Chapter 910 Annoyance

Leon looked pretty worried when he heard Isabella's request.

Seeing Leon's uneasy face, Isabella started to fear the worst.

She grabbed his hand and urgently asked, "Don't lie to me. Do I have a serious illness? Am I in danger? If so, get me a plane ticket home right now. I can't die in a foreign country!"

Leon found it a bit funny but seeing how cute Isabella looked, he smiled and said, "Calm down. Let me explain everything to you slowly, okay?"

Isabella quieted down.

Then she realized she was still holding Leon's hand tightly, and he was looking at their hands, smiling.

Feeling embarrassed, she quickly let go of his hand, turned her face away, and awkwardly fixed her hair.

She remembered what had happened this morning, thinking she had seen something she shouldn't have, and her face turned red.

Seeing Isabella's flushed face, Leon found her even more endearing, and a sense of affection and pity welled up in his heart.

Leon cleared his throat and said, "After a thorough examination, the doctor said that bleeding on your first sex is normal and there's nothing serious. You just need to stay in the hospital for two days for observation and get some anti-inflammatory IV drips."

Leon felt pretty awkward saying this, as it was an embarrassing topic.

Isabella's face turned even redder. When she looked up, she accidentally met his deep, soulful eyes.

In his eyes, she saw a deep sense of guilt and remorse, maybe even regret.

Isabella was still angry and resentful towards Leon. After all, something she had guarded for thirty years was gone overnight.

She didn't even know what had happened, and she had a first sex, feeling both emotional and disappointed.

Isabella frowned and said, "I don't want Susan to know about this. Why don't you tell her that I felt bored and went back home early?"

Leon nodded. "Okay."

Isabella curled up on the hospital bed and covered her head with the blanket because she didn't know how to face Leon.

Seeing Isabella cover her head with the blanket, Leon frowned. He wanted to apologize verbally, but he felt that just saying sorry wouldn't be enough. He opened his mouth but didn't know what to say.

Unexpectedly, Isabella, under the blanket, said, "Just go, I'm fine."

Leon didn't move but said, "I've already taken leave from Mr. Anderson. I want to stay with you today."

Hearing this, Isabella's eyes under the blanket became moist. This sentence was very important to her fragile state.

But she couldn't rely on him too much because she thought they were not a couple, and last night was just a mistake.

Isabella said, "You don't need to stay with me. I'll be fine here by myself."

Leon frowned upon hearing this.

He couldn't do anything else right now but stay with her.

Isabella cut Leon off, sounding a bit annoyed, "Can you just go? I really don't know how to face you. Do you get that?"

Leon heard the choke in her voice. Not wanting to upset her more, he quickly said, "Okay, I'll leave right away. Don't be mad, alright?"

As he spoke, Leon stood up and took a couple of steps back towards the door.

Seeing Isabella lying still under the blanket, Leon kept his silence and quietly left the room, feeling a wave of guilt wash over him.

While getting her IV drip, Isabella replayed everything that had happened from last night to today. But she couldn't remember much from last night, just a warm embrace that made her feel safe and cozy.

Isabella felt exhausted. The hangover from last night and the body's pain were still tormenting her. She closed her eyes and drifted off to sleep.

After a while, Isabella heard some noises and slowly opened her eyes.

She saw a young girl in a white nurse's uniform.

The nurse smiled and said, "Ms. Brown, you're awake!"

Isabella nodded and struggled to sit up.

The nurse quickly came over, placed a soft pillow behind Isabella's back, and thoughtfully poured a cup of water. "Have some water. Your lips are dry."

"Thanks." Isabella took the cup and drank more than half of it.

She was really thirsty and now also hungry. Looking outside, it was almost noon. She hadn't eaten anything since morning.

The nurse took the cup and brought over a thermos, still smiling brightly. "This is cream of mushroom soup. Shall I serve you a bowl?"

"Cream of mushroom soup?" Isabella frowned, confused.

'Does the hospital provide cream of mushroom soup? And why is this nurse being so attentive? Hospital nurses usually don't offer this kind of service, right?' While she was puzzled, the nurse said, "Mr. Johnson hired me as your private nurse. I'll be taking care of you for the next few days. If you need anything, just let me know."

Hearing this, Isabella lowered her head in silence.

Leon had thought of everything. Knowing she was alone in the hospital and didn't want to see him, he had hired a nurse to take care of her. It seemed the cream of mushroom soup was also his idea.

Soon, the nurse brought a steaming bowl of soup to Isabella.

"Thanks," Isabella said, taking the soup.

Isabella was naturally a cheerful girl, and the setbacks over the years had made her strong.

So, the next moment, she put aside all her worries and focused on having the soup.

At this time, a tall figure stood outside the ward.

Leon, standing in the corner, saw Isabella drinking the soup and smiled.

He had thought she would be too upset to eat or drink, but it seemed she was fine now. He had underestimated Isabella.

Leon felt a mix of emotions when he realized he was Isabella's first man.

In that moment, Leon felt a strong urge to become her husband, but after thinking it over, he turned away.

Isabella finished the soup with relish and handed the bowl back to the nurse.

The nurse took the bowl and suddenly produced a large, beautiful bouquet of flowers from somewhere.
