Chapter 1129 Riverside Tea Lounge
Kennedy continued, "We'll notify you once we finalize the exact location."
"Alright. Goodbye." Cecilia then hung up.
For the next few days, Cecilia kept waiting for Kennedy to inform her of the location.
Finally, on Monday, Kennedy told Cecilia the location.
The place was chosen to be a tea room called Riverside Tea Lounge. Kennedy explained that Victoria felt that having the interview in an office would be too formal, and she didn't want to reveal her personal privacy by having it at home. Additionally, she didn't want to appear too high-profile in public, which would reduce her approachability.
After hearing Kennedy's explanation, Cecilia realized that her thinking had been too simplistic. The considerations and concerns of high-level individuals were beyond the understanding of ordinary people like her.
Moreover, Kennedy mentioned that they had already reserved the spot at the tea room, so the magazine didn't need to worry about it, which made Cecilia feel relieved.
However, before the interview, Cecilia suddenly felt inexplicably nervous. This was probably the most distinctive person she had ever interviewed. After all, she had only interviewed some scholars arranged by the school before, and there was still a gap between that and interviewing someone from the upper echelons.
At two o'clock that afternoon, Cecilia had prepared everything for the interview and was about to leave Vogue Vista for Riverside Tea Lounge.
Unexpectedly, Calista walked over and smiled. "Cecilia, it's not good to go alone. Let Arabella go with you. With Arabella assisting you, in case anything happens, you'll have someone to rely on."
At this moment, Arabella had already walked up behind Calista, her eyes fixed on Cecilia with a half-smile.
Cecilia felt that Calista was acting very unusual today. Normally, she was always harsh, but today she had a smile on her face.
And Arabella was usually Calista's sidekick, often using Calista's influence to act arrogantly in the team, making everyone angry but afraid to speak up.
This time, Calista letting Arabella go with her was definitely not out of good intentions.
"Ms. Day, I think Cecilia is reluctant because she's afraid I'll steal her credit, right?" Sensing Cecilia hesitate, Arabella seized the opportunity to stir up trouble.
Cecilia knew that although she didn't want Arabella to go with her, she couldn't refuse since it was Calista's order. She just needed to be more cautious.
Then, Cecilia smiled and said, "Ms. Day, I don't mean what Arabella said. I just think that since I'm a newcomer and Arabella is a senior employee, it's not appropriate for her to assist me."
Hearing this, Calista said, "This is a work requirement, so you don't need to mind. It's getting late, you should hurry up and leave. You can't keep Victoria waiting."
"Alright." Then, Cecilia and Arabella left the magazine office together.
Cecilia and Arabella hardly spoke on the way. Arabella acted superior, making Cecilia carry everything, as if she were the assistant.
But Cecilia didn't mind, as long as Arabella didn't cause her any trouble.
Cecilia was dressed very professionally today, wearing an off-white business suit with a black undershirt, her hair tied in a high ponytail, and a pair of pearl earrings. Indeed, they were decent but genuinely cheap.
Soon, Cecilia and Arabella arrived at Riverside Tea Lounge.
The tea room was by the river, a quiet place amidst the hustle and bustle. The surroundings were planted with many reeds, and the tea room was a classical building with a small artificial stream at the entrance, giving a very rustic and serene feeling.
Cecilia immediately liked the place at first sight, but considering the location and environment, it was probably not a place ordinary people could afford.
"I've only heard of Riverside Tea Lounge and never been here. I didn't expect it to be so tranquil. I feel like I can breathe better!" Arabella couldn't help but exclaim at the sight.
"Kennedy said this place was personally chosen by Victoria," Cecilia said.
"It seems like this is the level of a wealthy's life. The place she chose is one we've never been to," Arabella remarked.
Cecilia smiled and then entered Riverside Tea Lounge with Arabella.
The interior of Riverside Tea Lounge could be described as exquisite, with redwood carvings everywhere, a shiny green floor, paintings on the walls, and various exquisite potted plants and decorations.
At this moment, a tall waitress in a pink dress walked over and smiled. "Are you guests of Ms. Tate?"
"Yes." Cecilia quickly nodded.
"Ms. Hope is waiting for you." The waitress smiled and made a welcoming gesture, then led Cecilia and Arabella further inside.
Sure enough, a young woman in a black suit was sitting on a chair drinking tea. Seeing Cecilia and Arabella, she smiled and stood up. "Who is Cecilia?"
"I am, and this is my assistant, Arabella," Cecilia replied.
Hearing this, Kennedy smiled friendly at Arabella, then said to Cecilia, "Ms. Tate is waiting inside, but she can only see Cecilia. Arabella, please wait outside and have tea with me."
Hearing this, Arabella frowned. "I..."
At this moment, Cecilia quickly pulled Arabella's hand and whispered, "We can't offend Ms. Tate. You'd better wait outside."
Arabella knew that Victoria was not an ordinary person, so she temporarily held back her anger and sat down on a chair nearby.
"Please." Kennedy made a welcoming gesture.
Cecilia smiled and followed Kennedy through a corridor, around a screen, and arrived at a waterside pavilion.
Cecilia didn't expect there to be a waterside pavilion here. It was surrounded by water, with a view of the rolling river. Light curtains hung on both sides of the pavilion, and six screens connected to the inside. The light breeze made the curtains gently sway.
In the center of the pavilion was a tea table, and a sweet and beautiful young woman was sitting on a chair, making tea.
Cecilia was stunned at the sight of the beautiful woman making tea.
"Ms. Tate, the reporter from Vogue Vista is here," Kennedy walked to Victoria's side and whispered in her ear.
