Chapter 902 Embarrassed

Thinking back to that day, Leon couldn't help but laugh.

He and Isabella were like a couple of squabbling kids. From the get-go, they were always at each other's throats, teasing and mocking, but somehow, they ended up falling for each other.

After that day, Leon and Isabella became sworn enemies. Whenever they crossed paths, they either kept their distance or threw a few sharp words at each other, barely making eye contact.

Their next close encounter was when Leon was Seb's best man, and Isabella was Susan's maid of honor.

Both Leon and Isabella were less than thrilled, but they had no choice. They were Seb and Susan's go-to people, and neither Seb nor Susan wanted to replace them. They had to suck it up; it was just a wedding ceremony that would be over in a few hours.

Seb and Susan's second wedding was a big, fancy affair.

Isabella wore a white lace, low-cut, waist-hugging long dress, with her hair down and a small crown perched on one side of her head. She kept it simple with just a pair of pearl and diamond earrings, which made her look even more elegant.

Leon remembered being stunned when he saw Isabella that day. Unlike the other bridesmaids who went all out, she wore light makeup, and her delicate face was a sight for sore eyes.

Isabella also sneaked a peek at Leon. He was rocking a formal tailcoat, a white shirt, and a matching bow tie, all fitting his tall frame perfectly.

Honestly, Leon looked great in clothes. Even though he was over thirty, he kept himself in shape, with a hint of fitness.

Isabella noticed a bunch of girls hovering around Leon, most of them employees of Prosperity Group.

No surprise there. With Seb off the market, there weren't many wealthy single guys left at Prosperity Group, and Leon was a catch.

Those female employees included high-level and mid-level managers of Prosperity Group, and Leon knew them well, so they chatted and laughed together.

It was just normal socializing, but to Isabella, it was super annoying.

Isabella knew she had a thing for Leon, but she played it cool and even acted like she didn't like him.

She knew Leon wasn't fond of her, so she kept her feelings to herself, not wanting to embarrass herself.

"The ceremony's about to start. Should we head backstage?" Leon walked up to Isabella and asked.

Hearing this, Isabella couldn't help but smirk and sarcastically said, "I thought you were too busy chatting with those pretty ladies to remember your duties!"

After saying that, Isabella shot Leon a disdainful look and headed backstage.

Watching Isabella walk away, Leon was fuming.

The wedding ceremony soon kicked off. Seb and Susan led the way, with Leon and Isabella trailing behind. At first, they ignored each other, but soon they started bickering. Even Seb and Susan noticed, so they toned it down a bit.

Finally, the ceremony wrapped up, and Isabella ended up catching Susan's bouquet in front of everyone.

She looked down at the bouquet in her hands, slowly walked out of the ceremony hall, and frowned. 'They say whoever catches the bouquet is next to get married. But I don't even have a boyfriend, so how's that gonna happen?' she thought.

Isabella's white dress stood out beautifully against the green lawn, as she walked under the clear blue sky and fluffy white clouds.

"Should I congratulate you on getting hitched soon?" A familiar voice suddenly piped up from behind.

Isabella turned around and saw Leon strolling over.

Hearing his sarcastic remark, Isabella shot back, "Thanks!"

Leon smirked and said, "But I wonder if that whole bouquet thing is true. If it's not, don't get your hopes up."

Isabella immediately retorted, "Maybe you should worry about yourself. Aren't you over thirty and still single?"

"Men and women are different. Guys are still a catch at forty, but women at thirty? Not so much. If you don't get married soon, you'll start getting wrinkles!" Leon said.

That was it for Isabella. She was furious and swung the bouquet at Leon.

"You can't win an argument, so you hit me? You're nuts! Stop it, or I'll call the police!" Leon dodged and warned.

Even though Isabella was hitting him hard, Leon wouldn't fight back against a woman. He just kept dodging and warning her.

But Isabella was seeing red, hitting Leon hard with the bouquet until it fell apart, petals scattering everywhere.

Seeing the petals gone, Isabella angrily tossed the bouquet away.

And then, disaster struck. Isabella must have used too much force, and the hook on the back of her low-cut dress came loose, causing the dress to slip.

Isabella looked down and saw her bra exposed. She quickly pulled up her dress.

But in that split second, Leon saw more than he should have.

Isabella nervously looked around. Luckily, no one else seemed to notice.

Leon felt awkward, touching his nose with an uncomfortable expression.

Seeing Leon's awkward look, Isabella immediately demanded, "What did you see just now?"

Leon didn't dare look at her, touched his nose, and replied, "I didn't see anything."

Seeing Leon avoiding her gaze, Isabella got even more furious, thinking he must have seen everything.

Isabella angrily stepped forward and asked, "Did you see it? You're shameless."

Leon, forced to take a couple of steps back, immediately retorted, "You exposed yourself. I just accidentally saw it. How does that make me shameless?"

Hearing Leon admit he saw it, Isabella was on the verge of tears. How could she have made such a mistake? This was beyond embarrassing!
