Chapter 442 Acting Cute

Hearing Hayden's words from behind, Seb and Susan shot each other a look, and Susan strolled over to grill him. "Hayden, what do you know about flirting?"

"It's when guys and girls mess around, right?" Hayden replied, eyes wide and innocent.

"Who taught you that?" Susan was floored that Hayden, not even five, knew such a word.

"I heard Daddy say it once!" Hayden pointed straight at Seb.

Seb felt wronged and said, "When did I ever say that?"

"It was one time when I was about to fall asleep, and you whispered it in Mommy's ear, but I heard it." Hayden looked up, dead serious.

Seb and Susan exchanged glances. They had mentioned that word a few days ago, but they didn't expect the little guy to catch it. Susan felt super annoyed in front of her son.

Susan walked up and gently patted Hayden's head, saying, "Hayden, you're still a kid. You shouldn't use words like that, got it?"

"Oh." Hayden nodded, kinda getting it.

"Alright, you keep drawing. Daddy and Mommy are heading out." Susan grabbed Seb's arm, her face a bit flushed, and walked to the foyer.

"Be more careful in front of the kid, okay?" Susan quickly warned as Seb was changing his shoes.

Seb, however, didn't take it seriously. While changing his shoes, he laughed and said, "Boys should be a little mischievous; that's how they'll be loved by women in the future."

"Hayden will be spoiled by you sooner or later." Susan turned and walked away.

Seb's eyes suddenly caught sight of Susan's back, and his expression instantly darkened.

"Stop!" Seb shouted.

Susan immediately stopped, turned around, and looked at Seb, whose face had turned grim, and asked with a frown, "What's wrong?"

"What are you wearing today?" Seb stared at Susan's dress with disdain.

Susan looked down at her clothes, puzzled, and said, "Didn't you just say it looked good? Isabella and I bought it after work yesterday. To not embarrass you, I bought a limited edition this time. They said there are only two in all of Maple Valley, and it cost tens of thousands of dollars. What's wrong? Are you unwilling to spend that much?"

"I knew it must be that crazy Isabella who urged you to buy this dress. Go change it immediately!" Seb said with disgust.

"What does this have to do with Isabella? I chose it myself. What's wrong with it?" Susan swayed in front of the foyer's mirror, talking to herself.

Seb glanced at Susan's back. The dress revealed most of Susan's back, white as jade with curves, under the black pearlescent fabric. It was truly beautiful and the highlight of the dress's design.

To be honest, Susan was a bit hesitant initially, but she couldn't resist Isabella and the saleslady's repeated recommendations. Plus, she felt it looked good on her. It wasn't a big backless dress, just showing half of her back, which she could accept.

She didn't expect Seb to be so petty, getting so angry over this dress.

"Go change it now, did you hear me?" Seeing her standing there motionless, Seb's face turned sour.

For this petty man, Susan could only take his arm and coax him, "This dress is already super conservative. Lots of evening gowns show this much. If it's too covered up, it wouldn't even be called an evening gown, right?"

As she spoke, Susan gestured towards her chest.

"If you dare to wear something more revealing, you can forget about going out ever again!" Seb snorted coldly.

"That's why I didn't dare to buy them." Susan laughed cheekily.

Just then, Leon, who had been waiting outside, walked in.

"Mr. Anderson, if we don't leave now, we'll definitely be late," Leon reminded with a bow.

Seb hesitated for a moment, and Susan quickly said to Leon, "We're leaving right now!"

"I'll wait outside then." Leon noticed Seb's displeased expression and retreated appropriately.

After Leon left, Susan quickly hugged Seb's arm, looking at him with a flattering gaze. "If we don't leave now, we'll be late. Going upstairs to change will take at least another half hour. Didn't you say there would be a lot of business big shots? Even though you're a big deal in Maple Valley's business world, you're still young, a junior. If we show up late, people will definitely think you're arrogant and disrespectful. Don't you think so? Besides, I don't have any other suitable clothes. I can't go in casual wear, right?"

After talking for a while and seeing no reaction from him, Susan had to shake his arm.

At this moment, Seb pursed his lips and finally spoke, "Your ability to act cute has improved a lot recently!"

After saying that, Seb walked out of the foyer.

Susan quickly followed behind. "Really? I think so too."

Just after saying this, Seb immediately stopped, and Susan quickly halted as well, almost bumping into his back.

The next moment, Seb turned around and warned Susan, "Don't get too complacent. Not every time you act cute will I give in. I am a man of principles!"

"Of course, I understand that." Susan continued to act cute, nodding with a smile.

"Let's go." Seeing her good attitude, Seb's expression softened a bit, and he turned to leave the villa.

Following behind, Susan pouted at Seb's back.

After observing these days, Susan found that Seb responded better to softness than to toughness. So she learned to be smart. When he didn't give in, she would act cute and say soft words, which always worked. Acting cute gradually became her trump card, always effective.

Soon, the car stopped at the entrance of the Hilton Hotel, where the evening party was held.

A uniformed doorman stepped forward and opened the back door of the car. Seb and Susan got out one after the other, and Leon drove the car away.

Susan took Seb's arm and walked into the Hilton Hotel lobby.

"Do you remember this place?" As soon as they entered the lobby, Seb looked at the huge crystal chandelier and said.

Hearing this, Susan was stunned.

Turning her head, she saw his eyes shining brightly under the light, with a playful smile in his gaze.

At this moment, Susan immediately remembered that the Hilton Hotel was where they stayed the night they first met.
