Chapter 986 Try Harder Tonight

Hearing Seb's words, Leon glanced down at his clothes and couldn't help but burst out laughing.

Seeing Leon's cheerful grin, Seb put down his pen, leaned back in his leather chair, and asked with a smirk, "You used to be all serious, but now you're grinning like a fool. Is a woman's charm really that strong?"

Leon stopped laughing and shot back, "Mr. Anderson, shouldn't I be asking you that? Aren't you in the same boat?"

Seb's face turned a bit awkward, and he scratched his nose.

Noticing Seb's embarrassed look, Leon fiddled with his tie and said softly, "Isabella was worried other women might be eyeing me, so she made me wear these old clothes from a few years back."

Seb laughed heartily. "Women can be so possessive."

"Forget about the clothing expenses, thanks, Mr. Anderson," Leon said, chuckling.

After Leon left, Susan walked in with a glass of milk.

"Milk again?" Seb frowned at the sight of the glass in Susan's hand.

"Yeah," Susan said, shoving the glass into Seb's hand before he could refuse, and then stared at him.

Seb gave Susan a helpless look and took a big gulp of the milk.

"How many times have I told you to drink it slowly?" Susan nagged.

"I'm getting sick of milk," Seb said, handing the glass back to Susan.

"Milk is good for you, so drink up!" Susan rolled her eyes. She noticed Seb was acting more and more like a spoiled child, always seeking her attention.

Suddenly, Seb stepped forward, wrapped his arms around Susan's waist, and shoved the glass back into her hand, playfully saying, "Why don't you feed me?"

Susan rolled her eyes and tried to push him away.

But Seb held her waist tightly, his gaze growing more suggestive. "If you feed me, I'll drink it. Otherwise, no deal."

Seeing the look in his eyes, Susan frowned. "Let go of me. This is the office; you can't mess around!"

With a push, Seb let go and put his hands in his pockets, but his eyes stayed on Susan. "Look at you, always jumping to conclusions. I don't have any bad intentions!"

"I find you more and more shameless," Susan retorted.

"But you love my shamelessness," Seb teased.

Every day, he would tease Susan, enjoying her blush, embarrassment, or even annoyance.

Whenever Susan walked into the CEO's office, she would be rendered speechless by his teasing, so she used her usual trick to escape.

The next moment, Susan moved towards the door, saying, "Mr. Anderson, if there's nothing else, I'll get back to work."

Seeing her trying to escape, Seb took a big step forward and pressed down on the door she was about to open.

Susan looked up and met Seb's suggestive gaze.

She could only frown and say, "Mr. Anderson, if you want to drink maternal milk, I can go buy some for you right now. I heard there's a company promoting that service."

Seb stared at Susan and said, "I'm not interested in anyone else's maternal milk."

Susan took a step back, crossing her arms over her chest. "Spring is already a few years old; I don't have any maternal milk left."

Seb stepped forward, grabbed her shoulders, and whispered in her ear, "We can hurry up and have another baby."

He was bringing up the old topic again. Lately, he seemed obsessed, constantly pestering Susan to have another kid, and his nightly desires for intimacy were unremitting.

"These things should happen naturally, right?" Susan responded evasively.

Susan also looked forward to having another child, but she felt it should happen naturally and not be forced. Spring was still young, Hayden needed her help with schoolwork, and she enjoyed her job as the CEO's secretary. If they had another kid, her life would become even more hectic, and she worried about balancing all her responsibilities.

"Nothing succeeds without effort." Seb's warm breath tickled her ear, making Susan feel itchy.

"If we need to make an effort, let's do it at home. It's work time now. By the way, you have an important appointment in five minutes. Mr. Cooper from Apex Global Enterprises is coming to discuss the contract with you. Don't be late," Susan quickly said with a smile to appease him.

Seb finally released Susan's shoulders, took a step back, and adjusted his tie. "Don't worry, I know how to separate business from personal matters."

Susan felt relieved. She stepped forward to straighten Seb's tie and smiled. "Mr. Anderson is always so professional."

Seb then mentioned Leon coming to work in shabby clothes.

Susan couldn't help but smile. "I was wondering why he was dressed so strangely today. Isabella is really funny. But she can rest assured, I'll keep an eye on Leon for her."

"You have so many tasks, not only watching me but also helping to watch Leon," Seb said with a smirk.

"Well, you two are just so likable," Susan said, raising her chin with a smile.

At that moment, there was a sudden knock on the door.

Seb and Susan exchanged a glance, and then Seb turned and walked to his desk to sit down.

Susan put away her smile, reached out, and opened the door to the CEO's office.

Seeing a middle-aged man outside, she immediately put on a professional smile. "Mr. Cooper, you're here? Mr. Anderson is expecting you. Please come in!"

The middle-aged man smiled and walked into the CEO's office.

Seeing that it was Wayne Cooper, Seb, who had been sitting upright, stood up and greeted Wayne with a handshake.

After exchanging a few pleasantries, Susan left to make coffee.

A few minutes later, Susan walked in with two steaming cups of coffee and placed them on the coffee table in the meeting area.

Just as Susan placed a cup of coffee in front of Seb, he called out to her while discussing business with Wayne.

Seb looked up at Susan and said, "Susan, don't forget what we talked about earlier. Put in some extra effort tonight!"
