Chapter 770 We Are Still a Family

"Yes," Hayden immediately replied loudly.

Susan rubbed her head, troubled, and said, "I really can't handle you two."

"Of course," Seb said smugly, then lowered his head and gave Spring a big kiss on the cheek.

Spring immediately covered her chubby little face with her small hands and said, "Daddy, your beard is prickly and it hurts!"

"Haha, I didn't shave today," Seb laughed heartily while holding Spring.

At this moment, Hayden stepped forward to pull Spring and said, "Spring, don't let other men kiss you; their beards will hurt you."

"Got it," Spring nodded, somewhat understanding.

Susan covered her face, feeling both amused and exasperated.

'This is the simplest form of happiness. No matter where you are or what you go through, as long as the family is together and happy, all other unpleasantness becomes insignificant.' she thought.

At this moment, Seb's phone suddenly received a text message.

Seb put down Spring, took out his phone, and frowned.

"What's wrong?" Susan noticed Seb's facial expression.

"It's Cecilia," he said. "I told her she didn't need to come today, but she says she's free and wants to tutor the kids this afternoon."

Hearing this, Susan smiled and said, "Cecilia is very dedicated."

"She can come if she wants. I'm going out to meet friends and probably won't be back for dinner," Seb said.

"Drink less," Susan said, taking his coat and helping him put it on, then seeing him to the foyer.

At the foyer, with just the two of them, Seb put his arm around Susan's waist and said with a smile, "Yes, ma'am!"

"Don't joke around; I'm serious," Susan warned, trying to keep a straight face.

"I'm serious too," Seb's expression suddenly became very serious.

Seeing Seb like this, Susan gave him a light punch on the shoulder.

Seb looked at Susan, then lowered his head and kissed her cheek, deliberately rubbing his chin against her soft face.

"What are you doing?" Susan, like Spring, was pricked by his beard.

Seeing Susan's shy expression, Seb didn't want to let her go.

Then he suddenly whispered in her ear, "Remember what Hayden said, only let your man kiss you!"

Hearing this, Susan smiled and whispered back in his ear, "You should also remember what Hayden said, only kiss your woman!"

"I'll definitely follow Hayden's advice. Tonight, I'll kiss you enough," Seb whispered in her ear again.

"Alright, go quickly, don't keep your friends waiting," Susan blushed and pushed Seb out the door.

He made a show of reluctance, his hand lingering on her waist. "I let you off the hook last night, but tonight, we're practicing our yoga. Can't let ourselves get rusty."

"Are you done? Go quickly!" Seeing him start to ramble, Susan mercilessly pushed him out the door.

After pushing Seb out, Susan immediately closed the glass door.

The two looked at each other through the glass, their eyes filled with sweetness.

"How could there be a woman like you, pushing her man away!" Seb muttered with a smile.

"Bye-bye!" Susan waved at him.

Seb shook his head with a smile and walked out of the yard.

Susan watched Seb's car leave before going back inside.

At two o'clock in the afternoon, Cecilia arrived at the villa on time.

Out of courtesy, Susan stood at the foyer to greet her.

"Ms. Wilson, hello!" Cecilia greeted Susan politely.

Susan noticed a bandage on Cecilia's forehead. She didn't look as radiant as before but had a touch of weariness that made one feel sorry for her.

"Miss Thorne, how's your injury?" Susan asked, her tone laced with genuine concern.

Cecilia touched her forehead and smiled, saying, "It's just a scratch, nothing serious. But Mr. Anderson insisted on taking me to the doctor. The doctor said it was just a superficial wound, and only then did he feel relieved. He also said I was shocked, so he stayed with me for dinner last night before taking me home. Because of me, he couldn't come back to have dinner with Hayden and Spring. I'm really sorry!"

Seeing Cecilia's smiling face, Susan felt that her words were not so simple.

It was uncharacteristic of Cecilia to share so much, and it felt deliberate.

Susan was not a fool and naturally understood the signal Cecilia was trying to send.

Her message was clear: Seb cared a lot about her and valued her, even forgetting to have dinner with Hayden and Spring because of her. She wanted Susan to understand that Seb seemed to have feelings for her.

Susan, being ten years older than Cecilia, found her little schemes somewhat immature.

Next, Susan smiled and said, "Teaching is the profession Seb respects the most. He is a person who respects teachers, and you are our children's teacher. Everything he did was appropriate."

At this moment, although both Susan and Cecilia were smiling, the atmosphere was a bit tense, as their eyes were cold.

Next, Cecilia suddenly said, "Ms. Wilson, I heard from Hayden that you and Mr. Anderson are no longer married, is that true?"

Seeing her bring it up directly, Susan stopped smiling and replied, "We have completed the divorce procedures."

"So, you came to Aelistania for a vacation together for Hayden and Spring's sake? Many divorced parents do that, pretending to be a family for the children's healthy growth," Cecilia said with obvious sarcasm, but her face still wore a warm smile.

Witnessing the disdain and sarcasm on Cecilia's face, Susan calmly said, "My relationship with Seb is not something a marriage certificate can define. We are still a family!"

Then, Susan looked at her watch and said with a smlie, "Miss Thorne, it's now 2:03 PM. The children's lesson is about to start. Perhaps we should focus on that, don't you think?"
