Chapter 947 Leon is Too Reserved

Seeing Leon sit down, Isabella grabbed the fruit platter and grinned. "These apples and grapes are super tasty. Want some?"

"Sure," Leon said, popping a piece of apple into his mouth.

Isabella then picked up a grape and fed it to Leon. "How's that?"

Leon nodded enthusiastically.

Seeing his approval, Isabella grabbed a bunch more grapes and stuffed them into his mouth.

"Whoa, too sour! I can't handle more," Leon said, waving his hand and wincing.

Isabella burst out laughing at his reaction.

Leon, captivated by her laughter, leaned in and planted a kiss on her cheek.

Isabella blushed instantly, lowering her head, too shy to meet Leon's gaze. She couldn't help but wonder if he was staring at her.

They'd been dating for two days now. Shouldn't he be hugging and kissing her by now?

The thought made Isabella's heart race. She loved his warm, strong embrace. On a quiet night like this, it was the perfect time to snuggle up with him.

Just as Isabella was lost in her thoughts, Leon suddenly stood up.

Isabella looked up, puzzled. "It's getting late. You should get some rest. I'm heading out," Leon said.

Isabella frowned, disappointed but too shy to ask him to stay. 'Has he ever been in a relationship? Does he even know what romance is?' she thought, frustrated.

Leon grabbed his car keys and left without another word.

After the door closed, Isabella finally reacted and called out, "Hey."

But Leon was already gone.

That night, Isabella felt really down, hugging a soft pillow with a heavy heart.

For the next few days, Leon was super diligent and responsible.

Every morning, he'd pick Isabella up for work; every evening, he'd pick her up, cook dinner, and do all the chores, staying busy until after eight before heading home.

But what Isabella really wanted was for him to sit on the couch, hold her, watch some TV, and chat.

Leon seemed clueless, always finding an excuse to avoid it.

That night, it was almost nine by the time Leon finished everything.

Just as he was about to say he was leaving, Isabella pulled him onto the couch.

She threw herself into his arms, wrapped her arms around his neck, and pouted, "All you do is chores? Then you leave? Aren't you tired of working all the time?"

Leon gently replied, "Someone's gotta do them, right?"

"I can handle them. You work hard all day and still do this at night. It's too much," Isabella said, concerned.

Isabella wanted to help with the chores, but Leon wouldn't let her, saying her foot hadn't healed and she needed to rest.

"I went through much tougher times when I was young. This little bit of work doesn't tire me at all," Leon said, smiling and stroking her hair.

"Tell me about your childhood. You seem to know how to do everything. Was it tough growing up?" Isabella asked, still holding onto Leon's neck.

Leon frowned a bit and glanced at the clock. "It's getting late. You should get some rest. I'll tell you more another time."

Hearing that he was about to leave again, Isabella tightened her grip on his neck. "No, stay with me a little longer."

In that intimate moment, with Isabella so close, Leon's eyes softened, and he found himself kissing her forehead, cheeks, and finally her lips.

What followed was an inevitable, passionate kiss.

The kiss was both gentle and intense, making Isabella melt in his arms.

This was exactly what Isabella had been craving these past few days—a warm kiss, a warm embrace, and his passion.

Isabella moved from passively receiving his kiss to passionately reciprocating, eventually getting lost in the moment with him.

Even though she didn't have much experience, her passion was enough. Though a bit clumsy, it easily ignited Leon's desire.

The room's temperature rose instantly. Outside, the night was deep, and inside, under the lights, the two were entangled, exploring each other.

Just as Isabella was feeling Leon's passion, his kiss suddenly stopped.

Isabella slowly opened her hazy eyes to see Leon frowning and pushing her away.

"What's wrong?" Isabella asked, confused.

Even though she was a bit conservative, it was normal for couples to be intimate. Besides, this wasn't their first time.

Leon suddenly said, "It's really late. I should go."

With that, he got up and left.

After he left, Isabella was puzzled, thinking, 'Maybe Leon is too reserved, making me seem a bit too forward.'

She couldn't help but cover her face in embarrassment.

Half a month later, at the accounting firm

Susan came out of her office with a document, glanced at the reception area, and frowned. "Where's the receptionist and Maria?"

Isabella, sitting at her desk, looked up and replied, "The receptionist went to get a package, and Maria went to meet a client. Do you need something?"

"I need a copy of this document. I'll do it myself." With that, Susan walked to the copier with the document.

"I'll handle it." Isabella got up, walked to the copier, and took the document from Susan to make a copy.

Susan suddenly noticed Isabella walking over and was stunned.

"Here you go." Isabella handed the copied document to Susan, noticing her surprised look. "Why are you looking at me like that?"

"Is your foot healed?" Susan asked, staring at Isabella's foot.

She remembered seeing Leon push Isabella in a wheelchair this morning. How could Isabella be walking now?

Isabella realized her act of pretending for several days had been exposed. She lowered her head and touched her hair.

"Your foot is already healed, right?" Susan deduced from Isabella's expression.
