Chapter 1265 Honeymoon

Seeing Cecilia smile, Daryl finally breathed a sigh of relief.

He reached out and pulled Cecilia into his arms, resting his chin on her forehead. In a low voice, he said, "I'm sorry you had to go through that."

Hearing this, Cecilia pressed her face against Daryl's chest, listening to the strong, steady beat of his heart. Softly, she replied, "There's nothing to be sorry about. Being with you is my greatest happiness. As for your mom, I believe that if I treat her like my own mother, one day, she'll change her opinion of me."

Daryl was deeply moved by her words. He gently stroked Cecilia's back and said, "Hearing you say that really touches me."

"Of course, you must have done something great in your past life to deserve this!" Cecilia lifted her head and smiled.

"So I should enjoy the blessings life has given me," Daryl said, flipping Cecilia onto the soft mattress.

"What are you doing? Stop it! Mom said I shouldn't seduce you," Cecilia protested.

"Mom said you shouldn't seduce me, but she didn't say I couldn't seduce you," Daryl replied with a mischievous grin.

The lights went out, and everything was perfect.

The next morning, Cecilia and Daryl were on a plane.

"We're going to Rivercrest?" Cecilia asked in surprise.

It wasn't until they were on the plane that Daryl revealed he was taking Cecilia to Rivercrest for their honeymoon.

"You don't like it?" Daryl raised an eyebrow.

"No, I thought you were taking me abroad," Cecilia laughed.

Then she held Daryl's hand and said, "As long as I'm with you, anywhere is perfect!"

Hearing this, Daryl's lips curved into a smile. "I want to take you to Maplewood Grove. The scenery there is beautiful, and I think you'll love it."

"Maplewood Grove?" Cecilia's eyes widened.

"Yes," Daryl nodded.

Maplewood Grove was indeed beautiful and full of enchanting legends. Cecilia had always wanted to visit but never had the chance.

The next moment, Cecilia narrowed her eyes and pouted at Daryl. "I get it. You want to run into a pretty Maplewood woman, don't you? Looking for a little adventure?"

Daryl couldn't help but laugh.

Then he pinched Cecilia's nose. "Can't you think better of me?"

Cecilia smiled. "Who doesn't want a little romance?"

"Having you is enough romance for me. My mom already worries you'll drain all my energy. If I had another romance, I'd be done for," Daryl teased.

"Good that you know!" Cecilia said, lifting her chin.

They chatted and joked all the way, their journey filled with lighthearted laughter.

Their honeymoon was indeed sweet. After getting off the plane, Daryl and Cecilia checked into a five-star hotel.

Standing at the front desk, the receptionist handed them two key cards with a smile. "Mr. Fields, Mrs. Fields, have a wonderful stay!"

Daryl took the cards and said, "Thank you!"

"Let's go," Daryl said, taking Cecilia's hand and heading to the elevator.

In the elevator, Cecilia giggled to herself.

"What are you laughing at?" Daryl asked, ruffling her hair.

"The receptionist called me Mrs. Fields. I'm not used to it," Cecilia laughed.

It was the first time someone called her "Mrs. Fields," and she felt both excited and shy, unsure how to respond.

Being Daryl's wife had always been her dream, but now that it was real, she felt a bit overwhelmed.

Hearing this, Daryl smiled. "Soon, more people will call you Mrs. Fields, and you'll get used to it."

Cecilia smiled.

The elevator doors opened.

Daryl wrapped his arm around Cecilia's shoulders and asked, "How does it feel to be Mrs. Fields?"

Cecilia looked up at him and replied, "Not much different."

Daryl's lips curved into a smile. He leaned down and whispered in her ear, "You'll feel it soon enough."

Seeing the mischievous glint in his eyes, Cecilia playfully slapped his chest. "You're impossible!"

At that moment, a bellhop opened their room door.

Daryl stepped in first, followed by Cecilia. He quickly closed the door and pressed Cecilia against it.

Cecilia was momentarily stunned before his passionate kiss took her breath away.

After a long, intense kiss, Daryl pulled back, his voice husky. "Do you feel it now?"

"You're such a rogue!" Cecilia frowned and pushed Daryl away, walking into the room.

The room was spacious, a luxurious suite with large windows offering a panoramic view of Rivercrest.

Cecilia stood by the window, admiring the night view of Rivercrest.

Behind her, Daryl wrapped his arms around her waist, leaving a trail of kisses on her neck.

"Stop it, will you?" Cecilia giggled, feeling ticklish.

But Daryl's voice carried a hint of complaint. "You didn't let me have fun on our wedding night, and now on our honeymoon, you still won't let me. When will you let me?"

Hearing this, Cecilia couldn't help but laugh.

Last night, she hadn't escaped his grasp, but she had made him stop at a reasonable point. However, he was in his prime, and they were newlyweds. If she kept pushing him away, it would be unreasonable. Besides, without Azalea's warnings and watchful eyes, they could relax a bit more.

Seeing her smile, Daryl scooped Cecilia up in his arms.

"Hey, what are you doing?" Cecilia exclaimed, wrapping her arms around his neck as her head spun from being lifted.

"You know exactly what," Daryl said, giving her a loving look before carrying her to the bedroom.

He gently laid her on the soft bed, and they lost themselves in each other.

This time, Cecilia was more than willing. She felt like a feather, lifted by a strong breeze into the sky, dancing with the clouds.

Afterward, Cecilia rested her hand on Daryl's chest, pouting. "I'm so hungry."

"Hungry? Let's go find something to eat," Daryl said, sitting up quickly.

"Okay," Cecilia said, quickly getting dressed and heading out with Daryl.

Arm in arm, they strolled through the streets of Rivercrest, sampling the local cuisine. They didn't have a care in the world, truly enjoying their honeymoon.
