Chapter 775 Jealousy
Seb's eyes narrowed as he looked at Cecilia, who was now buttoning her blouse with shaking hands. "I'm not insulting you, Cecilia," he said, his voice low and controlled. "But you should have more respect for yourself."
Cecilia sneered. "I really don't get it. Susan is so much older, what do you still like about her? Is it the kids? Because I can give you kids too, you know."
"Plenty of women would love to have my kids," Seb said, his voice turning icy. "But only one woman gets to. And that's my wife. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have a family waiting for me at home." He turned to leave.
"Seb, you're going too far!" Cecilia glared at Seb's back, cursing through gritted teeth.
Seb paused but didn't look back at Cecilia. He simply said, "If you have any more issues, call my driver. Here's his card; I don't want to see you again!"
He then pulled a business card from his coat pocket, placed it on the bed by the door, and walked out of the ward.
Furious, Cecilia grabbed a glass from the table and smashed it on the floor!
She stomped her foot in her slippers, and a shard of glass pierced through, causing her to cry out in pain as she sat on the edge of the bed.
Looking down at her foot, Cecilia saw a piece of glass embedded in her skin and felt a wave of regret.
Susan was walking towards the hospital entrance while dialing Seb's phone.
The phone rang twice before Seb answered.
"Have you been waiting long? I'm on my way back..." Seb answered with a smile.
The coldness in his eyes had already softened, and the anger on his face had disappeared.
Susan interrupted him, "Hurry up and come out; I'm waiting for you at the hospital entrance. It's freezing out here!"
Hearing this, Seb quickened his pace. "Why did you come?"
"You've been out for hours. If I hadn't come to find you, I might have lost you," Susan said in a teasing tone.
"I'm like a remote-controlled car; no matter how far I go, the remote is still in your hand," Seb laughed.
"Your mouth is getting slicker!" Susan laughed.
As she looked up, she saw a tall figure hurrying towards her.
Seeing him, Susan smiled and hung up the phone.
The next moment, Seb was in front of Susan, wrapping his arm around her shoulders and pulling her into his embrace. "It's so late; why did you come here?"
"I was afraid some charming woman would steal you away, so I didn't care if it was night or day," Susan said, deliberately pouting.
Hearing this, Seb laughed and said, "No charming woman has been born yet who can steal me away!"
"Such arrogance!" Susan rolled her eyes at Seb.
At this moment, the driver had already opened the back door.
Seb, holding Susan, said, "It's too cold; let's get in the car."
"Okay." Susan nodded and got in the car first, followed by Seb.
Because of the snow on the road, the car moved slowly.
Seb held Susan's hand the entire time, and Susan's lips curled into a smile.
"Hey, why don't you ask me why I stayed at the hospital for so long?" Seb asked after a while.
Susan glanced at Seb and said, "With a stunning beauty in the hospital, if I didn't come, you might not have come back until morning."
"Bullshit!" Seb frowned.
Susan looked up to see him staring at her seriously.
She was just joking, so why was he taking it so seriously?
The next moment, Seb grabbed Susan's shoulders and said seriously, "I don't want you to joke about this!"
"I'm not joking," Susan mumbled.
Seb looked deeply into Susan's eyes and explained, "I've made things clear with Cecilia. She won't be Hayden and Spring's tutor anymore. I've already found someone new, and the new teacher will start this weekend. I won't see Cecilia again because not only do I not like her, but I also find her very annoying now!"
Susan pretended not to know what had happened and smiled as she asked, "Why do you suddenly dislike her? Did she upset you?"
Susan felt a bit mischievous for playing dumb.
Sure enough, Seb's lips twitched, and he was momentarily speechless.
Seeing his awkwardness, Susan lowered her head and laughed.
Seeing Susan laughing so hard, her shoulders shook, and Seb frowned. "Why do I feel like your laugh is strange?"
"What's strange about it? Can't I laugh?" Susan couldn't help but laugh.
"Something feels off," Seb muttered to himself, then suddenly asked, "Did you see something?"
"What could I have seen?" Susan avoided Seb's gaze; she had indeed seen Cecilia's back earlier.
"No, you're definitely hiding something. Spill it, or else..." Seb's eyes flashed with a hint of threat.
"What can you do to me?" Susan raised her chin, showing no fear. She thought, 'I won't be intimidated by you!'
Seb's lips curled into a mischievous smile, and he whispered in her ear, "If you don't tell me, I'll pounce on you right here!"
He glanced at the spacious back seat and whispered, "This back seat is big enough to be a bed."
Seeing the dangerous glint in his eyes, Susan immediately hugged herself and warned, "Don't you dare!"
"Spill it, what's going on!" Seb's voice was low but firm.
Seeing this, Susan knew she couldn't hide it from him, but it wasn't a big deal anyway. After all, it wasn't her who was embarrassed.
The next moment, Susan looked into Seb's eyes and said with a smile, "Cecilia has a great figure, doesn't she?"
Hearing this, Seb frowned and stared intently at Susan.
