Chapter 878 Spell
Seb grabbed Susan's hand and pulled her into the master bedroom, shutting the door behind them.
Susan yanked her hand away, took a couple of steps back, and yelled, "Seb, have you lost your mind treating me like this?"
Seb saw her anxious face but didn't get mad. Instead, he grinned and moved closer, saying, "Nope, I'm pretty sure I'm not crazy."
As he got closer, Susan backed away, panicking. She had no idea what was up with Seb today, but she saw something intense in his eyes.
She thought, 'Why's he looking at me like that? Didn't he forget about me? Shouldn't he be giving Ellie that look?'
While her mind raced, her heel hit something hard, and she couldn't back up any more. She stumbled and fell onto the soft bed.
By then, Seb was right in front of her. Looking down, he said, "A few days ago, you did everything to get close to me and seduce me. Why are you scared now?"
Susan looked up at his playful eyes, frowned, and tried to stay calm. "Seb, I don't blame you for forgetting me. I even support your decision to marry Ellie. I've decided to let go. What more do you want? Can't you consider my feelings? Since you're marrying someone else, why come and mess with me when I'm already heartbroken?"
Her eyes reddened, but she held back her tears.
Averted gaze shielded her tears, a final bastion of pride protecting her from his pity.
Seb saw the sadness in her eyes, frowned, and pulled her head against his stomach.
"I'm sorry, it's all my fault," Seb said, his eyes full of sorrow and pity.
With her face pressed against him, Susan was stunned by his words.
The next moment, Seb pulled her up from the bed.
Meeting his serious gaze, Susan felt a twinge of fear.
Seb touched her long hair, his eyes filled with guilt, and said, "Susan, I will never forget you again."
Susan's eyes widened.
At that moment, she was overjoyed. She smiled, reached out with trembling hands to touch Seb's cheek, and asked, "What do you mean? Are you saying you remember me?"
Seb smiled, touching her cheek, and said, "Did you really think I could forget you?"
He had indeed remembered her. The next moment, Susan wrapped her arms around Seb's neck and excitedly kissed his face, nose, and lips.
Seb stood still, accepting her kisses like a statue.
Susan cried tears of joy, holding Seb's face, her eyes brimming with tears.
Seeing Susan's joyful expression, Seb looked at her with deep affection.
"When did you remember me?" Susan wiped her tears and quickly asked.
Seb's eyes were intense as he replied, "The night before my wedding with Ellie."
Hearing this, Susan frowned.
Today was at least two weeks before his wedding with Ellie. If he remembered her, why had he only come to Northstar City to find her now?
Susan's face turned unhappy. "If you remembered me a while ago, why are you only coming to find me now? Do you know how I've been these days? Do you know how sad I was? Without you, I didn't know how to go on with my life."
As she spoke, Susan choked up, hitting Seb's chest with her hands to vent her grievances and frustrations.
Seb stood there, letting Susan hit him.
It wasn't until she was tired that she stopped.
Seb then pulled her into his arms, holding her tight.
At that moment, Seb's eyes also became moist.
With his chin resting on Susan's forehead, he said heavily, "I'm sorry, it's all my fault. You can punish me however you want from now on."
Hearing this, Susan finally felt a bit better. She pressed her face against his neck, closed her eyes, and took in his familiar scent.
After a while, Susan looked up, meeting his affectionate gaze, and asked, "Is there a reason why you haven't come to me for so long? And do you know about Ellie's scheme? What about Leon? He couldn't have betrayed you."
Hearing Susan's jumbled questions, Seb smiled slightly.
He pulled Susan to sit on the edge of the bed and said with a smile, "Let me explain everything, okay?"
Susan smiled and then tugged at his shirt collar, acting playfully. "You have to explain everything in detail!"
"Okay!" Seb nodded obediently.
Susan tilted her head, ready to listen intently.
Seb then said, "The night before my wedding with Ellie, I found a very strange spell under the bed."
"Spell?" Susan frowned.
Seb nodded. "My grandfather had a friend who was into this stuff. I remember that person visiting my grandfather a lot when I was a kid, so I know a bit about it."
"How could something like that be under your bed?" Susan felt a bit creeped out.
"That person has been dead for years, but he had students, and I had some connections with them. So I took the spell to one of them, and it turned out to be a spell to make someone forget their love," Seb explained.
"A spell to forget love? Are you saying that Ellie placed that spell under your bed?" Susan frowned, looking at Seb.
