Chapter 19
Seb kept moving closer, and Susan kept backing away.
Suddenly, Susan's foot hit the sofa behind her, and she fell into a single-seater.
Seb quickly placed his hands on the armrests, leaning in close to Susan.
Susan stared at Seb in terror, her voice trembling, "What do you want?"
Seb's eyes filled with a mischievous glint. "Remember when you said my skills were lacking? I've been practicing. Today, I want to see if I've improved. Last time, you gave me a pretty low score."
Seb's warm breath on her face made Susan even more scared.
"Mr. Anderson, this is the office!" Susan shouted.
"Are you suggesting we go back to the Hilton Hotel?" Seb asked.
Susan knew Seb was getting back at her for last time. Not wanting more trouble, she had to give in.
"Mr. Anderson, I'm sorry for what I said. I won't do it again. Please don't hold it against me!" Susan pleaded, on the verge of tears.
She was pregnant, and if Seb did anything, it could harm the baby.
"Again?" Seb frowned.
"No, never again," Susan said, raising her hand in surrender.
Seeing she was scared enough, Seb straightened up and stepped back, putting his hands in his pockets.
As Seb backed off, Susan quickly stood up. "Mr. Anderson, I'll get back to work now."
She hurried away.
Watching her leave, Seb smiled. He found messing with Susan increasingly fun.
Back in the finance department, Isabella approached her. "Where were you? The food's getting cold."
"I had an upset stomach," Susan said, holding her stomach.
Isabella, her good friend, looked concerned. "Do you need to see a doctor?"
"No, I'm fine now," Susan replied quickly.
"Then hurry up and eat," Isabella said, placing the food in front of Susan.
Feeling nauseous, Susan ran out, covering her mouth.
Seb had vented his anger. Hopefully, he wouldn't bother her again.
The next morning, as Susan approached the Prosperity Group building, she saw Seb and Leon ahead.
She felt annoyed. 'Why do I keep running into Seb?'
But she couldn't be late, so she walked into the lobby, keeping her distance from Seb.
As Seb entered the lobby, Amelia, dressed to impress, ran up to him.
"Good morning, Mr. Anderson!" Amelia said with a fawning smile, her eyes full of seduction.
"Who are you?" Seb squinted.
"Mr. Anderson, I'm Amelia Garcia, just transferred from a branch office. I heard you went to Westbridge University too. We're alumni!" Amelia introduced herself.
Seb nodded coldly. "Do you need something?"
"My dad is a director at James Assurance Company. They've worked with the branch office before. I was wondering if the headquarters needs anything?" Amelia said, leaning towards Seb, her ample chest giving her confidence.
"Ask the administration department," Seb said, moving away from Amelia.
Susan glanced disdainfully and turned to leave.
Amelia was trying to seduce him in broad daylight. James Assurance Company had fewer than ten people. Amelia calling herself a socialite was a joke.
