Chapter 811 I Don't Want to Lose This Child

Isabella was always the laid-back type, and right now, she was back to her usual energetic self, shaking off the gloom from the past few days.

"Coming to Northstar City was the best decision ever. There's food, drinks, and people looking after me!" Isabella grinned at Susan.

Susan smiled back and asked, "So, how far along are you?"

"About a month and a half," Isabella replied.

Susan thought for a moment and said, "The first three months are the trickiest. You gotta be super careful!"

"Yeah, I know," Isabella nodded.

Susan continued, "I'll stick around for the next month and a half to help you through the first trimester. After that, I'll head back home. But don't worry, Kathy and Mary will take good care of you. You can also help me keep an eye on Hayden and Spring. Once summer break is over, I'll be back in Northstar City. I'll also sort out your residency here."

"Okay," Isabella nodded gratefully.

Susan then hit the supermarket and stocked up on food, drinks, and all the essentials.

When they had some downtime, she took Isabella out for walks and to the social club, where they met Cecilia. The three of them clicked instantly and had a blast together.

A few days later, Susan and Isabella went out to run some errands.

As soon as they stepped out of the villa, a shadowy figure blocked their path!

Susan looked up and saw a worn-out Leon standing in front of them.

Leon was in a black trench coat, his hair a mess, eyes bloodshot, and sporting a scruffy beard, clearly showing he'd been through rough days.

It took over ten hours to fly from Maple Valley to Northstar City, so he must have just arrived.

Isabella was shocked to see Leon!

But she had been expecting this. She knew he would eventually find out she was with Susan. She just didn't think he'd show up so soon.

Leon looked at Isabella with a dark expression. After locking eyes for a couple of seconds, he suddenly stepped forward, grabbed Isabella's wrist, and said, "You're coming back with me!"

Isabella wasn't having it. She panicked and tried to pull away. "I'm not going back with you!"

"You have to," Leon said roughly, dragging her along.

Isabella struggled.

Seeing this, Susan quickly stepped in, pushed Leon away, and hugged Isabella. "Leon, Isabella is pregnant. You can't be so rough with her!"

Isabella started to cry. "He probably wants me to miscarry. That way, he wouldn't have to take me for an abortion!"

"Isabella!" Susan tried to stop her from saying more.

Leon coldly said, "You must have this abortion!"

Susan's eyes widened. She always thought Leon was a decent guy. How could he say something so cruel?

Heartbroken, Isabella sneered, "Leon, I'm so glad I didn't marry you. You even want to abort your own child. I can't imagine what else you might do!"

"This kid can't be born!" Leon's face twisted with anger, veins popping on his forehead as he glared at Isabella like he wanted to tear her apart.

But Isabella wasn't scared of him anymore.

She lifted her chin and said, "Leon, listen up. We're done. This baby is mine, not yours. I'm gonna have this child and raise it myself. I never want to see you again!"

With that, Isabella turned and headed back to the villa.

Leon, like a madman, lunged forward and grabbed her wrist, yelling, "You can't do this. This baby is mine too. I have a say in whether it gets born!"

"The baby is in my belly. It's mine!" Isabella shot back.

Both of them were losing it.

Seeing this, Susan quickly stepped in and separated them. "Can you both just calm down? Sit and talk it out!"

"I have nothing to say to him. Get him out of here. I never want to see him again!" Isabella said, storming into the villa.

Leon tried to follow, but Susan blocked him firmly.

Leon could only shout at Isabella's retreating figure, "You'll regret this. You will definitely regret this!"

Isabella stopped, turned around, and said, "Whether I regret it or not is my business. It's none of your concern!"

Then she quickly went inside.

Watching her disappear through the door, Leon turned and leaned against the wall, looking utterly defeated.

Seeing Leon in such pain, Susan frowned, totally confused.

She couldn't believe Leon didn't love Isabella. But if he did, why wouldn't he let her have his child?

With all these questions swirling in her mind, Susan looked at Leon and asked, "Leon, why won't you let Isabella have this baby? What's going on? Do you have someone else and don't want to marry Isabella?"

Leon just leaned against the wall, not even acknowledging Susan's questions.

Seeing no reaction, Susan continued, "If you don't love Isabella anymore or have someone else, trust me, she wouldn't use the baby to trap you. She'd let you go."

It seemed like Leon didn't hear a word. He just muttered, "You wouldn't understand."

Then he turned and walked away quickly.

Watching him leave, Susan shook her head.

When Susan went into the living room, she saw Isabella sitting on the couch, crying softly.

Susan frowned and handed her a tissue.

Isabella took it and, while wiping her tears, said, "Did you see that? He's completely lost it. Susan, what do I do? He won't stop until I have an abortion!"

Seeing the fear in Isabella's eyes, Susan tried to comfort her, "Don't worry. This is Northstar City, not back home. The laws here are strict. If he tries anything, the cops will nab him right away!"

"Can you get him to leave Northstar City quickly? I feel so uneasy, Susan. I don't want to lose this baby!" Isabella said, her hand on her belly, looking worried.
