Chapter 709 You're So Mean

The next moment, Seb looked down at his pajamas and said, "I was just thinking, if your cousin wore these pajamas, it would be like a kid wearing an adult's clothes!"

Hearing this, Susan immediately understood his intention.

Seb was 5'12" and had gained some weight over the years, probably around 170 pounds. Her cousin would look quite ridiculous in those pajamas.

Seeing how easily he saw through her lie, Susan blushed, pushed Seb away, and shouted, "My cousin just likes to wear baggy clothes, okay?"

"Fine, and I like to wear clothes that fit just right!" Seb looked down at his pajamas again and smiled happily.

Susan knew it was useless to be stubborn, so she said angrily, "So what if I bought them for you? It's not a crime to buy someone clothes! You had nothing to wear at my place yesterday. I couldn't very well let you walk around naked, could I? Think of my reputation!"

After shouting, Susan turned and ran to the living room couch in a huff.

A moment later, a figure in pajamas quietly sat in front of Susan.

Susan turned her face away, deliberately avoiding looking at him.

He tilted his head to look at Susan's face and asked with a smile, "Hey, do you think these flowers are pretty?"

"What do you want, Seb?" she grumbled, refusing to look at him.

"I bought them just for you," Seb said, smiling gently at Susan.

Hearing this, Susan rolled her eyes at him. "You just said you had Leon buy them on the way."

"I was just saying that. Who told you to be so gullible?" Seb said, smiling at Susan.

"Get away! Who are you calling gullible?" Susan asked fiercely.

"Is there anyone else in this room?" Seb looked around and said.

At this moment, Seb was really making Susan angry!

The next moment, Susan shouted, "Seb, you're asking for it!"

After shouting, Susan started punching and kicking Seb.

This time, Seb fought back, but of course, it was just playful banter. He didn't hurt her, but it quickly wore her out.

The two of them wrestled on the couch, with Susan grabbing his arm and him pinning her leg. Soon, they were rolling around on the couch!

In the end, Susan was straddling Seb's waist, while Seb held her wrists. They were both gritting their teeth, and Seb was clearly teasing Susan because she was completely restrained and couldn't move, even though she was on top and he was on the bottom.

When Susan realized how awkward their position was, it was already too late.

"Let go!" Susan glared at Seb beneath her.

"I won't," Seb said with a mischievous smile.

"Let go of me now!" Susan, straddling him, wobbled and quickly blushed because she felt his reaction.

"I think this is pretty good," Seb said, glancing at Susan's hips.

Susan knew exactly what his mischievous look meant, but his big hands were like iron clamps, tightly gripping her wrists, and she couldn't get down.

"You..." Susan was about to say something but let out a low cry.

Seb released her wrists, immediately sat up, and hugged her waist, finally kissing her lips in one smooth motion.

Of course, he didn't just want a kiss. Soon, their clothes were scattered on the floor.

After everything calmed down, Seb and Susan squeezed together on the couch. She lay in his arms, her face blushed.

"Why haven't you said anything for so long?" Seb asked softly, looking down at Susan in his arms.

At this moment, Susan's eyes fell on the red roses on the coffee table, and she asked foolishly, "Were those flowers really for me?"

Hearing this, Seb's lips curved into a smile, and he pinched Susan's nose. "I've noticed your IQ has dropped recently. If they weren't for you, why would they be in your vase?"

Hearing this, Susan pouted and complained, "You're just being mean. You said you bought them to beautify the living room."

"Beautifying the living room is secondary. I mainly wanted to make you happy," Seb said, looking deeply at Susan in his arms.

His eyes were deep and focused, a look Susan hadn't seen in a long time, and her heart softened completely.

Then, her voice became much gentler. "How would I know if you didn't say so?"

The next moment, Seb hugged her tightly.

Susan felt his strength, as if he wanted to embed her into his body, and it even hurt a little.

But she was willing to let him hold her so tightly. It felt both comfortable and gave her a sense of security.

His chin rubbed against her forehead as he murmured, "My mom and Rylee left me suddenly, and my dad has become distant. Now, I only have you and the kids. You and the kids must stay safe!"

Hearing Seb's words filled with sadness and worry, Susan frowned. "Don't worry, the kids and I will be fine."

"There's something I need to discuss with you," Seb suddenly said.

"What is it?" Susan asked, hearing the seriousness in his tone and thinking it must be something important.

"I want to temporarily send Hayden and Spring to Aelistania for their education," Seb replied.

Hearing this, Susan's brows furrowed, and she became incoherent because she couldn't accept being separated from her kids. "I think the education here is good enough. Why send them to Aelistania? Besides, they're too young. You have to manage the company, so you can't go with them. Do you expect me to go to Aelistania to take care of them? What about my accounting firm?"

Seeing Susan's agitation, Seb put his arm around her shoulder and patiently said, "I said it's temporary. I'll have Mary and Kathy go with them, and I'll send a few more people to take care of them. I also have a few good friends over there. Once this... crisis is over, we'd bring them back. Six months, maybe a year, two at most."

"Crisis?" Susan frowned at Seb, not understanding what he meant.

At this moment, Seb's expression became serious, and after a long pause, he said, "Your suspicion was right. Rylee's death wasn't that simple."
