Chapter 771 I Didn't Flirt with Other Women
Arguing with someone looking for a fight was pointless, especially when it came to women interested in Seb – there were always plenty of those. She'd be exhausted if she had to spar with every single one.
"Sorry, I spoke out of turn. I'll go teach Hayden and Spring now," Cecilia hesitated for a moment, then turned haughtily and went into the study.
Watching the study door close tightly, Susan frowned.
At this moment, Mary walked over, and Susan asked in a low voice, "Is there a camera installed in the study?"
"Yes, Hayden's room has a computer," Mary responded immediately.
Hearing this, Susan turned and went into Hayden's room.
She turned on the computer, and the study's footage appeared on the screen.
Cecilia was sitting at the desk, teaching Hayden and Spring. Hayden and Spring were very attentive, and nothing seemed out of the ordinary.
Only then did Susan breathe a sigh of relief!
She could never forget how Cynthia, out of love for Seb and hatred for her, had harmed Hayden back then. This time, she couldn't let her guard down.
Cecilia's intentions were already clear, and Susan couldn't let things escalate, lest Hayden and Spring get involved. It seemed she really needed Seb to replace Cecilia immediately.
That day, Susan sat in front of the computer screen until Cecilia's lesson ended.
When Cecilia left, Susan didn't go out to see her off.
On the camera, Susan saw Cecilia looking around. Susan knew who she was looking for, but today she was bound to be disappointed.
At eight o'clock in the evening, Seb came back from outside.
At this time, Susan was sitting on the couch, with Hayden and Spring on either side of her, all three engrossed in watching a cartoon.
Glancing at the TV screen, Seb smiled and said, "Three little kids watching cartoons, huh?"
"Go away!" Susan threw a soft pillow at Seb.
Seb caught the flying pillow and said indulgently, "Naughty!"
Susan couldn't help but roll her eyes at Seb.
At this moment, Spring suddenly said, "Hayden, Daddy and Mommy are fighting!"
Hayden glanced at Spring disdainfully and said, "What do you know? They're flirting."
"Hayden, what does 'flirting' mean?" Spring asked, staring at Hayden with big, round eyes.
"Why are you asking about this? Just watch TV!" Hayden scolded Spring.
"Fine, don't tell me then. Why so fierce?" Spring muttered, but didn't dare disobey Hayden and focused back on the TV.
Seb and Susan looked at the mischievous Hayden and Spring, finding it both funny and exasperating!
Susan then reached out to touch Hayden's head and asked, "Where did you learn that word?"
"From TV," Hayden replied.
Hearing this, Susan didn't know what to say and could only manage, "No more watching inappropriate TV shows!"
"You and Daddy act out inappropriate scenes every day; do I even need TV?" Hayden scoffed.
Hearing this, Susan was momentarily speechless.
At this moment, Seb grabbed Susan's wrist and pulled her up from the couch!
"What are you doing?" Susan frowned as she was suddenly pulled up.
"Don't bother Hayden and Spring while they're watching TV. Let's talk in the dining room," Seb suggested, guiding her away.
Once seated, Susan expressed her concerns, "We need to set a better example in front of Hayden and Spring. Did you hear what Hayden just said? It's one thing for a boy, but if Spring starts mimicking that behavior, it would be disastrous!"
Hearing this, Seb smiled.
Then, he pulled a chair over, sat in front of Susan, and started rubbing her hand in his palm.
"Did you hear what I said?" Susan irritably pulled her hand back.
Seb leaned close to her ear and whispered, "If you satisfied me, I wouldn't need to cling to you after getting out of bed, right?"
As he spoke, Seb put his arm around Susan's shoulder.
Hearing such flirtatious words, Susan quickly glanced towards the living room. Seeing Hayden and Spring still engrossed in the TV and Kathy and Mary having sensibly gone to their rooms, she finally breathed a sigh of relief.
She then lightly slapped Seb's hand and chided, "Why don't you ever listen? We need to be more careful; Hayden and Spring are growing up!"
But Seb ignored her, pulling her into his arms and kissing her cheek, saying, "Then satisfy me tonight, and I'll be good."
Susan smelled the alcohol on Seb's breath and knew he had been drinking again, using it as an excuse to act out.
But he was always so unruly, and Susan couldn't do anything about it.
In the end, Susan could only compromise, "When we're alone, you can do whatever you want, but in front of Hayden and Spring, we need to be more proper!"
Getting the answer he wanted, Seb grinned, pulled his arm back, and pinched Susan's nose, saying, "You said it yourself, don't go back on your word!"
"How much did you drink tonight? You smell awful!" Susan said, waving her hand in front of her nose.
"Just catching up with old friends, got a bit carried away," Seb said, leaning back in his chair.
"I'll get you some water," Susan said, getting up to pour water.
Watching Susan's back as she walked into the kitchen, Seb smiled and said, "You really do care about me."
"I know you don't lack people who care about you; plenty of people want to," Susan replied, her voice trailing off.
Hearing this, Seb wobbled to his feet, walked to the kitchen door, and said, "You need to explain that. I haven't been flirting with other women; I'm a good, clean guy!"
"I didn't say you were flirting with other women. I just said many people want to care about you. Isn't that true?" Susan rolled her eyes at Seb.
The next moment, Seb walked into the kitchen and wrapped his arms around Susan's waist from behind!
"What are you doing?" Susan, who was pouring water, was startled.
"You need to explain clearly. Who wants to care about me? Are you jealous? Tell me, who made you angry?" Seb asked, leaning close to Susan's face.
"No one made me angry. It's just that you're too charming. Women from fifteen to fifty all like you, okay?" Susan said.
