Chapter 366 Woman's Mouth Can't Be Controlled
"If you kick the bucket, I'll stay single for you forever!" Susan reached out and touched his cheek, her voice all choked up.
She wasn't great with the mushy stuff, but right now, she meant every word. In this lifetime, besides Seb, no other dude stood a chance.
Hearing this, Seb's brows knitted together before he said, "You won't get that chance. I'm sticking around for a long time."
"I messed up, but I can't think of any other words to express myself," Susan said, looking like a kid who just got caught with their hand in the cookie jar.
Usually, she had a sharp tongue, so why was she all tongue-tied now?
Seeing Susan's pitiful look, Seb felt a tightness in his gut and couldn't hold back anymore. He stepped forward and kissed her hard!
At that moment, a bunch of words popped into Susan's head.
I love you!
I love you so damn much!
Besides you, I won't love anyone else in this lifetime!
Seb, let's be together forever.'
So many words. Susan hated herself right then. Why did she say she'd stay single for him instead of all that?
Tonight, Seb's kiss was both gentle and fiery.
Susan wanted to push Seb away and spill her guts to make up for her earlier screw-up.
But Seb clung to her like he never wanted to let go.
And she didn't want Seb to leave her, not even a little bit.
So, Susan ditched the idea of confessing and wrapped her arms around his neck. Actions spoke louder than words, and Seb probably liked it better that way.
That night, Susan felt like a new person; it was a fresh start.
She went from a simple girl to a woman with two kids, and the one who saw her through it all was Seb.
If she had only loved Seb in her heart before, now even her body was hooked on him. Seb made her unable to stop, whether on the ground or in bed.
After Susan was worn out, she and Seb crashed together.
The next morning, Susan was late again!
This was the second time this week, and Susan was super annoyed.
Of course, today she was also rocking the scarf that Seb said was ugly because there were more hickeys on her neck.
When Susan walked into the office wearing a green dress, the ladies in Group Six all stared at her for a few seconds.
Seeing their weird looks, Susan felt a bit freaked out and quickly walked into her office.
Susan checked herself for a long time. Her clothes were fine; her face was clean, and the scarf totally covered the hickeys on her neck. She should be good.
Only then did Susan feel a bit relieved and plopped down in her leather chair, letting out a sigh of relief.
This morning, when she woke up, the pillow beside her was empty again.
She knew Seb must have gone to work early. Even though his company officially started at nine, he'd be in the office handling business by eight.
After freshening up, Susan opened the wardrobe and was floored by what she saw!
The wardrobe was packed with her clothes, underwear, shoes, and bags, way more than what Seb had the department store send over a few days ago. It almost filled the entire wall of the wardrobe.
Seeing this, Susan's eyes went wide, but she still grinned knowingly.
Seb must've spent a whole day having someone buy all these clothes and shoes in her size and neatly put them in the wardrobe. Seb had planned this all along.
Susan picked a green dress and a pair of white shoes from the wardrobe and headed to work, feeling light as a feather.
The office door suddenly knocked from outside.
Susan quickly adjusted the scarf on her neck and then called out, "Come in!"
The next moment, the door opened, and Ingrid walked in.
Ingrid walked to Susan's desk, placed a document in front of her, and smiled. "Ms. Wilson, this case has been handed over to the client and needs your signature for confirmation."
"Okay." Susan looked through the document and then picked up a pen to sign her name.
After signing, Susan smiled and handed the document back to Ingrid.
Ingrid took the document and was about to leave when she suddenly thought of something. She turned back to Susan with a smile and said, "Ms. Wilson, your clothes these past two days are really beautiful. They look like designer brands and must be quite expensive. The women outside are green with envy!"
Hearing this, Susan looked down at her clothes, touched her face, and quickly denied, "They're just high-quality replicas, not very expensive."
Susan hadn't thought much about it these past two days, wearing the clothes Seb bought her out the door, forgetting the office politics. With her salary, wearing such designer clothes occasionally was fine, but wearing them every day would surely cause gossip among her female colleagues. It seemed she couldn't wear new clothes tomorrow.
Ingrid raised an eyebrow and said, "Ms. Wilson, don't be modest. Now that Mr. Johnson from Prosperity Group is your boyfriend. I heard he's a shareholder in Prosperity Group. These clothes must have been bought by him, right?"
"No." Susan was stunned by this.
They were still spreading rumors about her and Leon. What should she do? Susan felt a headache coming on.
But at this moment, Susan's denial only made Ingrid think she was being coy.
"Oh, come on, Ms. Wilson. Even though you've been divorced, you're single now, and Mr. Johnson is also single. You two are perfectly legitimate!" Ingrid laughed.
In the end, Susan could only smile and let it go.
They could say whatever they wanted; she couldn't control their mouths.
At this moment, there was a sudden commotion outside.
Susan and Ingrid exchanged a glance, and then Susan immediately walked out, with Ingrid following.
As soon as she stepped out of her office, Susan saw an irate man shouting and sweeping several documents off a desk onto the floor.
