Chapter 550 Quarrel

After a while, the bathroom door finally opened.

The next moment, Seb, wearing a bathrobe, walked out while drying his hair with a towel.

His face was an impassive mask, his gaze distant as if he hadn't even noticed Susan perched on the edge of the bed.

Susan hesitated for a moment before getting out of bed and saying, "Shall I get the hairdryer and dry your hair for you?"

"No need!" Seb replied coldly.

Hearing this, Susan stopped in her tracks.

She turned around and looked at Seb, who had already thrown the towel by the bed and was opening the closet to find clothes.

"I'll help you find clothes!" Susan stepped forward and said.

"No need." Seb pushed Susan aside, quickly found a pair of pants and a shirt from the closet, and began changing clothes as if she wasn't there.

Seeing his coldness, Susan felt very sad.

Watching him finish dressing, put on his suit, and turn to leave, Susan couldn't hold back any longer and called out to him!

"Where are you going?"

"To work!" Seb answered with his back to her.

Hearing this, Susan's eyes flashed, and she blurted out, "To work, to work at the Golden Nightclub, you mean?"

Seb's shoulders stiffened, and he said coldly, "What exactly are you trying to say?"

"What am I trying to say? That depends on what you did. If I hadn't arrived in time last night, who knows what outrageous things you would have done!" Susan's words were out of anger.

Seb frowned, then turned to look at Susan and said, "So I'm not even allowed to drown my sorrows in peace? Susan, your mom has turned my family upside down, what do you expect me to do? Should I just pretend nothing happened and greet you with a smile?"

Seb's words left Susan speechless. After a moment, she stepped forward, grabbed his arm, and said guiltily, "Seb, I know it's our fault. You have every right to be angry. Yell at me if you need to, but please don't shut me out like this."

Tears welled up in Susan's eyes. Her family was indeed in the wrong in this matter, and they owed Seb an apology, but no matter what she did now, it couldn't make up for it.

"It's not your fault, why would I yell at you? I'm just angry and have no way to vent!" Seb said, then turned and sat on the bed in frustration.

Susan could understand Seb's frustration. When she first discovered the affair between Catherine and Todd, she couldn't handle it either and felt extremely depressed.

But Catherine was already divorced. Seb had suddenly discovered this, and in a hotel no less. Even though Todd and Carol didn't get along, they were still a family. The fact that his father had an affair with his mother-in-law is something no man could ever accept.

Susan slowly walked to the bed, sat down beside him, and covered his hand with hers.

She didn't know how to fix this mess, so she just sat silently beside him, hoping her presence would help.

"Seb, I'm sorry!" Susan finally broke the silence after a long time.

At this moment, Seb looked up at Susan. After a while, he squinted his eyes and asked, "You didn't seem very surprised yesterday. Did you already know about them?"

Hearing this, Susan fell silent.

Seb suddenly stood up, angry, and said, "So you knew all along? Why didn't you tell me earlier? Why wait until things got out of hand?"

"Honestly, I'm just as clueless, and my mom had promised me she wouldn't see your dad anymore. I didn't know they had gone this far!" Susan felt particularly aggrieved.

Hearing this, Seb knocked a vase off the cabinet!

The crystal vase shattered on the floor, startling Susan. She hadn't expected Seb to react so strongly and clutched her chest in shock.

"Why couldn't you have told me earlier? If I had known, things wouldn't have gotten out of hand!" Seb said angrily, unable to control his emotions.

"It's all my fault. Please don't be angry anymore, okay?" Susan admitted her mistake and tried to grab Seb's hand.

But Seb pushed her hand away and turned to leave.

"Where are you going?" Susan asked, frowning.

"I'm going out to clear my head. Don't look for me for the next few days!" Seb said, slamming the door as he left.

The door slammed loudly, and Susan's tears silently fell.

Susan knew she had really made him angry this time, and it would be hard for him to forgive her.

Susan sat by the window, staring blankly at the windowsill for a long time until she heard a knock on the door.

"Come in!" Susan wiped the tears from her cheeks and called out towards the door.

The door opened.

Kathy walked in anxiously and said, "Mrs. Anderson, Mr. Todd Anderson had Morgan move his things and left!"

Hearing this, Susan stood up abruptly.

"What did you say? You didn't stop him?" Susan turned to go downstairs.

Kathy quickly said, "Mrs. Anderson, don't chase after him. Mr. Todd Anderson already called a cab and left! He told me not to tell you, but I thought it was better to let you know."

Hearing this, Susan was both angry and anxious.

Where could Todd have gone? Although he had a few friends in Maple Valley, it wasn't appropriate to stay at their homes. He must have gone to a hotel.

If anything happened to Todd, how could she explain it to Seb?

"Why did Dad leave so suddenly?" Susan asked anxiously.

Kathy replied, "Mr. Seb Anderson argued with Mr. Todd Anderson before he left, and then Mr. Seb Anderson stormed out. After a while, Mr. Todd Anderson packed his things and left with Morgan!"

Hearing this, Susan understood the reason.

Knowing the nurse went with him, Susan felt a bit relieved. At least Morgan could take care of Todd.

But she still thought it best to call Seb and inform him, just in case something happened. She couldn't bear the responsibility.

However, thinking about how Seb had just argued with her and then with Todd, she decided not to add to his troubles. So, Susan called Leon, explained the situation, and asked him to handle it.

Two hours later, Leon called back to say Todd had checked into a hotel, and Susan finally felt relieved.
