Chapter 855 He Has Already Fallen in Love with Me

Hearing this out of the blue, Susan's eyebrows knitted together. She thought, 'What is Ellie up to now? It can't be anything good.' Still, she was curious enough to listen.

"So, what do you want to do about it?" Susan asked, her tone icy.

Ellie shot back, "I know you're pissed, thinking I stole Seb from you. And now you're trying every trick in the book to make him remember you and win him back, right?"

"Is it wrong for me to think that way?" Susan snapped, not in the mood for Ellie's nonsense.

"Nope, if I were you, I'd probably do the same, maybe even crazier stuff," Ellie admitted.

"What's your point? I don't have time for this. If there's nothing else, I'm hanging up," Susan said, already irritated by Ellie's voice.

"Wait, I have a proposal," Ellie said quickly.

"What proposal?" Susan asked, confused.

Ellie took a deep breath. "You're mad that Seb loves me now, right? Fine, I'll give you a fair shot to lose."

"What are you talking about?" Susan asked, frowning.

"Seb's got a dinner tonight. He'll be home before nine. Come to his villa at eight," Ellie said.

"What do you mean?" Susan squinted, not getting Ellie's angle.

"You'll see when you get here," Ellie said and then hung up.

"Hello?" Susan still wanted to ask more, but the call was already over.

Putting down the phone, Susan sat on the edge of her bed, hesitating for a long time, unsure if she should go.

Thinking of Seb, Susan couldn't keep her emotions in check. She knew Ellie had no good intentions, but for Seb, she had to go, no matter what. Maybe this was her last chance, and she had to take it.

At eight o'clock, after nightfall, Susan arrived at the villa as planned.

After ringing the doorbell twice, someone came to open the door.

When the door opened, Ellie saw Susan and smiled. "I knew you'd come."

Susan forced a smile but said nothing.

"Come on in." Ellie stepped aside, and Susan walked in.

Entering the foyer, Susan noticed it was still the same as before, except for the shoes on the rack. Those colorful shoes had to be Ellie's; Susan knew she loved bright, flashy shoes.

Being back in this familiar villa made Susan uncomfortable. It was filled with memories of her and Seb's family of four. The warm scenes felt like they happened just yesterday, but now everything had changed.

Seeing Susan standing in the middle of the living room, Ellie smiled. "Have a seat. You should know this place well, right?"

Susan slowly settled on the couch, noticing that while the furniture remained the same, the curtains and carpets had changed from cool-toned and elegant to warm and bright.

Noticing where Susan's gaze had landed, Ellie walked over to the curtains, touched them, and said, "The old curtains were too plain. I like bright colors, so I changed them. Same with the carpet. However, I liked the furniture and decor, so I kept those as they were. Seb doesn't care about these things. He told me I could do whatever I wanted as long as I liked it."

Ellie's words cut deep. Seb used to say the same things to Susan. She remembered how she picked out the curtains, the carpet, the bed sheets—all of it. But now, with a new woman in the house, even those memories were being replaced.

Susan's voice turned cold. "You didn't call me here just to tell me that, did you?"

Ellie smiled and sat down across from Susan. After a moment of staring, she said, "I'll get to the point. I know you've been trying to get close to Seb, trying to make him remember you. But you should stop. Seb won't remember you. We're getting married next month. Even if he does remember you at the last moment, it won't matter because he loves me now!"

Susan couldn't help but laugh. "Do you really think if Seb remembers me, he'll still love you?"

"Susan, don't be so sure of yourself. Human emotions are tricky. When a man falls for a new woman, he leaves the old one behind. Seb might be loyal, but he's not immune to this," Ellie said, her eyes locked on Susan.

Susan sneered. "If you called me here to say this, sorry, I don't agree with you, nor do I care to listen."

With that, Susan stood up from the couch.

Ellie pursed her lips and said, "Fine, if you don't believe me, I'll show you the truth today."

"What do you mean?" Susan stared at Ellie, trying to figure out her game.

"Seb will be back in about ten minutes. When he comes back, hide behind that screen. I'll let you see how much he loves me now. I'll make you believe it!" Ellie pointed to a screen leading to the dining room.

Hearing Ellie's words, Susan's brows furrowed tightly.

She finally understood why Ellie had called her here. Ellie wanted her to witness how she and Seb interacted.

Susan's curiosity was piqued as well; she had envisioned countless times what Seb and Ellie's daily life entailed, having lived under the same roof.

For so many years, Seb had only been with Susan. The thought of him waking up with Ellie every day, being intimate every night, drove Susan crazy, like her heart was being ripped out.

These days, Susan could only imagine it, and even that was painful. Now Ellie was cruel enough to make her see their daily intimate behavior with her own eyes.

Susan felt a wave of nervousness. If she really saw her beloved with another woman, she might lose it.

Seeing Susan's hesitation, Ellie crossed her arms and sneered. "What? Are you scared?"

"What am I scared of?" Susan raised her eyes and asked Ellie coldly.
