Chapter 1092 Willingness

After a long time, everything returned to calm.

Daryl sat on the couch, his white shirt unbuttoned, hair a bit messy. He took a cigarette from the pack, lit it with a lighter, and smoked silently, the smoke curling up above his head.

Cecilia sat up from the couch, looking down to straighten her cream-colored cotton dress.

He had been too intense earlier, and her dress was now wrinkled. Cecilia's ponytail was also about to come undone.

After fixing her hair, Cecilia glanced at the clock on the wall. There was still more than an hour before class, so she slowly stood up and said, "I'll go make lunch."

At this moment, Daryl suddenly pulled a thick book out of his briefcase and slammed it onto the coffee table.

"From now on, read this and return that book on your nightstand to Barry!" Daryl's tone was very irritable.

Hearing this, Cecilia suspiciously took two steps forward, bent down, and picked up the book Daryl had thrown on the coffee table. It turned out to be a hardcover copy of "One Hundred Years of Solitude," identical to the one Barry had lent her.

Cecilia knew it couldn't be bought anywhere in Northstar City. She had no idea who Daryl had asked to bring it to Northstar City.

At this moment, Cecilia looked up and saw Daryl sitting on the couch, his face livid, furiously puffing on his cigarette.

Daryl seemed genuinely jealous. Although his expression was unpleasant and his tone unfriendly, Cecilia felt a flutter of excitement in her heart.

"Did you hear what I said?" Seeing Cecilia remain silent for a long time, Daryl angrily stubbed out his cigarette in the ashtray.

He stubbed it out so forcefully, it was as if the cigarette butt was Barry.

Seeing the agitated Daryl, Cecilia tugged at her lips, holding back laughing. She ambiguously said, "I'm afraid I can't return it."

Hearing this, Daryl became even more furious.

The next moment, he stood up and rushed in front of Cecilia, demanding, "Cecilia, you're my woman. How dare you flirt with another man right under my nose? What do you think I am?"

"I didn't." Cecilia was at a loss for words, being accused of flirting with Barry.

"Still denying it? Barry's eyes were practically glued to you. Do you think I'm blind?" Daryl scolded.

"Daryl, can you be reasonable? Barry and I are just normal classmates. Until the one-year period is up, I do belong to you. But does that mean I can't even talk to a man?" Cecilia argued, looking up at Daryl.

This was probably their only argument in recent days.

Lately, Cecilia had been accommodating Daryl in every way, taking care of him like a king.

Meanwhile, Daryl enjoyed this care and was very satisfied with her, naturally not causing her any trouble.

But today, their argument was intense.

"From now on, I forbid you from talking to Barry. Otherwise..." Daryl narrowed his eyes, starting to threaten.

"Otherwise what?" Cecilia frowned and asked.

"I'll break Barry's legs!" Daryl said fiercely.

Hearing this, Cecilia chuckled, "I'm afraid that's not possible."

"What do you mean?" Daryl stared at Cecilia with a puzzled look.

Cecilia glanced at Daryl and replied, "Barry is leaving Northstar City."

Hearing this, Daryl was stunned.

Then, Cecilia explained, "Barry has completed his studies ahead of schedule."

"He's going back to Arcturus?" Hearing this, Daryl's anger subsided.

"He's going to Luminara to be with his mother," Cecilia said.

Hearing this, Daryl frowned and said with disgust, "Luminara doesn't welcome him!"

At this moment, Cecilia suddenly felt that Daryl was very childish.

The next moment, Cecilia said, "He's also from Luminara."

"Why are you defending him?" Daryl said very unhappily.

"I'm just telling the truth," After saying this, Cecilia turned and went into the kitchen.

Daryl was in a bad mood today, so it was best to avoid him.

"Throw away Barry's book!" Daryl shouted again before turning and going into the study.

While cooking pasta, Cecilia shook her head helplessly.

That evening, Cecilia quietly hid the copy that Barry had lent her, hoping to return it to him in person someday.

The new copy that Daryl had bought was placed on the nightstand. Cecilia knew Daryl's temper too well. If he saw Barry's copy again, he might throw it in the trash on the spot.

When Daryl came upstairs that evening and saw the copy he had bought on the nightstand, a smile unconsciously appeared on his lips, and he was in a good mood. That night, he discussed the book's plot with Cecilia until late.

After Barry left, Daryl seemed to be in a good mood all the time.

Cecilia thought to herself, 'Daryl is so jealous.'

In the morning, Daryl came downstairs after washing up.

Cecilia had already set breakfast on the dining table.

"Time to eat," Cecilia called out as she untied the apron from her waist.

Daryl walked up to Cecilia and deliberately handed her his tie.

Every morning now, Daryl would have Cecilia tie his tie for him. Cecilia smiled helplessly and stepped forward to tie it for Daryl.

Cecilia's tie-tying skills had become so proficient that she could quickly tie a neat and beautiful knot in a minute.

As Cecilia focused on tying the tie, Daryl glanced at her and suddenly leaned down to kiss her on the cheek.

"Stop it!" Cecilia glared at Daryl.

Lately, he had been sneaking kisses on her.

"No!" Daryl said, looking down at Cecilia.

At this moment, Cecilia had finished tying the tie. Feeling his large hands grip her waist, Cecilia pulled the tie tight and smiled mischievously.

Daryl coughed twice, choked by the tie.

Instantly, he withdrew his hands and loosened the tie around his neck.

Cecilia, having escaped, smiled and then moved aside, placing a glass of milk in front of Daryl.

"Time to eat!" Cecilia smiled at Daryl and then sat in her seat.

Daryl narrowed his eyes.
