Chapter 883 Never Separated for a Moment
Reuniting after a short break made everything feel extra sweet. Susan was soaking up every moment of having the whole family together.
One morning, Susan was in her pajamas, brushing her teeth at the sink, when she felt a pair of arms wrap around her waist.
She glanced up and saw Seb in the mirror, looking all sleepy-eyed as he hugged her from behind and planted soft kisses on her neck.
Lately, he'd been super clingy, but Susan didn't mind one bit. She loved having him around all the time.
They did everything together: eating, grocery shopping, evening walks, playing with Hayden and Spring, watching TV, and of course, sleeping. It was perfect.
Just thinking about how great these days were made Susan smile like a goof.
Seb's kisses tickled, making Susan squirm. She nudged him with her butt while still brushing her teeth.
Seb, grinning like a mischievous kid, nudged her back. Susan yelped, then turned and smeared toothpaste foam all over his face.
Seb wiped it off, looking all grossed out.
Seeing him like that made Susan burst into laughter.
Seb pointed at her, giving her a playful warning look before heading out of the bathroom.
Susan watched him go, still smiling.
After finishing up, Susan stepped out of the bathroom, only to be tackled onto the bed.
She screamed as she landed on the soft mattress, and Seb's big frame pinned her down.
"What are you doing?" she protested, pushing at his chest.
But Seb grabbed her wrists, pinning them above her head.
With a wicked grin, he said, "Time for some payback, don't you think?"
His smile was so devilish that Susan immediately started pleading. "I didn't mean to do it!"
"Too late for that!" Seb smirked and started nuzzling her neck.
Susan was so ticklish she could barely stand it, tears almost coming out as she begged for mercy. But Seb just kept going, making her laugh uncontrollably.
"Stop it! Hayden and Spring are waiting for us to come down for breakfast!" she finally managed to say, using the kids as an excuse.
"Will you ambush me again?" Seb asked, looking down at her.
"You started it!" Susan shot back.
"Still arguing?" Seb's eyes gleamed wickedly.
Recognizing that look, Susan quickly said, "I won't do it again, I promise!"
Seeing her give in, Seb nodded, squinted his eyes, and pressed his full weight onto her.
Feeling his hands start to wander her body, Susan began to pant. "What are you doing? Stop!"
But Seb just ignored her weak protests.
"Stop it, I promised Cecilia I'd go with Isabella for her prenatal checkup," Susan said, feeling a bit helpless.
Hearing this, Seb reluctantly kissed her cheek and said, "Alright, I'll let you go this time. But come back quick, okay?"
Seb let her go, and Susan nodded happily. "Got it!"
Since he came to Northstar City, they hadn't been apart for even a moment. Even though it was just half a day for the checkup, Susan still felt a bit reluctant.
Standing by the bed, she looked at Seb lying there with gentle eyes, unable to move her feet.
"What's wrong?" Seb asked, frowning at her hesitation.
The next moment, Susan stepped forward, squatted by the bed, rested her head on his chest, and murmured, "What should I do? I don't want to leave you for even a moment."
Seb smiled, stroking her head. "Then never leave me again."
"I'm just afraid you'll get tired of being with me," Susan said playfully, looking up at him in his gray striped pajamas.
Seb's eyes flashed, and he wrapped an arm around her waist, trying to pull her onto the bed.
"What are you doing?" Susan quickly resisted, realizing his intention.
"I'll never get tired of being with you. Let Cecilia accompany Isabella for the checkup, okay?" Seb said, pressing her against his chest.
Susan pushed against him, refusing. "No way! I already promised Isabella, and we planned to have lunch outside!"
"What? Lunch outside too? I absolutely can't agree to that!" Seb suddenly hugged her waist tightly, like a child.
Susan was at her wit's end, quickly stroking his head and coaxing, "Be good, okay? I can't break my promise. I'll come back early after lunch. You can spend the morning at home with Hayden and Spring; they love playing with you the most."
"How will you make it up to me?" Seb suddenly leaned his face closer.
Seeing this, Susan could only smile and give him a kiss on the cheek. "Is that enough?"
"No!" Seb insisted.
Susan had no choice but to give him a lingering kiss.
The kiss almost made them lose control, so Susan quickly stopped, patted Seb's head, and grabbed her bag to leave.
Isabella's pregnancy was going well, and the checkup was normal. At noon, the three women had a big meal outside.
Among the three women, only Susan's face was filled with happiness. Isabella would have become a single mother, and Cecilia was also suffering in her relationship.
Although Susan was in a good mood, she was very mindful of her words and actions, afraid of making Isabella and Cecilia feel bad.
After lunch, Cecilia went home, and Susan and Isabella returned to the villa.
Entering the house, Susan saw that Isabella was tired and told her to go rest in her room.
Susan asked Kathy, "Kathy, where are Hayden and Spring?"
"They're taking a nap," Kathy replied.
Susan nodded and was about to go upstairs.
Unexpectedly, Kathy quietly said to Susan, "Mrs. Anderson, Mr. Anderson seems to be in a bad mood."
