Chapter 701 I Am His Wife
Seeing the helpless expression on Leon's face, Susan frowned slightly, then stepped forward, opened the bar door, and walked in.
The lighting in the bar was a bit dim, and the seats were filled with people drowning their sorrows, with some beautiful women mingling among them, creating a somewhat ambiguous atmosphere.
Susan quickly found Seb in a corner. Seeing him, Susan frowned.
He was sitting on a large sofa, wearing a white shirt, holding a glass of wine, and downing it in one gulp. He looked quite inebriated.
Beside him sat a woman in a black off-shoulder dress, with large curls and heavy makeup. Her hands, with bright red nail polish, were constantly groping Seb, and one of her legs, clad in black stockings, was almost on his lap.
Seeing this scene, Susan was extremely annoyed and wanted to pull the woman away, but she knew she had no standing to do so and had to endure it for now.
The woman in the black dress was running her hands over Seb's shirt, her sultry voice whispering in his ear, "You've had too much to drink. How about coming to my place for a cup of coffee to sober up?"
"No," Seb shook his head.
The woman was persistent, even taking off her high heels, and her foot, clad in black stockings, kept rubbing against Seb's leg. "The air here is so stuffy. How about we go outside for some fresh air?"
At this point, Susan couldn't stand it anymore. She rushed over and shouted loudly, "Well, now I know why you haven't come home yet! So this is where you are!"
Seb was too drunk to lift his head.
The woman in the black dress frowned and asked, "Who are you? Do you know you're disturbing others by shouting here?"
Susan immediately put her hands on her hips and said, "I'm his wife. Now, can you move?"
The woman was surprised, then quickly put on her high heels and turned to leave in a hurry.
But after taking a few steps, she came back and boldly shouted, "Don't forget to pay the bill. All those drinks were on your man, and this one was his treat. You can't skip out on the bill!"
"My man can afford your drink!" Susan said, then used all her strength to pull Seb up from the sofa.
"What are you doing?" Seb, too drunk to recognize anyone, mumbled.
"Let's go!" Susan put one of his arms over her shoulder, holding his coat in her arms, and staggered to the bar. She took his wallet from his pocket, threw several bills on the counter, and said, "Keep the change!"
Susan helped Seb out of the bar, and Leon had already pulled the car up. He quickly came over to open the car door for them.
A few minutes later, Leon was driving down the night road in Maple Valley.
In the dimly lit car, Seb leaned back in his seat, frowning, eyes closed, looking thoroughly intoxicated.
Susan looked at Seb with concern, feeling both disgusted and heartbroken. It was clear how he had been spending his days in a drunken stupor.
With his designer clothes and the watch on his wrist, it was obvious he was wealthy, and it was no surprise that many women would target him in such places.
However, Esme's words today had comforted her. No matter what tricks those women used, he never touched them; he was just buying a reputation, playing a part.
It was childish, really. Was this his way of getting back at her, hurting her? By destroying his own reputation?
Susan didn't know what to say to him. Seb really needed a mother to discipline him.
At this moment, Leon asked from the front, "Ms. Wilson, Mr. Anderson is completely drunk. Where should we take him? It's almost eleven, and if we take him back to the villa, it will definitely wake Hayden and Spring."
Hearing this, Susan frowned slightly.
She understood what Leon meant; he wanted her to take Seb back to her apartment.
But looking at Seb's drunken state, sending him back to the villa would be a hassle. Honestly, she wasn't comfortable with it either. Leon wasn't an outsider; he knew all about her and Seb's situation.
So, the next moment, Susan looked up and said to Leon, "Let's go to my place."
"Alright," Leon smiled and nodded, then added, "This way, I can spend some time with Isabella. She's been complaining lately."
Hearing this, Susan smiled. "We had Mexican food together tonight and watched a movie. I noticed she seemed quite bored."
Susan suddenly realized that Seb's nightly drunkenness must have kept Leon busy taking care of him, leaving him no time to be with Isabella.
With her taking care of Seb tonight, Leon could finally spend time with Isabella.
"You two aren't getting any younger," Susan teased. "Shouldn't you be thinking about making it official?"
Hearing this, Susan saw Leon frown slightly in the rearview mirror.
"Isabella and I haven't thought about marriage yet. I think we'll just go with the flow," Leon smiled.
Hearing this, Susan frowned slightly. It felt a bit odd. They had been in love for a while, and both were quite mature. Why didn't Leon seem interested in marriage? Was he not serious about Isabella?
Thinking this, Susan immediately dismissed the idea. Leon was a very reliable man and would never be irresponsible. Maybe they just wanted to enjoy the feeling of being in love for a while. After all, both of them had been single for so many years.
Seb was really heavy, and it was only with Leon's help that Susan managed to get him onto her bed.
Leon looked at Seb sleeping soundly on the bed, smiled, and said to Susan, "Ms. Wilson, I'll leave Mr. Anderson to you. I have to go now."
Before Susan could respond, Leon's phone rang!
Leon took out his phone, and seeing the flashing number on the screen, couldn't hide his smile. "Isabella is calling."
"Hurry up and go. Be careful on the road!" Susan said, unable to hold back her laughter.
"Alright, I'm leaving." Leon quickly left Susan's house.
