Chapter 622 Her Heart Hurts

"What are you doing? Let go of me!" Susan, startled, reached out and grabbed Seb's shirt.

Her refusal and resistance only made Seb angrier. He glared at Susan with sharp eyes and said coldly, "What? Only George can touch you now, is that it?"

"My body, my choice!" Susan retorted, shoving against his chest with all her might. "It's none of your business!"

But he was immovable, his strength overwhelming her.

For a moment, Susan was both angry and ashamed, but she had no way out.

Just as Seb was pressing Susan's shoulders onto the hard desk, there was a sudden knock on the office door!

However, Seb ignored the knocking completely. He stared at Susan like an enraged lion, about to devour his prey.

But the knocking on the door continued at the inopportune moment.

Susan's eyes were filled with fear as she stared at Seb, also afraid that someone might burst in. After all, their current position was quite inappropriate.

Seb's cold eyes stared at Susan for a while, then he finally let her go.

Susan quickly got off the desk and straightened her wrinkled clothes.

"Come in!" Seb's voice rang out immediately.

The office door opened, and Ellie said with a troubled expression, "Mr. Anderson, Ms. Davis is here and insists on seeing you!"

Susan looked up at Seb, who was now standing in front of the desk with his hands in his pockets, looking relaxed but with a slightly dark expression, showing no sign that he had just lost his temper.

Hearing Ellie's words, Susan frowned.

The fact that Esme, the hottest star in Maple Valley, came straight to the office to see him suggested their relationship was not simple.

Seeing that Seb didn't speak, Ellie sensibly said, "Maybe I should ask Ms. Davis to wait a bit."

"No need to wait, let her in!" Seb said before Ellie could finish.

"Okay." Ellie nodded.

Hearing that Seb wanted to see Esme, Susan knew she wouldn't get any answers today, so she turned to grab her bag.

But Seb reached out and grabbed Susan's bag before she could.

Seeing his action, Susan frowned.

"Why are you in such a hurry to leave? Esme is the hottest star in Maple Valley right now, don't you want to meet her?" Seb's cold eyes stared at Susan.

"I..." Susan wanted to say she wasn't interested in female stars.

But before she could speak, a stylishly dressed woman walked into Seb's office.

Esme wore a long, golden dress, her curly hair loose, with exquisite makeup and a set of pearl jewelry, looking elegant and sexy. The dress had a high slit, revealing a long, smooth leg with every step, making people fantasize.

For some reason, seeing the alluring Esme made Susan very unhappy. She vaguely felt that Seb wanted to make her angry. She wanted to leave immediately, but Seb's hand was still on her bag, clearly not wanting her to leave right away!

Esme walked in with a charming smile but stopped smiling when she saw Susan standing next to Seb.

She immediately stopped smiling and looked at Seb. "Mr. Anderson, you have a guest? Am I interrupting?"

"No, you came at the right time," Seb said, focusing on Esme.

Seeing Seb's apparent enthusiasm, Esme smiled and fiddled with a document in her hand. "I came to show you the endorsement contract I'm about to sign with Prosperity Group. Do you have time to look at it?"

"Of course, I have time for your matters, plenty of time. Please, have a seat!" Seb took the contract from Esme and invited her to sit on the sofa.

Esme glanced at Susan, then a shy smile appeared on her face as she spoke to Seb, "Mr. Anderson, it's my good fortune to endorse Prosperity Group's jewelry. Thanks to your strong promotion, my popularity in Maple Valley has increased a lot. To thank you for your support, I'd like to treat you to dinner tonight. Are you free?"

Esme spoke very politely.

At this moment, Susan could have left.

But her feet wouldn't move; she stayed because she wanted to see Seb's reaction.

She felt she was crazy. Hadn't she decided to leave him? Whoever he was with was his business, nothing to do with her. But she didn't want to leave; she wanted to see his reaction.

Sure enough, Seb smiled and sat next to Esme, placing his hand on her leg and saying ambiguously, "I should be the one treating you to dinner!"

"Mr. Anderson, you're too kind to me." Esme shyly lowered her head but moved closer to Seb.

The two of them flirted, and Seb glanced at Susan, who was staring at them blankly. He seemed very satisfied and continued talking to Esme.

The next moment, Susan expressionlessly grabbed her bag and quickly walked out of the CEO's office.

Seeing Susan come out, Ellie stood up and asked with a smile, "Mrs. Anderson, are you leaving?"

Susan seemed not to hear Ellie, went straight to the elevator, and leaned against the wall, feeling her heart ache terribly.

After Susan left, Seb's face immediately darkened.

"Mr. Anderson, what do you usually do for fun? What should we do after dinner?" Esme, having finally caught Seb's attention, wasn't about to give up such a good opportunity.

At this point, Seb stood up from the sofa, expressionless, and said, "I have a very important meeting in five minutes. If you have any questions about the contract, go to the head of the planning department. I'll tell him to give you the best terms."

After speaking, Seb walked to his desk, took a cigarette from the pack, and lit it, smoking irritably.

Seb's eyes were fixed on the door, clearly his mind was no longer in the office.

Esme quickly stood up and said urgently, "Mr. Anderson, go ahead with your meeting. I have no work today; I can wait here!"
