Chapter 661 Where We Had Sex for the First Time
Upon hearing this, Susan furrowed. The words she had prepared vanished from her mind, leaving her frustrated.
"If there's nothing..." Seb, on the other end, hadn't heard Susan speak for a while and was about to hang up.
Susan quickly said into the phone, "I want to see the kids. Can we arrange a place to meet?"
Hearing this, Seb let out a cold laugh and then said, "I'll have Leon inform you of the time and place later."
Before Susan could respond, Seb hung up the phone.
That afternoon, Susan was restless, constantly checking her phone. It wasn't until almost the end of the workday that her phone finally rang.
Seeing it was Leon's number, Susan quickly answered.
"Hello?"
"Ms. Wilson, Mr. Anderson asked me to inform you that he will be waiting for you tonight at 10 PM in room 088 on the top floor of the Hilton Hotel," Leon said.
Susan was stunned for a moment, then replied, "Got it."
"Goodbye." Hearing her response, Leon hung up.
Room 088 on the top floor of the Hilton Hotel was where she and Seb had made love for the first time over six years ago.
Seb had arranged the same hotel and the same room this time, clearly on purpose. He must be trying to humiliate her, right?
Susan's heart was in turmoil, the memories of that night still faintly in her mind.
Back then, he had mistaken her for a woman who would sleep with him for money, trying to give her money from his wallet. She had reacted quickly, unwilling to be insulted, and threw the only $150 she had in her wallet onto the bed, which had made him furious.
Thinking of this, Susan couldn't help but laugh, but her smile was tinged with deep melancholy and sadness.
Did he arrange the meeting place at their first encounter just to humiliate her? Or was it to start and end their relationship in the same place?
Susan knew that none of this was up to her; only Seb had the power to decide.
Soon it was time to leave work, and Isabella walked in with a smile, asking, "Leon made a reservation tonight. Let's go have some Mexican food together?"
Susan knew Isabella was trying to cheer her up, but she wasn't in the mood for Mexican food.
Forcing a smile, Susan said, "I don't want to intrude on you two."
"You're with us all the time. One night won't hurt. Come on!" Isabella pulled Susan up and pushed her along, leaving Susan no choice but to go.
So, Susan went with Leon and Isabella to have Mexican food.
The food was delicious, but Susan found it tasteless.
That night, she deliberately drank a little, hoping the alcohol would ease her nerves.
In truth, calling it nervousness might be an exaggeration. She'd been intimate with Seb countless times, had his children, carried his child. It wasn't like she was a virgin. It was just...sex.
But the more she thought about it, the more anxious and helpless she felt. She feared Seb's cold gaze, which could kill her with its iciness, indifference, and cruelty. Just thinking about it made Susan shiver.
"Why are you drinking today? It's been a long time since you last had a drink," Isabella said, looking at Susan with a smile.
Susan looked up and saw Leon's complex expression. To avoid suspicion, she quickly said, "With such delicious Mexican food, it would be a waste not to drink a little."
She didn't want Isabella to know about the deal she had made with Seb, not because of pride or self-respect, but because she feared Isabella would confront Seb. Isabella was the type to do such a thing.
"True. I'll be right back after a trip to the restroom," Isabella said, smiling as she got up.
After Isabella left, Leon frowned and said to Susan, "Ms. Wilson, you shouldn't drink anymore. Don't forget about tonight..."
"I won't forget tonight's meeting," Susan interrupted Leon.
She didn't know how much Leon knew about her and Seb, but she felt ashamed. To see her children, she had sacrificed her dignity, but she had no choice.
"That's not what I meant," Leon hesitated. "I really want to help you, but..."
Susan understood Leon's predicament and smiled, saying, "It's okay. I can handle it. Just don't tell Isabella. I don't want her to worry."
"I've been keeping it from her," Leon nodded.
"Good," Susan nodded back.
Soon, Isabella returned with a smile.
"Did Leon say bad things about me while I was gone?" Isabella teased.
"How could I dare?" Leon laughed, pouring Isabella a beer.
"Why didn't you pour one for Susan?" Isabella asked, seeing Leon only pour for her.
"Hey, if you get drunk, I can take care of you. Ms. Wilson is alone; don't let her drink anymore. She's already had two bottles," Leon explained with a smile.
"Yeah, I'm feeling a bit dizzy. Let's drink another time," Susan quickly agreed.
Seeing this, Isabella smiled and said, "Alright, since I have a beast to take care of me."
With that, Isabella playfully patted Leon on the shoulder.
"Hey, who are you calling a beast?" Leon immediately asked.
"Of course, you. We're like Beauty and the Beast," Isabella teased.
"Don't push it!" Leon felt embarrassed and glared at Isabella.
"So what if I say a few things? You dare to glare at me in front of my best friend?" Isabella retorted.
"A man's gotta have some pride, right? Throw me a bone here," Leon pleaded.
"Why are you so petty? Can't you be a little accommodating? I'm a woman, you know?" Isabella glanced at Susan and immediately got angry.
"As if women aren't people too? Why do I always have to be the one accommodating? Can't you meet me halfway for once?" Leon argued back.
Leon and Isabella started bickering in front of Susan, their anger seemingly escalating.
Seeing the two argue so intensely, Susan shook her head with a smile, then quietly picked up her bag and left.
