Chapter 1222 I Disagree
Her palm touched his chest, and she blushed, saying, "What are you doing?"
"Letting you feel my heart," Daryl said, looking down.
"You're so annoying!" Cecilia pouted and cursed.
He looked down at her, gently tucking a strand of hair behind her ear.
Feeling his tenderness, her heart warmed like a spring.
Then, she glanced at the clothes they bought today on the sofa and asked with a smile, "By the way, do you think I look better in the white one or the black one?"
He hugged her waist and replied, "Both look good."
"Then I'll wear the black one for the annual party. Black should be more elegant, right?" Cecilia thought for a moment and said.
"No, you should wear the white one for the annual party," Daryl shook his head.
"Why?" Cecilia asked with a smile.
Daryl smiled and said, "Actually, you look more charming in the black one than the white one, but the black one is too sexy. The white one is elegant. Your sexiness is for me to appreciate, and your elegance can be appreciated by others!"
Cecilia couldn't help but laugh, "You're so petty!"
Although she said this, she felt very pleased inside. She saw a strong sense of possessiveness in his eyes.
"If a man isn't petty about this, he doesn't truly love the woman," Daryl said confidently.
She knew that he could always argue his way out, so she said, "Alright, I'll wear the white one, okay?"
"You can wear the black one for me to appreciate later," Daryl suddenly whispered in her ear.
Hearing his seductive voice, she blushed and nodded.
Because this dress was destined to be appreciated by him alone.
Then, he kissed her cheek.
Cecilia quickly pushed him away and said, "Alright, let's eat quickly, or the steak will get cold!"
His lips curved into a smile, and he whispered in her ear, "Alright, we'll have steak tonight, and save making love for our wedding night."
Her face turned even redder. She quickly pushed him away and turned to set the table for him.
Daryl always managed to stir her emotions, making her feel at a loss.
Then, they sat at the dining table.
"I don't even know what to eat first. These dishes and the steak look so exquisite," Daryl said, holding a knife and fork, hesitating.
Seeing his indecision, Cecilia said, "Start with the steak."
Daryl smiled and was about to cut into the steak.
But at that moment, the phone on the coffee table rang urgently.
Hearing the phone ring, Daryl put the steak back on the plate and apologized, "I need to take this call."
"Okay," Cecilia nodded slightly.
Daryl picked up the phone, looked at the flashing screen, and said, "It's my mom calling."
Cecilia pursed her lips uncomfortably.
Actually, during the time she had reconciled with Daryl, Cecilia had been a bit worried. Their family backgrounds were very different, and she didn't know if his mother would approve of their relationship.
Especially since Daryl had been talking about marriage lately. She had met some wealthy wives, and they were very particular about matching family backgrounds and strong alliances in their children's marriages, so Cecilia felt very uneasy.
Daryl answered the phone. "Mom, what's up?"
"Daryl, where are you?" Azalea's voice came from the other end.
Daryl glanced at Cecilia sitting at the dining table, hesitated for a moment, and then replied, "Mom, I'm having dinner with a friend."
Azalea said, "Daryl, have dinner another time. There's an emergency at home. Come back immediately!"
Hearing her indisputable tone, Daryl frowned and asked, "Mom, what's wrong? Is Dad not feeling well?"
Cecilia saw Daryl's face instantly become serious.
"Don't ask, just come back quickly," Azalea said and then hung up.
Daryl frowned.
Cecilia quickly asked, "Is there an emergency? You should go back quickly."
"I'm sorry, you have dinner by yourself," Daryl apologized.
"Go quickly, and be careful on the road!" Cecilia urged him out the door.
Watching his car leave from the window, Cecilia sat weakly at the dining table, looking at the dishes and steak, frowning.
Daryl rushed back to the Fields Villa.
As soon as he entered, he saw Azalea sitting on the sofa waiting for him.
Daryl quickly walked over and asked, "Mom, is Dad not feeling well? What about Elijah? Didn't you call him back?"
Azalea looked at him and said, "Your dad is out with old friends, and Elijah won't come back unless you call him."
Daryl frowned and asked, "Mom, you scared me. I thought Dad wasn't feeling well."
Azalea looked at Daryl seriously and said, "I want to talk to you while your dad isn't here. I need you to answer me honestly!"
Seeing Azalea so serious and her expression stern, Daryl asked, "Mom, what's so serious?"
Azalea asked, "Have you been close with a woman named Cecilia recently?"
Hearing Azalea suddenly mention Cecilia, Daryl hesitated for a moment, then nodded frankly. "Yes."
Hearing Daryl admit it so openly, Azalea urgently asked, "Are you two dating? Are you serious? Daryl, how far have you gone with her?"
Seeing Azalea so panicked, Daryl quickly held her hand and said, "Mom, how do you know about Cecilia? And how do you know I'm dating? I was planning to tell you about us in a few days, but I didn't expect you to already know."
"So you're serious?" Azalea frowned.
"I'm very serious," Daryl nodded.
Her face darkened, and she said firmly, "No, I don't agree!"
