my life, I can't afford to lose you," Leon said, wrapping an arm around her shoulder.

The car soon stopped at an intersection, and Leon helped Isabella out.

Isabella looked up at the building in front of her and frowned. "The courthouse?"

Seeing her surprised look, Leon pulled her forward.

"Why are we at the courthouse?" Isabella asked, even though she had a pretty good idea.

She was thrilled. After last night's proposal, she didn't expect Leon to bring her to register for marriage so early. She felt both nervous and excited.

"Playing dumb?" Leon smiled at her.

"I didn't bring my driver's license," Isabella suddenly stopped and said.

Leon grinned, reached into his pocket, and pulled out her driver's license, holding it up.

Isabella frowned. "My driver's license? I clearly put it in my bag. Did you steal it?"

Leon rolled his eyes. "Soon you'll be mine, so what's a driver's license?"

"Then you're mine too!" Isabella shot back.

Leon touched her face gently. "My body, heart, everything is yours."

Isabella blushed. She thought, 'I didn't expect him to say such cheesy stuff, but I love it.'

Signing the application form made Isabella nervous, but Leon quickly signed his name.

When they walked out of the courthouse, Isabella felt a wonderful sense of security and happiness. Her fate was now tied to Leon's.

Holding the marriage certificate, Leon turned to see Isabella smiling at him. "Why are you looking at me like that?"

"Can't I look at my husband a bit more?" Isabella teased.

Leon blushed. "Of course you can, look all you want."

Seeing him blush, Isabella was stunned.

Leon could actually be shy, and this discovery made her very excited.
