Chapter 1186 We're Done

Cecilia was stunned for a moment, then chose to keep quiet.

Daryl was very clear; he was buying shoes for his girlfriend. She wasn't Daryl's girlfriend, so naturally, she had no say in the matter.

Daryl's gaze was fixed on Cecilia, who felt helpless and turned her face away.

After a while, the saleswoman brought the shoes over. "Sir, shall I help this lady try on the shoes?"

Daryl took the shoes, glanced at them, and then put them back in the box, saying, "No need, they will fit. Let's check out."

The saleswoman immediately smiled and said, "Thank you for your patronage. These shoes are a new style, made of lambskin, priced at $6,800. We can offer you a 10% discount."

"No need, my girlfriend doesn't wear discounted items." Daryl handed over a credit card.

"Alright." The saleswoman was momentarily taken aback, then quickly took the card and cheerfully went to process the payment.

Hearing their conversation, Cecilia smirked. She thought, 'Having money means you can be willful, and having a lot of money means you can be even more willful!'

Daryl looked at Cecilia and asked, "I think these shoes look great, don't you?"

Cecilia looked up and met his intense gaze, feeling a sudden tightness in her heart.

She coldly said, "As long as your girlfriend likes them, that's all that matters. I don't like this type of shoe, and besides, I can't afford them."

After saying this, she walked to the entrance of the boutique to wait.

Daryl glanced at her, seemingly unfazed, his eyes filled with tenderness as he looked at the shoes in the box.

Soon, the saleswoman returned the credit card and receipt to Daryl with a smile and bowed, "Thank you for your patronage, sir."

Then, Daryl took the shoe box and walked out of the store with Cecilia.

He took Cecilia to a cosmetics counter and bought a set of high-end cosmetics, again claiming they were for his girlfriend, and Cecilia could only wait on the side.

Around noon, Daryl parked the car in front of a restaurant.

Sitting in the passenger seat, Cecilia turned to look and frowned, "If you want to treat me to a meal, I think it's unnecessary. I need to get back to the magazine office..."

Before she could finish, Daryl interrupted her. "I'm your interviewee, and it's already noon. Shouldn't you be treating me to lunch?"

Cecilia was taken aback and stared at Daryl. She thought, 'Actually, he's right. Out of courtesy, she should treat the guest to a meal.'

Seeing her hesitation, Daryl grinned.

Cecilia said, "Alright, I'll treat you to lunch on behalf of the magazine."

After saying this, she got out of the car.

Seeing Cecilia walk into the restaurant ahead, Daryl smirks triumphantly.

Fifteen minutes later, Daryl and Cecilia were seated in a private room.

Daryl ordered a series of dishes without hesitation, then handed the menu to the waiter and said, "Bring us a bottle of wine."

"Alright, please wait a moment." The waiter took the menu and left the room.

After the door to the private room closed, only Daryl and Cecilia remained, and a strange atmosphere began to fill the space.

Looking up, Cecilia met Daryl's amused gaze and quickly lowered her head, reaching for the tea to drink.

Suddenly, Daryl took out something and placed it in front of Cecilia.

Cecilia frowned. This was her diary in Northstar City, which had gone missing in Daryl's apartment and never reappeared.

Seeing the notebook now, she knew that Daryl had indeed taken it back.

She reached out to take the notebook.

Unexpectedly, Daryl grabbed her hand on the notebook!

As Cecilia frowned, Daryl said, "Cecilia, first I want to apologize. I took this diary without your permission."

Cecilia tried to pull her hand back, but Daryl held on tightly. She said in disgust, "I think you also owe me an apology for reading its contents without my permission, don't you ?"

"Indeed, but I don't regret it. Although I know it's unethical to read someone else's diary without their consent, I don't regret reading yours. In fact, I'm glad I did." Daryl replied, his eyes filled with deep emotion as he gazed at Cecilia.

"Mr. Fields, I'm here to interview you today. You're my guest. I don't want to discuss personal matters with you, and I have nothing personal to discuss. Please let go of my hand, or I'll leave immediately!"

Their eyes locked in a tense standoff.

His gaze was filled with attachment, while her eyes were full of defiance.

Daryl let go of her hand.

Cecilia quickly pulled her hand back, but Daryl suddenly stood up, walked over to her, and pulled her up from the chair!

"What are you doing?" Cecilia was startled by his sudden action.

Daryl urgently said, "Cecilia, even if you hit me or scold me, I need to get this off my chest today. I can't keep it in any longer; I've been holding it in for over six months!"

Cecilia was stunned because she saw a different Daryl. His brows were furrowed, his face was serious, his eyes were complex, and his attitude was anxious and urgent, completely different from his usual calm demeanor.

"What else is there to talk about? It's done between us." Cecilia said coldly.

Daryl shook his head and said, "No, our feelings have never ended. I can say that my feelings for you have never ended."

"But my feelings for you have ended!"

Daryl was momentarily stunned, then said, "I know you were disappointed in me before, so now I've decided to pursue you again."

Cecilia sneered, "Daryl, who do you think you are? Even if you're as rich as a king, I won't have anything to do with you again!"

After saying this, Cecilia tried to push Daryl away.

However, Daryl held onto her shoulders tightly. In their struggle, Daryl frowned and suddenly leaned down to kiss Cecilia on the lips!

Suddenly kissed, Cecilia's mind went blank.

A second later, she began to resist!
