Chapter 357 I'm Just Destined To Be With You
At that moment, Susan noticed Seb clutching his stomach since he walked in. So, he had a stomachache.
"Where's the stomach meds?" Susan knew Seb was tough as nails, so if he was grimacing, it had to be bad.
"In the nightstand in my bedroom," Seb managed to say before shutting his eyes again.
Susan bolted out, found the meds in Seb's room, grabbed a glass of water, and rushed back.
"Here, take this," she said, practically sweating bullets. She hadn't realized how much she cared about Seb until now. Seeing him in pain was killing her.
But Seb was in a world of hurt and probably drunk too, just lying there groaning with his eyes closed.
Susan frowned, went up to him, and shoved the meds into his mouth, then poured the water in.
Maybe she was too rough, 'cause Seb started coughing like crazy.
Seeing him choke, Susan quickly put down the cup and patted his back, nervously asking, "You okay?"
After coughing, Seb glared at her. "I almost choked to death because of you. Do you think I'm okay?"
Seeing his pissed-off face, Susan figured he was fine and snapped back, "I was trying to help you, and you're being a jerk?"
"If you're gonna help me, can you be a bit gentler? You were like trying to make a donkey drink water!" Seb grumbled.
Hearing that, Susan couldn't help but laugh out loud!
Seeing her laugh, Seb shut up.
He knew he was just a stubborn donkey—and a stupid one at that.
After laughing, Susan looked up and met his intense gaze.
She froze, feeling like his eyes were burning her skin.
Then she looked down and realized she was only wrapped in a towel. Embarrassment hit her like a wave.
"If you're gonna sleep here, I'll go to the next room, no, the study!" With that, Susan turned and fled the guest bedroom.
The master bedroom was Seb's, so she couldn't sleep there. But the single bed in the study would do; at least she could get some rest.
Lying on the single bed in the study, Susan dozed off. When she woke up, she saw the wall clock pointing to three o'clock in the dim light.
Worried that Spring might have a fever again, Susan quickly got up and tiptoed downstairs.
Quietly pushing open Mary's bedroom door, she saw them sleeping soundly. She reached out to touch Spring's head, confirming she didn't have a fever, and finally felt relieved.
Back upstairs, Susan saw the guest bedroom door and thought of Seb, wondering if his stomachache had gotten better.
Hesitating in front of the guest bedroom door, Susan decided to check on him. But before going in, she tightened the towel around her chest.
Gently pushing open the guest bedroom door, it was pitch black inside. Susan reached out and flicked on the wall lamp.
In the dim light, she saw the bed was empty. No Seb.
Seeing this, Susan anxiously walked a few steps forward, confirming the bed was indeed empty. She couldn't help but worry. Where could Seb have gone so late? Could his stomachache have gotten so bad that he went to the hospital?
Thinking of this, Susan started to panic. She turned to find clothes, ready to rush to the hospital.
But as she turned, she saw a tall figure in a bathrobe standing behind her.
Startled, Susan took a step back, covering her chest. Seeing it was Seb, she couldn't help but shout, "Why didn't you make a sound? What are you trying to do?"
Seb stepped closer. "It's the middle of the night, and you come into my room dressed like this. I want to know what you're trying to do."
Looking down at her towel, Susan quickly crossed her arms over her chest and stammered, "I was just worried about your stomach. I dressed like this because I took a bath and didn't have any pajamas to change into!"
By now, Seb was only a foot away from Susan, his eyes fixed on her as he questioned, "Where are the clothes you wore earlier? Can I assume you're deliberately trying to seduce me?"
Hearing this, Susan felt the urge to curse. She shouted, "Seb, can you be reasonable? I took a bath in this room's bathroom, and my clothes are still in there."
But before Susan could finish, Seb stepped forward, grabbed her waist with one hand and the back of her head with the other, and kissed her hard!
Susan was stunned. When she realized what was happening, she tried to push him away, but she couldn't budge Seb.
After less than a minute of struggling, Susan was exhausted. Seb's hands were like iron clamps, holding her so tightly she couldn't move.
Moreover, Seb's kiss was so passionate and wild that she couldn't catch her breath.
Susan was both angry and suffocating from Seb's sudden kiss, and her face quickly turned pale!
Seb stopped the kiss just in time, but his hands still held her firmly.
Susan gasped for air, too busy catching her breath to argue with Seb. She had almost suffocated!
Seb stroked her hair and murmured, "When will you be as gentle as other women and not so stubborn?"
Hearing this, Susan angrily said, "If you don't like it, you can go find those gentle women!"
Hearing this, Seb smiled helplessly and looked at her with determination. "Maybe I'm just destined to be with you, my wildcat."
"Wildcat?" Susan frowned. She didn't like the nickname. Even if she wasn't gentle, she wasn't as fierce as a wildcat, right?
Seeing Susan angry, Seb didn't get mad. Instead, he pinched her chin and said self-deprecatingly, "I'm afraid of you, wildcat, okay?"
Hearing this, Susan couldn't help but smile, her anger dissipating.
"Not angry anymore?" Seb lifted Susan's chin.
"Does your stomach still hurt?" Susan looked at Seb, avoiding his question.
