Chapter 1212 Don't Mess Around

Daryl sat there with a furrowed brow.

Cecilia glanced around; the surrounding couples seemed to be moved by the film, kissing one another.

He was on pins and needles, loosening his tie with an unnatural expression.

Seeing his expression, she secretly laughed to herself.

Then, she slowly held his hand.

Feeling his hand being held by a warm, small hand, Daryl looked down and saw her hand. He then looked up at her, who was intently watching the big screen, and withdrew his hand, questioning sternly, "Cecilia, what do you mean by this?"

Cecilia turned to see Daryl, who was now visibly furious.

She smiled and said, "I don't mean anything."

Daryl said in a very serious tone, "You have a boyfriend now, and tonight you keep... Do you know that this is morally wrong?"

Cecilia wanted to laugh but held it in, saying, "Who said I have a boyfriend?"

"Didn't you say you were with Barry? I saw you two together in the airport lounge this morning," Daryl said.

Cecilia said expressionlessly, "But Barry and I broke up this afternoon."

Daryl suddenly gaped at her, staring at her for a long time without saying a word.

"What did you say? You broke up with Barry?" Daryl thought he had misheard.

"Yes, I'm single now," Cecilia nodded heavily.

"Why? How can you break up just like that? Is love a joke to you?" Daryl asked.

Cecilia gazed at Daryl and replied, "Because love is not a joke, Barry and I decided to break up. Barry felt that I couldn't fully commit to him, and he didn't want a partner whose heart wasn't in it."

Daryl's eyes burned as he stared at her for a while, then suddenly grabbed her shoulders and asked urgently, "You never had Barry in your heart, did you?"

Hearing his urgent tone, Cecilia lowered her head and smiled. Then she answered, "There's only one person in my heart; there's no room for anyone else!"

His eyes fixed on Cecilia, and a joyful smile appeared on his face. He then asked, "So, does this mean we can be together?"

Seeing his hesitant look, Cecilia said, "Aren't you fluent in several languages? How is it that you can't understand your native language now?"

Daryl frowned and said, "So you've been playing with me all day?"

"I haven't! You didn't ask me," Cecilia said, pretending to be righteous but feeling guilty.

"Looks like I need to teach you a lesson," his eyes were now burning with intensity.

"I..." Cecilia just opened her mouth.

Unexpectedly, Daryl lowered his head and kissed her.

All the words she wanted to say were swallowed back.

The distance between Daryl and Cecilia was reduced to zero.

The story on the big screen continued, and the surrounding couples' kisses were brief, but the most passionate kiss was between Daryl and Cecilia.

Although they were in a movie theater, Cecilia no longer cared about shyness or modesty. She had restrained herself for too long, and they had finally opened their hearts to each other and could be together openly.

She abandoned her usual reserve and kissed him passionately, and he was even more enthusiastic. They completely forgot where they were.

After a long time, Daryl released the nearly suffocating Cecilia.

In the darkness, their eyes met, one gaze burning with intensity, the other filled with tenderness.

Daryl's eyes fixed on Cecilia, his voice slightly hoarse. "Such a big thing, and you kept it from me for so long. You deserve a spanking!"

Cecilia laughed and said, "You have quite a moral compass."

"Of course, I would never touch a woman who has a boyfriend," Daryl laughed.

Then, Cecilia leaned her head on his shoulder, hugging his arm, feeling especially happy at this moment.

Looking down at her, Daryl's lips curled into a satisfied smile, and he asked, "Do we still need to watch the movie?"

"Of course, I think this movie is really good," Cecilia said, looking at the big screen.

Daryl pouted and said, "It's already been half an hour, and you've only watched a few minutes."

"Then I'll watch it seriously from now on," Cecilia laughed.

"Do you think you can still watch it seriously?" Daryl wrapped his arms around her waist and kissed her cheek.

Cecilia covered Daryl's mouth with her hand and laughed, "Don't mess around, focus on the movie."

Daryl had no choice but to nod and laugh, "Okay, focus on the movie."

Despite saying that, he kept making little gestures.

She was either tickled by him or made to laugh.

Her eyes were on the big screen, but her heart was warm and happy. Happiness had come so quickly, it felt like a dream.

After the movie ended, he held her hand as they walked along the river.

The autumn river flowed endlessly, and the cold wind blew on their faces, but she didn't feel cold. Instead, she felt warm because her hand was tightly held in his.

"Why do I feel like I'm dreaming? I can't believe this is real," Daryl said, lifting her hand and kissing the back of it.

Feeling Daryl's warm kiss, Cecilia smiled and said, "I feel like I'm dreaming too. Do you think happiness came too quickly? Will it leave just as quickly?"

Daryl stopped walking, and Cecilia also stopped, looking up at him.

Under the moonlight, Daryl touched Cecilia's cheek and said, "We will be happy forever. Today is just the beginning of our happiness."

Cecilia stepped forward and pressed her face against his chest, nodding heavily.

Holding Cecilia in his arms, Daryl said sincerely, "Do you know how sad I was when I saw you with Barry at the airport? I thought you would never belong to me again."

Cecilia closed her eyes, feeling the heartbeat from his chest, and after a long time, she said, "I also thought I would never be able to let you hold me and kiss me again."
