Chapter 691 Don't Care
That morning, as Susan was washing up, she noticed that the heating had been fixed and the house was already warming up.
It seemed like last night, fate had sent her a living heater. Although she had no idea what had come over him suddenly, Susan didn't want to think too much about it.
Susan finished washing up and was about to head out in her down jacket when her phone suddenly rang.
Without even checking who was calling, she immediately answered. "Hello?"
"Ms. Wilson, it's Leon." Leon's voice came through immediately.
"Leon, what's up?" Hearing it was Leon, Susan was a bit surprised, not knowing what he wanted, but it was definitely related to Seb.
The next moment, Leon said, "Mr. Anderson said he left his watch at your place. How about you bring it to your office, and I'll find some time to pick it up this morning?"
Hearing this, Susan quickly ran into the bedroom and saw that Seb's limited edition ChronoWings watch was indeed lying on the nightstand.
"Sure, I'll bring it to the office," Susan agreed without much thought.
"See you in a bit," Leon said and hung up the phone.
After hanging up, Susan picked up the watch and felt something was off.
Seb had left his watch here, which meant Leon would definitely know that Seb had spent the night at her place. And if he went to the office to get the watch, wouldn't Isabella find out too?
Although they all knew she and Seb were still entangled, the thought of them knowing they had spent the night together made Susan's face immediately blush.
Susan wanted to call Leon to say she would personally deliver the watch to Prosperity Group, but Leon's line was busy, and it was time for her to go to work. She had no choice but to go to work first.
At the office, Susan called Leon again.
"Leon, I know you're busy. How about I bring the watch over?" Susan said as soon as Leon picked up.
Leon laughed and said, "Ms. Wilson, thank you for the offer, but it's not necessary. I'm almost there. Isabella didn't have breakfast, so I'm bringing her some. It's like killing two birds with one stone. By the way, do you want some?"
"Oh, no need, I've already eaten. Bye." Susan stammered and hung up the phone.
Susan searched the office for a while but couldn't find a small box or anything, so she wrapped the limited edition ChronoWings watch in a newspaper, thinking at least it wouldn't arouse suspicion.
Soon, Leon arrived. Susan walked out of her office and saw Leon handing breakfast to Isabella, who was very happy. The two of them were flirting, making others envious.
Susan noticed Dorothy and the receptionist nearby lowering their heads and joked, "Hey, keep it low-key. This place is full of single women. Be careful not to make enemies!"
Hearing this, Isabella laughed and said to Leon, "They're just jealous. Come on, Leon, let's go flaunt our love somewhere else."
"You should eat your breakfast. Work to be done, and we can flaunt our love anytime." Leon laughed and gently pushed Isabella into a chair.
At this moment, Susan handed the newspaper-wrapped item to Leon. "Here you go."
Leon took the item from Susan, saw it was wrapped in newspaper, and understood immediately from Susan's expression.
Then, Leon suddenly pulled out a box wrapped in colorful paper from his pocket and handed it to Susan. "Mr. Anderson asked me to give this to you."
Susan took the box from Leon, puzzled. "What's this?"
"I don't know, but Mr. Anderson said he didn't like the brand you bought and that this one works better," Leon laughed.
"Oh." Susan nodded, still confused about what was in the box.
At this moment, Isabella frowned and looked at the item in Leon's hand. "Leon, what's that in your hand?"
Leon was about to say something. "Oh..."
Susan quickly interrupted him, "Just eat your breakfast. Mind your own business."
Seeing this, Leon quickly said, "I have to go now."
With that, Leon turned and walked out.
Isabella, seeing their odd behavior, quickly blocked Leon's path and, taking advantage of his distraction, grabbed the newspaper-wrapped item from his hand and quickly unwrapped it, revealing the ChronoWings watch.
Isabella's eyes widened. "Wow! A limited edition ChronoWings watch, worth hundreds of thousands of dollars."
Hearing Isabella's words, Susan felt a bit embarrassed and lowered her head.
Seeing Susan's discomfort, Leon quickly whispered, "Give it back to me!"
"Is this your watch?" Isabella asked, surprised.
"No," Leon denied and took the watch back from Isabella.
"Whose is it then?" Isabella asked, puzzled by Leon's odd behavior.
"I have to go," Leon said, putting the watch in his pocket and heading out.
"Leon, are you hiding something from me?" Isabella asked, hands on her hips, clearly upset.
Leon turned back to see the furious Isabella and said helplessly, "I'll explain later, okay?"
"No way!" Isabella insisted.
Leon, feeling helpless, looked to Susan for help.
Susan knew this would happen and had no choice but to take Isabella's hand and whisper, "I'll explain to you later."
Hearing this, Leon waved to Isabella and left.
Later, Susan took Isabella's hand and led her into her office.
"What are you and Leon up to?" Isabella asked, shaking off Susan's hand as they entered the office.
"That watch belongs to Seb," Susan said calmly.
Hearing this, Isabella glanced at Susan and crossed her arms. "I knew it had to be his. Leon would never buy such an expensive watch!"
The next moment, Isabella suddenly lowered her arms and asked, puzzled, "Wait, why would Leon come to get Seb's watch? How did it end up at your place?"
Susan touched her head, finding it hard to explain.
At this moment, Isabella suddenly realized, saying, "Oh, I get it. Did Seb spend the night at your place last night?"
Susan knew that if Isabella found out about her private life, she would blow it out of proportion.
The next moment, Susan turned and sat at her desk, opening her computer. "Say whatever you want. I don't care anymore."
