Chapter 343 Scorching Gaze

Seeing Susan barge in outta nowhere, Seb was totally caught off guard.

Susan's eyes landed on his ripped upper body, and she felt a shiver run down her spine. Plus, Seb's belt was already undone, showing off a peek of those leopard-print briefs, making her frown without even thinking.

Those briefs? Yeah, she bought 'em for him ages ago. Back then, she thought leopard print screamed wild and manly, so she got them as a joke. Seb always refused to wear 'em, but now, after all this time apart, she was shocked to see he still had 'em on.

Noticing Susan's eyes glued to his body, Seb's gaze darkened, and he asked in a rough voice, "Enjoying the view?"

Susan snapped out of it, blushing hard, and quickly turned away, grumbling, "Why didn't you lock the door while changing?"

"I'm in my own room, changing. You're the one barging in without knocking, alright?" Seb took a couple of steps forward, standing right behind her.

Hearing his voice so close, Susan spun around and almost crashed into him.

Panicking, she stepped back but ended up bumping into the door!

"Ouch," she yelped, clutching her shoulder and wincing.

Seb moved in closer, placing his hand on the door above her head. His tall frame and the door had her trapped.

With Seb's breath all around her, Susan's heart started racing.

"You looked like a leopardess eyeing her prey just now," Seb murmured, his warm breath tickling her ear.

Susan's ear tingled from his breath. Realizing what he said, she shoved him away, embarrassed and pissed. "I didn't. Get away!"

After yelling at him, she turned to leave.

But Seb grabbed her wrist.

"What do you want?" Susan felt his grip tighten and looked at him, nervous.

She knew moving into Seb's place was a bad idea. She'd only been here for like half an hour, and he was already showing his true colors. How could she be so dumb to trust him? Hadn't she suffered enough because of him?

"What do you want me to do?" Seb's eyes were locked on hers, filled with something she couldn't quite read.

"Seb, I'm warning you. If you try anything, I'm outta here!" Susan said, lifting her chin.

Honestly, Susan knew she was no match for Seb. If he decided to force her, she had no way to fight back.

'Oh no, why do I feel kinda excited instead of scared?' Susan thought.

Maybe it was because she hadn't been with a man for too long? Her face turned red, but she tried to play it cool in front of Seb.

Hearing her, Seb let go of her wrist, then turned to the wardrobe and pulled out a clean white shirt. As he put it on and buttoned it up, he said, "I need your help with something."

Seb's tone was casual, and seeing his serious expression, Susan thought, 'Maybe I was overthinking it. Seb didn't mean anything else.'

What kind of woman didn't Seb have now? No way he'd be into her. She was already thirty and a mom of two. How much charm could she possibly have left?

Sure, Linda wasn't young either, but she hadn't been married or had kids. She was mature and still had that allure. Seb's mind was probably all about Linda now, right?

Thinking about it, Susan felt a pang of jealousy.

By now, Seb had his shirt on and walked up to Susan. He waved his hand in front of her face. "What are you daydreaming about?"

Snapping out of it, Susan quickly replied, "Nothing. What do you need my help with?"

She knew her abilities were limited; what could she possibly help Seb with?

"Here." Seb held out a tie.

Seeing the blue striped tie, Susan frowned. Did Seb want her to tie it for him?

"Can't you do it yourself?" Susan was reluctant.

"I just can't get it right." Seb's tone had a hint of pleading.

Susan rolled her eyes but still didn't take the tie. "But you tie it yourself every day, don't you?"

Seb was getting impatient, and his voice grew louder. "I'm about to go out to clear your name, and you can't even help with this small thing?"

Hearing this, Susan frowned. Though still reluctant, she reached out and took the tie. She stepped forward, lifted her hands, and draped the tie around his neck.

Seb was much taller than Susan, and she was in slippers, so she had to stand on tiptoe to barely reach his neck.

Seb looked down at the petite Susan, deliberately straightening his back and puffing out his chest. Seeing Susan struggle to reach his neck, a mischievous smile played at the corners of his mouth.

Susan was entirely focused on the tie and didn't notice his deliberate actions. Her feet were straining, and after a while, they went numb.

Luckily, Susan was quick with her hands, and soon the tie was done. Finally, seeing the tie was a bit crooked, she made the final adjustment, and Seb secretly lifted his heel.

At this moment, Susan's feet were already at their highest limit. She raised her heels a bit more, but possibly because her feet were starting to go numb, she suddenly slipped and her body toppled to one side!

Seb quickly reached out and caught her waist, holding her tightly in his arms.

Susan's heart was pounding; she thought she was going to fall hard this time.

It was late summer, and although the air conditioning was on, it was still a bit warm. Their bodies touching made the surrounding temperature rise inexplicably.

As soon as Seb touched Susan's skin, he didn't want to let go. He looked at Susan's lips, wanting to kiss them hard, but he restrained the impulse, though he visibly swallowed a gulp of saliva.

After taking a deep breath, Susan felt the warmth of Seb's hand on her waist and frowned.

Looking up, she met Seb's burning gaze, and her heart skipped a beat!

Why were Seb's eyes so scorching? It was as if they could burn her skin.
