Chapter 651 Let Him Hate Me
"Rylee found your photo at my house. She knows everything now, and she's already told Seb," Andrew explained.
Hearing this, Susan's legs almost buckled beneath her.
She knew she couldn't keep it a secret; she should have told Seb a long time ago.
Andrew continued, "Now Seb and Rylee think we conspired to get close to them and seize the Anderson Family's assets. They're probably very angry, and Rylee has already moved out of our house."
After taking a deep breath, Susan felt a sense of relief.
To be honest, this secret had been weighing her down. She'd dreaded this moment, dreaded hurting Seb and Rylee, dreaded the complications it would bring. But now…now it was done.
However, the idea of her and Andrew conspiring, though, was ludicrous. She loathed the man.
The next moment, Susan sneered, "Andrew, are you scared? Rylee knowing about your past, about your true feelings…that puts a dent in your grand plans, doesn't it?"
To be honest, even if Seb and Rylee misunderstood, Susan felt it was worth it because it would make them wary of the scheming Andrew.
Hearing Susan's mockery, Andrew was a bit flustered. "Susan, if they find out about this, it won't be good for either of us. Don't be so smug. Seb might come after you soon, and you know he won't hesitate to crush anyone who crosses him."
"I don't think you called me just to give me a heads-up, did you?" Susan sensed he had another motive.
Exposed, Andrew said, "Now Seb and Rylee think we planned this all along: I marry Rylee, you marry Seb, and then we team up to mess up the Anderson Family and ultimately take over Prosperity Group. We never had such a scheme! If you would cooperate with me, it would be great. So if Seb comes to you, don't admit anything. You know the consequences will be severe!"
"Actually, it's severe for you, right? Rylee might forgive you for dating me, but she will never forgive you for conspiring with me to deceive her and gain huge benefits. Right?" Susan had already figured out his thoughts from his words.
"Susan, are you out of your mind? Admitting this won't do any good for either of us, and we never conspired!" Andrew said, agitated.
Susan, however, smiled calmly. "Andrew, I'm already divorced from Seb. He can think whatever he wants about me. No matter how good I am, he won't remarry me."
"You crazy woman, I don't know what you're thinking. I must have lost my mind to call you!" Andrew was furious at Susan's words, cursed a couple of times, and hung up the phone.
After putting away her phone, Susan pursed her lips. She felt a sense of satisfaction seeing Andrew so flustered.
No wonder Seb was so angry when he came to see her; he had found out about her past relationship with Andrew.
The thought of Seb believing she'd conspired with Andrew, though, brought a frown to her face.
How could he think that of her? No wonder he had spoken so sarcastically earlier, even saying she was unfit to be a mother and had ulterior motives in approaching him. It was all because Rylee found her photo at Andrew's house.
Susan initially wanted to explain to Seb, but then she thought, there was no point. They had no future together, so why bother explaining? Maybe letting him hate her was a good thing; he could move on.
Having made up her mind, Susan turned and walked home.
The next few days were calm.
On Saturday morning, Susan bought a lot of things and wanted to visit Hayden and Spring at the villa.
As she approached the villa, Susan called Kathy as usual to check if Seb was home. Although he usually worked overtime on weekends, it was better to ask to avoid awkward encounters. She didn't want to see him now, as he might be sarcastic again.
However, Kathy didn't answer the phone after two calls.
Susan frowned, thinking Kathy must be busy and didn't hear the phone.
So Susan went straight to the villa and was surprised to see two men in black suits standing at the gate.
Two tall, burly men in black suits were standing on either side of the villa's gate.
Susan wondered what this meant. Had they hired bodyguards?
She suddenly remembered Andrew saying Rylee had moved in here. Was Seb worried Andrew would harass Rylee, so he hired bodyguards?
Carrying her bags, Susan stepped forward to ring the doorbell.
But one of the men in black suits stopped her.
"Ms. Wilson, right?" The man looked Susan up and down.
Susan frowned and replied, "Yes, I'm here to see my kids."
But the man in the black suit said, "Sorry, Mr. Anderson has instructed that no one is allowed to enter the villa without his permission."
Hearing this, Susan argued, "I'm here to see my kids. Let me in!"
But the man didn't let her near the door. "Sorry, you can't go in."
"Then call Seb and tell him I am here to see the kids," Susan said angrily.
The two security guards shook their heads. "Sorry, we follow orders. Please leave."
"You..." Susan, carrying her bags, looked at the door but couldn't get in, feeling very frustrated.
At that moment, the door opened a crack, and Kathy came out.
Kathy said to the bodyguards, "I'll talk to her for a moment."
One of the guards nodded in agreement.
The next moment, Kathy walked up to Susan.
