Chapter 991 Today is the Ovulation Period
Isabella lay on the hospital bed, her hair still damp and her face pale, but she had a happy smile playing on her lips.
Leon leaned over, holding her hand with one of his and gently touching her forehead with the other. His eyes were filled with excitement and tenderness. "Isabella, thank you for giving me such a beautiful baby."
He then kissed the back of her hand.
Isabella gave a weak smile. "You deserve half the credit. I couldn't have done it without you, right?"
Leon chuckled and placed her hand on his cheek. "Yeah, you're right."
"Where's Milo? I want to see him," Isabella said, her voice filled with the joy of a new mom.
"He just finished his bath. The nanny is dressing him. He'll be here soon," Leon replied softly.
"I can't wait. Does he look like you or me?" Isabella asked eagerly.
Leon frowned slightly. "He looks like you. This time, I won't argue."
Isabella smiled. "You know you can't win this one."
Just then, Susan walked in with the nanny holding Milo.
"Here's the baby!" Susan said, smiling as she approached the bed.
Despite her weakness, Isabella struggled to sit up. The nanny brought Milo over.
Isabella took a close look at Milo and frowned. "Why does he have so little hair?"
"All babies are like that. It'll grow," Kathy said knowingly from the side.
Isabella touched her own face and smiled. "Looks like his face and eyes are a lot like mine."
"As long as he inherits my brains, that's all that matters," Leon chimed in.
Isabella playfully pushed Leon. "Are you saying I'm not smart?"
"Hey, you said it, not me," Leon joked, his eyes full of love for both Isabella and Milo.
Isabella rolled her eyes at Leon, then reached out to touch Milo's little cheek and smiled. "So cute!"
Susan stepped forward. "Alright, that's enough for now. You'll have plenty of time to look at him later. You need to rest!"
"Yeah, lie down," Kathy urged.
Leon helped Isabella lie back down before turning to Kathy. "Kathy, what else should we know about taking care of new moms? I have no clue. Please, tell me everything."
"New moms shouldn't touch cold water, eat cold foods, or bathe and wash their hair for a while. They need to drink nutritious soups to help with milk production," Kathy explained in detail.
Afraid he'd forget, Leon took out a notebook and wrote everything down.
Isabella had never seen Leon so serious before. She smiled, feeling her heart warm.
Susan gently patted Isabella's hand and whispered, "Didn't I tell you? Leon is a man worth spending your life with."
Isabella smiled, her face glowing with happiness, but she was too exhausted and closed her eyes.
Seeing that Isabella was tired, Susan gently led everyone out of the room.
Seb looked down at Susan, who was holding his arm, and said, "Leon is over the moon about being a dad."
Susan rolled her eyes. "You weren't that excited when I had our baby, were you?"
"You just didn't see it. Next time, I'll make sure you do," Seb quickly backtracked.
"Leon is such a good guy. Look how attentive he is to Isabella!" Susan sighed.
"Can you stop praising other people's husbands? Your husband is pretty great too," Seb protested.
"Really? I hadn't noticed," Susan said, raising an eyebrow and scrutinizing Seb.
Seb yawned. "We've been up all night. Let's go home and get some sleep."
"No! I'm not tired at all," Susan shook her head.
Seb leaned in and whispered, "It's your ovulation period. We should make the most of it, or we'll have to wait until next month."
Susan blushed and pushed him. "Stop it. When did I agree to have another baby with you?"
Seb glanced around the hospital corridor and whispered, "Let's discuss this in bed at home."
With that, he grabbed Susan's wrist and started walking.
"I haven't had breakfast yet. I want to eat something!" Susan tried to resist.
Seb turned back and said casually, "We'll eat at home!"
With no other choice, Susan followed him as he held onto her wrist.
In the following days, Leon stayed by Isabella and Milo's side every moment, carefully taking care of them.
With him and Milo around, Isabella felt very happy. Looking at newborn Milo, she chose to forget future uncertainties and just enjoy the joy he brought her now.
That afternoon, all of Isabella and Milo's indicators were normal, and Leon completed the discharge procedures for them.
As Leon and the others were about to leave, two men in black suits suddenly walked in.
"What are you doing here?" Leon asked, clearly displeased at the sight of them.
Sitting by the bed, Isabella, wearing a hat, immediately recognized the two men in black suits as Zane's people.
One of the men stepped forward and respectfully said, "Mr. Leon Johnson, Mr. Zane Johnson has prepared many things for your kid and specifically instructed us to deliver them. Please accept them, or we won't be able to explain ourselves when we return."
Leon coldly replied, "Whether you can explain yourselves or not is none of my business. Move aside, we're leaving!"
At this moment, several people carrying various boxes were already standing at the door, completely blocking the exit. Leon and the others couldn't get out.
Leon finally lost his temper. "Didn't you hear me? Get them to move out of the way!"
Leon's voice was loud, and Isabella couldn't help but frown.
However, the two men in black suits and the people carrying the boxes at the door remained still, heads bowed.
Seeing this, Leon's eyes grew colder, and he was about to lose his temper.
Isabella softly called out to him, "Leon!"
"What is it?" Hearing Isabella's call, Leon quickly walked over to the bed.
